I'm always surprised that the cars are so nice and don't match the houses. Where are all the rust buckets like 20 years ago? Why do these run down houses all have $30,000 cars on the street?
Because property taxes and mortgage is more like $75 a month. For this reason they can make car payment easily. In California people live pay check to paycheck while making 6 figures. I hope this helps you understand what is happening
It's really sad how such nice homes have fallen into such a state of disrepair, some of them beyond repair. The government should be investing in the restoration of those once beautiful homes instead of throwing money down the drain on other ridiculous pursuits.
@@mimmop7224 I wouldn't really say dangerous because alot cities in each state definitely have high crime but it depends on the area you go to like maybe the outskirts of Detroit and down town is nice but i really would be careful going to certain gas stations and stores during the day and especially at night now to avoid being robbed and even killed and car jacked because this city is really known for these things its very common so I would be careful and i wouldn't be driving through here at night if you're not familiar with the areas.
Yes but, this looks even more horrible than all the other Detroit videos before? And maybe at least some viewers could think about like 'that's why we need to have endless wars abroad as a cover up or destraction from the situation of a lot of places back home in America'? And the US already owes about 35 trillion USD - who wants to lend even more money on such a country? (.. responsablity asks.)
Hearing the sounds of rap music blasting in the background is like the ultimate sign the people in the hood are cool with living like this. It's like walking down the hallways of a hospital in a cancer ward and someone's blasting rap music like everything is cool and okay.
@@E96_ The people in this neighborhood are literally living in a neighborhood that's destructing right in front of them while at the same time happy listening to a music that's glorifying the destruction.
Such nice homes gone all to waste. Blame always inept and incompetent and always democrat leadership pandering to the Auto Workers, who will soon find themselves out of business entirely.
Ahhh yes! Another social gathering to come up with a solution on how they can better society while listening to rap music! Section 8 thanks them for their contribution!

Good Question
Priorities all messed up up, $50,000 car while living on section 8 and every type of government assistance, they are lost

No way, they’d be restored and destroyed within days. These people don’t take care of anything.
Many kept there by oppressive establishment ! ✌️♥️

Why is a new sidewalk being installed around the abandoned church? Why bother?
Detroit has been fixing and upgrading infrastructure throughout the city in recent years. And demolishing abandoned buildings.
Such lovely people!
Muitas casas bonitas

so i guess everyone's gotta be sad and act like they are dying if they are poor?
This is the dumbest comment I've ever seen
its true. like they got cancer so they keep watching breaking bad and pretending theyre walter white glorifying their demise in a pitiful way.
It's all about drugs and power, don't stop till there's nothing left
Not the most dangerous neighborhoods in Detroit. I ride my bike through that area. No one has ever bothered me.
Missed this one earlier, but glad I saw it now. Thanks for driving past Detroit's second oldest house! Historic video!

Scary video tour of the Detroit hood and slums. No go at night !
The three houses look very interesting. 2:20
Eu gostaria de saber se mora gente nesse lugar
I don't know but if you look up Baltimore ghettos, they look like slums compared to this neighborhood 😬
Detroit has finally gained population for the first time since 1957, and stands at about 630,000.
