never have been on a cruise, but its my dream, i wish i could spend all my life travelling on cruise ships
Seems like a lot of work, think I'll just stay home
I don't know about the first thing but I certainly never do anything that resembles work. I barely wash myself but then again I'm in the pool anyway
@@billsmith281 he's cray cray with this wash down the whole cabin.
@@ladonnaadam5014 Maybe he's related to Howard Hughes 🤣
Change into my swimsuit and head to the pool
It didn't used to be, but first thing is check for hidden cameras. Then after it's all clear, I get out the lysol wipes and wipe down all surfaces, and pretty much do all the other items you mentioned.
Paranoid much Jesus 😮
Bed bug check is #1 before I bring my luggage in.
How often do you find bed bugs?? 😮
@@biancacastellano9856 You will hardly ever find the actual bug. You will find remnants of bed bugs. If you do take photos and leave immediately.
I've only seen one bed bug, the rest of the times, I've found small blood stains in the mattress seams and bug casings.
Airport hotels are the worst, and especially the ground floor rooms. Higher up better.
Sanitize and Chek for bed bugs 😅
Turn on heat, put in water bottles, plug in electronics, hang up formal gowns, inspect sheets, listen for announcements.
Turn on the heat????
@tatianagarza1728 yes was Oct 30 and cold in VA
E-MUSTER!
Talk about a stickler. The cabin has always been fine for me. 😊
As soon as I enter my cabin I leave it, to see the ship 😂
Yeah stand on the pier & wave it goodbye 😂
@@billsmith281 yes
If you drink enough booze from your unlimited drink package, you can sleep right through the bed bugs.
Lol!!!
I would never go on a vacation where the first things I have to do is sanitize the room and check for bed bugs. How low are standards on these things. Gross.
Same proceedure for the next hotel room you stay in
I honestly thought I'd take a break from cruising this year....but...
Absolutely SANITIZE IMMEDIATELY!!!!
Shouldn't be a paying client's job to make sure their cabin is clean and sanitised.
@madeovstarstuff should be but it's you living in there now. Somebody else will not disinfect as you would. Never assume!
Thank God for this brand new adventure with the family.❤ Then, disinfectant, check for bed bugs, and unpack.
Bed bug check, E-muster, and check out the ship.
Aren't the Cabins cleaned b4 you arrive?
Thanks for sharing 🤍🤍🤍
What's the best bed bug spray?
Sound like a barrel of laughs to cruise with
Great tips agree 💯
Explore is the first thing. Even though everything is in front of me I explore bc I’m fascinated by rooms
Good tips
1 Take photos and make a video walk through of the cabin.
2 Check essential functions as AC, balcony door, toilet and shower
3 set up bed bug trap (just because you see none doesn't mean there are none)
BIG Thing: I would never ask my cabin stewart for anything that can wait until the next day.
This is their busiest day so don't make their day harder with petty request like minibar changes. Instead I say hello if I hear them near my door, learn their name and hand over a small prepared candy gift.
Sanitizing your whole cabin and then heading out to all the public spaces with thousands of people is a waste of time.
Lmao, it's nvr any cleaner, then proceeds to clean it again? Huh? What?
He means "tidy." Clear of your things being in the picture..
Once you move into the room, all of your personal items are everywhere.. No matter how organized- they're there.. And when you take it all out, the room attendant is cleaning for the next occupant(s).
I go on real holidays... Lol
Wine Glasses & Rock Glasses for My '''' JIM BEAM '''.
Its sad that these cleanliness standards are not met unless requested.... we will not cruise on ncl again..
Drop my stuff and go get a drink. Lysol the whole cabin??????
While at it ask for a job as an inspector
Turn the tv use toilet take nap
How do you check for bedbugs?
Take a flashlight and check all around the seams and under the bed and behind it. Strip the sheets and mattress covers off to check. There will be signs of dead bugs or casings or spots of blood in the seams. I do this at hotels, Airbnbs too.
@@GlobalAdventurerthx
#never) relax apparently
Wiping the walls down??
First thing I do is… make whoopi !!!
