To get 5-10 horsepower from a non-turbo car tou need to load a custom map onto the ecu written by a tuner. You can get 100+ horsepower from a custom map on some turbo bmws. These products aren't capable of doing that they lack the computing capacity. It's impossible to have a product do this "universally" on every car

It's not possible for a little light box to reprogram an ecu on the fly. Nothing can universally program ecus. Obd2 is currently using 5 different type of programming languages. There are ecus that ate impossible to change maps without physically changing a chip on the ecu. And the horsepower claims by thorton aren't possible with no mods even on moat turbo motors, let alone any normally aspirated motor. It's also not possible a little Chinese box can outdo billions in R&D to get more power AND better mpg. If that was possible the oem would have done it. Ecu remapping can get more power, but always at the cost of mpg. Don't buy this stuff. There's cheap diagnostics that link to your phone, cheaper than what thorton charges for just a fake performance chip
These things don’t add power. You have to flash your car and tune it. This adds the same amount of “power” no matter what car so that should tell you something
Do you have a second video showing how the Thorton chip performed?
Did you feel any difference after putting in this chip? I put it in mine and it doesn't seem to have changed anything in mine
It’s a scam
Question do u have to unplug it whenever u leave your car ?
no
Chiptuning does not in most of the cases and when do works there is , maybe 5-10 hp more .

Yeah you right these chips don't work , you have to tune your car the real way.
