U not done Tassy, U not done the Top Road from Normanton through to Burketown and on to Borroloola and on to Cape Crawford then the Limmen Bite and Roper River through to Mataranka. Then through the top through Kakadu and through Cahills Crossing into Arnhem Land and out to the most Northerly point of the Northern Territory, Coburg Peninsula. Then out west to Kununurra and beyond. You have WAY WAY WAY MORE to do before you finish the circle guys !
Hello Sarah and Kaleen. There are a heap of good spots to camp on the Gregory river that are far less crowded than the bridge camp. We lived there in the 80s and regularly camped at check point 3 (canoe race in May each year) and had no one there. Last time we were there was 2019 and we were by ourselves and there were 100’s of vans at the bridge. Enjoy the Savannah way and be careful of crocs at Robinson river.
Gregory River looked fantastic. Definitely adding that to the itinerary. Really appreciate the way you capture all these great places (nice editing and videography!). Looking forward to more of your NT adventures!
thanks legend! its a pleasure to make vids for you! we love it especially when people let us know they enjoyed it! gives a little kick up the bum to keep going!
The quickest 21 minute VLOG yet. Very enjoyable, thank you. We last visited the Daly Waters pub in 1989, driving a Datsun 200 with a 6x4 box trailer filled with a swag, food, fuel and spares and a 12 month old baby boy. It looked nothing like when you visited. I'm still amazed at the amount of towed traffic into tourist sites. It's too late now, but there are Australian War Grave Cemeteries littered around the NT as well as old WWII runways - which were used to bomb Nui Gini and the closer North East Pacific islands more widely. In June 1986 we went to a wedding at Gregory Downs station where the groom was the head stockman and the bride was my wife's close cousin. It was about 120 Km from Normanton from where we had to pick up the tables and chairs, which emptied the pub and cafes - but most of the Normanton population (~25) was invited, no grey nomads in those days so no one lost out. Just quietly, "PIG" stands for Pride, Integrity and Guts". Thousands will argue, but, predominantly, it's true. Stu
A big thank you for sharing this video with me Sarah and Keelan it was very different to the normal videos but definitely one of the best. That free camping spot very nice spot with that river for a swim look fantastic. And that town ship reminds me of Crocodile Dundee with the old truck which drove up the bush looking for Mick . That car museum looked amazing some very nice old school cars. So looking forward to seeing you both next Friday night for your next adventure
Thanks for all the snippets of your adventure! Really gave me an idea of what it's like and the atmosphere. Also cannot believe that blinking plug thing stayed on accross all that driving 😮
No words! How did that gas cap stay on the leg!!!! That’s insane! Great that you finally made the NT, and got to one of our favourite pubs! That camp looked epic, scary about that branch hooking a child, just shows how carful you need to be! Safe travels legends, hope you are both well!
NT 👏👏👏👏👏👏, how exciting and can’t wait to watch your adventures. This was such a fun episode. I’m so excited too to hear that you are heading down the centre, hope you eventually make it to the Flinders Ranges, it’s the most epic and vast and beautiful and silent place ❤️❤️. See you next week.
not too far from me old town doomagee where we built a dam across the normington river. Had to tow a guy in his cortina along one of those bull dust tracks. Gave him a dive mask and a snorkel so he could breath and said keep your windcscreen wipers on. Did 50kms like that :)
In the "Dail Waters" part of the Video, I can't believe it but in the pub I saw someone I know! They routinely travel mainly in WA and NT, I didn't even know they were traveling. I'll have to surprise them with this when I see them again. Good video, keep making them, I should be joining the traveling crowd in a year or so in a Mog.
oh no way!! we try do out best to crop out as many people as possible! just in case they don't want to be on film! good on ya mate will be a awesome trip in the big mog
Great content guys 👍, so envious of you both! your story with your gas cap reminds me of a trip we did when I was a teenager (long time ago), 400k trip with a Rubik's cube sitting on tow bar (between ball and vehicle, loose not jammed in), we handout realised until we went to unpack car and here it was still there!
So good how the gas cap stayed on the van through those roads. Ripper suspension. See what else you guys can balance while driving. The flowing river looked awesome. Not sure how keen I would be after hearing about someone getting snagged on underwater trees. Keep up the ripper work.
Not sure about the gas cap Keelan, ATX is good, but 🤣🤣, I recon you’re having a lend of us, some quirky shit 😮😂. Another great Ep u 2, well done, cheers 🥂🍻
The Daiy waters pub is a wicked place last time I was there it was the AFL Grand final day, people everywhere and I paid 75 bucks for a Carton of milton's that was 9 years ago.

Great vid as always. If doing qld again you really need to see the top part, cobald gorge, lawn hill and other spots. Really beautiful country.
Ask for a Donkey Burger at the Daly Waters pub guys. That one in the pen is for fattening to create them.
Still so much to see of Australia on your map . You have only done the coast. Daley Waters pub changed since we were there back in the 80’s