I honestly don’t think the bed sheets had been changed when I first arrived to my cabin on my last cruise. It just didn’t look fresh. Then the next day, the Attendant seemed very insistent to get in and change things, and it looked completely different.
#10 etc... ) wash hands.... Repeat
Have u ever gone on cunard
I haven’t, I really want to do the Transatlantic on the QM2 but it maybe a little too formal for me.
Are you planning a cruise on Cunard?
The new ship the Queen Anne looks amazing.
Carnival Cruise cabin WALL are
PLASTIC-ish NO MAGNETS THERE
🤣🤣🤣
I have a maid at home and don’t clean there I’m certainly not going on vacation to clean the cabin! 😂
Takes 5 mins and keeps us healthy
If you only knew what gerns were there..
I check for bed bugs but I’m not sanitizing my cabin. Your immune system should be subjected to various things. A bored immune system will find something to do with
Oh they gonna have you extra room. A not
How prevalent are bed bugs on cruise ships?
Just as much as hotels if not less. I was on #carnivalconquest and their mattresses are in this big bag type thing
@Davidpleasure that's good to know. I always check hotel suites. I've heard it is hard to get rid of them so I don't want to start
Sorry, never was on a cruise and probably wont go.
Id probably look at cabin and clean what i think needs it. Look for hidden cameras.
Do mustar training asap.
Ever since that report of that cabin attendant putting a camera in the bathroom I triple check the cameras.
Thanks for watching, sorry to hear you will never go.
@@JaysonJudson right after college my friend bought a boat. We went out decently far and the engine died. I don't think he had a radio then. I got slightly panicked. We had no food.
Eventually the motor got started. Maybe another boat saw us and helped us.
I used to love paddle boats as a kid. Shortly after boat, I was in the central park nyc lake and I had to get out fast.
I've only been on the yachts and boats that stay close to shore. I can't be too far from the shore.
Or just get a suite on a ship that has a butler, seriously
"will never be cleaner" then follows up saying to clean it.....I'm sorry, huh?
It will never be more PRESENTABLE for PHOTOS/VIDEOS... 📸
$1000 per person for a 7 night cruise, that’s $142 a day. That $142 includes lodging, access to all the amenities onboard, travel to multiple tropical destinations, AND food from the MANY includes dining options (which includes the main dining room!).
You have valid complains about cleanliness but at a certain point, you just sound a little entitled in my opinion. Anyone is welcome to pay for speciality dining options.
Agree 💯. I can see wiping down the remote and door handles wth a Clorox wipe but doing the walls is so EXTRA to me.
I find all that cleaning is extremely overdoing.
Checking for animal, okay.
But cleaning the walls??????
Come on... Do you Lysol your house like that, too?
I have been to more than 65 cruises and keep things normal.. wash hands after returning to the cabin, wash hands after bathroom visits, wash hands or use desinfactant before and after going to dinner (no matter if Buffet or MDR), do not walk barefeet anywhere on the ship.
I have never had any issue with Noro, Athletes foot or whatever.
Be realistic, people!
Go have a life.
Wiping down all the walls....????? Nope, that's not my job; it's the ships job, not mine.Going to the buffet now.
I don't do sh*t. (Well, i might take one...) Sanitize? You guys really want to live forever?😆
Who cares .
#6 spend the money on a vacation where you're not stuck with 2000 people in a germ filled ship.
So you go to a germ filled resort full of drunk and puking Spring Breakers instead?
@@fluffytail6355 spring breakers? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I'm no spring chicken. Graduated in '87. I can't see spending thousands of dollars to be stuck on a ship with thousands of people. Have ya seen how many cruise ships are and have been having bacterial outbreaks? Naw ....I'll stick to vacationing where there's less humans. But that's me.
The first thing you should do is not go on a cruise lol
YES Y'ALL, ALL OF THE ABOVE!👍😍👍THINK OF👉❤YOUR~CABIN!❤LIKE YOUR 'HOME!' AWAY FROM🏡HOME! SANITIZE🚽IT TO 'THE BEST!' OF YOUR OWN ABILITY! 🌬"HAPPY SAILING!".....🛳🍾🥂🍸✌️Peace
