    Thank you for addressing the Aux system replacement at the start of this video. I have been working with some older tutorials and that has been a sticking point for me.

    Love the bounce physics, I do agree with Jonas. It is noticeably slower than the last version

    I'm super disappointed right now, I upgraded Particular and was super excited to start learning all the new features. The first project I opened I was expecting the Migrate Settings to work (which has functioned fine in the past, and this time it said was "successful") and now everything I created is completely messed up. It's frustrating that I can't even see what settings I had BEFORE I hit the migrate button, because you don't have access to it. That would be a very helpful feature for the record, for instances like this where things do not migrate even remotely close to the original.

      Same here, migrating systems caused the whole setup to disappear my guess is that it's because the AUX system seems to have been removed. I don't understand why it was done away with entirely, is there any chance that a patch could give us the option to use legacy settings because right now it's looking like I would have to abandon these projects and rebuild them from scratch?

    Hope to GOD this is more stable than the last version! Can't tell you how many times it crashed choosing a Particular preset.

    The aux system doesn't work nicely when I make an emitter follow a motion path, like a tornado, but the 'streak' of my particles does not follow the motion path, it goes outwards...The old aux system was much more straightforward! What am I doing wrong?

      It's hard to tell without looking more closely at your setup. You may need to adjust the velocity from emitter motion option.

      This video is it. If you watch the full video, it shows you how to make a (much more powerful) aux system. Basically, the aux system is gone because it's been replaced by the ability for emitters to emit from other particles. So now, instead of the limited aux system, you have the full power of a Particular system AND you can emit from emitters that have emitted from emitters several levels deep if you wanted to.

    Would have been nice to have a designer window of particular systems similar like Superluminal Stardust has, gives you way more flexibility.

    1 question, where is the "position Subframe" option, i cant find any feature to do that, and now my moving path is just ugly linear, not curve path

      No more aux system since u have more option with new particle system which allow u to do the same, but yep, it cant be migrate from old version anymore

    @redgiant migration threw off all my previous work settings , also the layer emitter no longer aligned with the center point of the track layer?? What is going on

    I am using a moiton path to guide the particles to a vector shape. Is there a way to have them stick to a vector layer?? Any help would be appreciated!

      You could use the flocking system for this. Make invisible prey particles spawn in your vector shape. Make predator particles spawn wherever you need them. Then, choose the option where both are killed on contact. Then, make a new system with no velocity that spawns from the predator particle system, but only spawns on parent "end of life".

    I've noticed that my fluid sims are taking a lot longer to render since upgrading. Are you guys planning on improving the performance of fluids in the future?

      We are always planning to improve performance! The fluid part of the code didn’t really change between the last version and this new one. Could you go into a bit more detail on what your slowdown is like? Also, do you have a particularly high particle count?

      @@MaxonRedgiant I think the reason my fluid projects seemed slower was because I had the (Physics Time Factor) set to 6 which used to divide the life time of the particles by 6, but this is no longer the case. So my particles were being processed for 6 times longer which also meant 6 times the number of Aux particles. So until I figured this out and adjusted it to compensate, it initially seemed like the performance was several times worse. lol

      @@CGVisualsVFX In the previous version of Particular we had a separate Fluid Physics Time Factor from the time factor that was on each system. We now have just the one time factor to rule them all. The migration doesn't really know how to deal with that (because it is hard to know for sure how you, the user, might want to combine them into the new single value).

    The flocking doesn't seem to work with the latest version of Particular in the same way. Would love to see some updated tutorials that work. Very frustrating.

      What seems to be the issue? We've added a little bit of features to flocking since its initial release, but nothing that should change its behavior drastically.

      @@MaxonRedgiant Hey RedGiant I know this is Unrelated but I've recently updated Particular to version 5.0 but it doesn't show up in my Products with the serial number to confirm the license. whenever I go to the RedGiantApplicationMannager it says I have a partial license of Particular but still has a big X over the effect, I don't know what to do and it would be really nice if you could help me.

    How can i understand air resistance property? I mean, if i use gravity then increase Air resistance this cause slow falling particles, but when i use wind the particles moving faster if i increase air resistance. so it has different happening. By the way, can you explain air resistance and air density? Thanks your team!

      The air density behaves like it does in real life. If the air is denser, wind will have more of an effect on particles and the air will slow down the movement of gravity because it's thicker.     when i try to tie global physics time factor to audio key frame assistant particular stops displaying. also i just learned the old way for motion paths and now i have no clue how to do so. honestly i think unreal engine 5.1 would be less of a hassle and free.

      Sorry you're having issues. To your first point, depending on what values you're mapping, it's possible that you're trying to go too far back in time so no particles are being emitted.

    Funny how after altering the particle type to sprite the performance crashed to 3 fps and never recovered in the rest of the demo.

    Yes super now we need a computer who cost 20k when before we can work with a regular one THANKS seriously ....
    The new AUX system is total trash ! I do not give a shit of your 16 aux what i care is doing my job FAST and do not crash 20000 times per hours.
    reinstalling older version who work like a charm and do not destroy everything i do each 10 minutes!

    every time we learn some nice features you went and changed it or removed it. your updates move things around to different locations. this interrupts workflow and delay productions. very irritating.
