I’m an old Arkansas river rat myself I’ve limb lined, trot lined and pole fished these crazy cats all my life, love your video keep it up brother Thanks for sharing.👍👍
Luv you're still out there doing what I want to do. But...my neighborhood got hit by a double tornado. 2 Tornados combined together and hit the ground on the other side of the neighbor's house hit the ground and came over my house like a freight train. Think I was the luckiest home with minor damage, 2 trees came through my roof in the same hole. My new 4X4 GMCgot hit by a 8" limb 10ft long, but my new canoe rack deflected it off like a spring board. Just bought it 2 weeks ago. Was so happy it still looks good with 1 minor dent in the bed. God takes care of his own! 😊👍 But a little good news, I just did a beaver job for a HOA. They had a trapper last year who got 5 beaver in 14 days. I did 14 days, but bad weather and flooding moved in and cut 4 days out of my trapping time. I got 14 beaver in 10 days. So the HOA is ranting about my ability to all the other HOAs. I keep telling them that I am the best in the Florida Panhandle, but so does all the rest. So I have to get a chance to prove it. A 162 acre lake, and no one has seen any beaver. I know there is still some in there by 3 mismatches on my last day. Season was over, they had all moved out of breeding season, into the summer feeding season. Food bait works, but when their favorite foods are growing everywhere, it is a real pain to try and get them to pick yours. So I have them in the fall, and 2 others called to schedule me for the fall. Next year is looking good! But I'm dealing with insurance companies and contractors for the summer.
Your going to be eating Catfish for awhile. Congrats on the successful limb lines you guys!!! How are the BEE'S doing Chris? Probably have honey just pouring out the boxes this time of year. Take care and keep the heat down there Chris, l dispise Summer heat. Ready for snow and cold already. LOL
Most of these will be fried up at our fall rapping convention. Bees are doing great. I picked through them last weekend and pulled out a little honey to sell at the wife's market. Folks had started asking about it already. A few more weeks and we will be harvesting the rest of this year's spring honey.
Heck yea! Y’all got em! I use single drops and at most two because I don’t like those hooks flying around when a big one gets on but watching you pull up 4 on one line was pretty cool. I’m a 25-40 line kinda guy. 100+ could have a guy working way harder than he wants 😆 Awesome job! Really enjoyed it brother
I don't, it's basically a 20-25' bank line. With 4 barrel swivels spaced about 4' apart, clip the trot line snap with a hook to the swivel. A 3lb window weight at the end. On the top end there is a snap ring for quick anchoring at the limb.
The water was really high and muddy due to rain just before we arrived. It will clear a lot, but we are not far from where it dumps into the Mississippi. It is never what I would call clear.
Now that is a fun day on the water! This is my first time watching limb line fishing. Reminds me a bit of long lining for halibut. Are the catfish making that grunting sound or is that pigs or other animals in the distance?
Very similar to using the long line but with less hooks and tension, therefore reducing the risk of injury. That was the fish grunting, leaving the pigs at the house. They aren't much help in the boat. LOL.
You’re in major violation of blue catfish regulation for Lewisville. The ones you threw back are eaters. Your only allowed 5 over 20” and 1 over 30”. A 30” fish is 8-10 lbs which you were clearly over. Hate to see anglers who have zero regard for our resource.
@@AnArkansasTrapper yep this lake was almost cleaned out by irresponsible anglers years ago. Regulations are in place to protect the resource so we can all enjoy it.
Damn son. Great job on the limb lines. Cleaning up on the catfish!!!!!
That was a fun weekend and filled the freezer as well.
Always love the excitement of checking lines, you never know what your going to pull up, thanks for sharing 👍
It is always a good adventure.
That was awesome! Thank you for sharing my friends!
It was a good weekend trip.

Thanks, Glad you enjoyed it.
We used to limb line in Bayou Deview with beef blood, it was always fun!
I spent many of morning duck hunting Bayou Deview. I have always found running lines to be enjoyable.
That kinda looked like the St. Francis! Or Cache river lol
Great trip guys, that is more nice cat than you would catch in a month in Indiana!
Thanks. It was a good weekend made better with some good catches.
Nice job Chris. Lots of work but also a good time
Ready to go back to work today so I can rest.

Hate to hear of the tornado but glad you got minimum damage and are ok.
It is always good. When you get recognized for a job well done.
Good eatin there.

Running multiple hooks can be fun but it can get tangled fast. Catching 3 on 1 line is a lot of fun
@@Chalz108 absolutely.
Yes Sir. A lot less work and reduces the risk of getting hurt.
Do you have a video on how you put together those limb lines? I'd like to try multiple hook set. Thanks

Awesome awesome stuff buddy
Thanks for the visit

Chris that is a lot of food for the family.
Just out of curiosity, does the river ever get clear or is it consistent murky?

good fishing I love fishing like that😂😂😂

@ElGatoAzulTV why are you complaining to him about a lake he's not fishing on??
