Till is an interesting personality. He's a member of a loud band and hates noise. Music and stage are extremely technical but he loves nature. He is in the foreground on the stage,
but lets the guitarists give interviews because he doesn't like to be the center of attention. Musically he started out as a drummer in a punk band, but is known as a singer. His lyrics are romantic, with beautiful words and at the same time harsh and brutal. He has 2 daughters and a grandson and his eighty year old mother is a fan of Rammstein and sat among the technicians in Madison Square Garden.

The most defining characteristic about him is that he's from the East "and will never be anything else" as he said. If you understand people who grew up in the GDR and what that was like then you will have a much better insight into him.
I grew up in the GDR too, which means I understand some things better. A title can only understand people who have lived under dictatorships, the song "Radio" from the last album.

1) When he's not performing, Till likes to go fishing and/or hunting.
2) "Flake" (on the threadmill 😁) is scared of flying, so he always carries some parts of a crashed plane in his luggage, because, he says, "a plane can never crash twice".

There is no interviews with Till in English. The documentary "Rammstein in Amerika" is the closest. And it it really good, like really good.
Otherwise you will have to learn German, which you should. Rammstein's texts are all deeply layered.

Every band member comes up with those ideas. The band says they function on a democratic basis. If 3 other members like your idea the band will discuss how they can do it and not if they should. F.e. Flake(the keyboarder) came up with lots of the stuff that happens to him himself.
Besides the band having done lots of relationship therapies this is one of the main reasons the band members state when they were asked how they managed to keep all the 6 band members together from the foundation of the band 26 years ago until now. Every band member gets his voice and can contribute his ideas to the albums and shows. They will also give each member enough time for side projects.

Paul Landers and Flake have been the petry dish of Rammstein, Richard produces great riffs all the time, Oliver is in my opinion a really really great bass player and Christoph fits perfectly with his drumstyle. You HAVE to see them live!!!! I saw them in Atlanta and it was the most insane show I've ever seen. They sold out the arena. They pyro was drying out my contacts from 50' away.
Till is a professionally trained pyro technician. So guess, why they have the most awesome fireworks. I know a guy in Berlin who builds them special electronic devices for their needs on stage. Sometimes they called him while touring to build and bring over stuff to where they actually are. If something is not readily available, they let it be built, no matter what it is. They plan their stage appearance up to the tiniest details when it comes to technical stuff. If they come up with a new idea, the only question seems to be: "Is it even possible?" and if the answer is "yes", they let it happen.
This was from an interview with Till on how and why the pyrotechnics started.
Till: I did not feel comfortable on stage. I was wearing sunglasses because I could not bear the looks. I had stage fright and thought, what am I doing here anyway? Before I was a drummer, because I had always something to do. Now I stood there in front, and all stared at me. That was unpleasant for me, and I wanted to compensate somehow. Thus came the fire into the game. It started with two fountains, which were given to me by a friend. Later, we also had gasoline poured into the hall, which we lit with the fountain, so the whole floor was on fire. This has evolved over the years.
About the effects, they have evolved a lot, in the beginning it was as you said, they got together and pitched ideas about what would be awesome and then made it (the bow effect has more than 20 years), then, after a little accident they decided to get professional about their effects and Till studied pyrotechnics, now the band has a team behind that helps bring the ideas into reality, Till is the chief pyrotechnician but this team is in charge of the execution of the diferent effects and the safety aspects of them.
If you see videos of Til off stage you can tell he's a very kind hearted, shy, but funny person. He shows great concern and affection for his bandmates and is a lot softer of a person than he looks outwardly
A reaction to the 1997 VIVA Jam interview would be awesome. It's 47mins, but every Rammstein fan, I'm sure, eventually stumbles upon this interview/documentary.
I recently came across you guys and your reactions and I gotta say Rammstein is my all time favorite band. This band has this way of capturing their fans like no other, but unfortunately my friends and family don't share my interests in them. I'm always trying to show people all kinds of different videos from them including interviews. I am one of those people who can completely get lost for hours in a day or night doing my research on them and their music...and then I started watching reactions. I already commented on 'Mein Teil' that after Rammstein became really famous in Germany, Til remarked in an internal band meeting that they had to offer the audience something more in addition to the music. The answer of your question is that all the ideas were developed by them !

You won't find many interviews with Till. I know, I searched myself. He doesn't really speak English. I found a few old interviews in German but that's it. He has posted a few TikTok videos recently where he is piloting a small plane and another one where he's walking in the streets somewhere in France. He seems to be a shy guy.
You must really read the lyrics during the song. Not only is their music impressive, but the lyrics make it even better!
The ideas come from the band itself
I have seen videos of some of their funny moments on stage. A couple of times one of them showed Till squeaking a squeaky toy during some songs. I think they're all pretty mellow, from documentaries and whatnot that I have seen.

Hello, there is a documentary out on amazon prime (germany) "Rammstein in Amerika. It may also be available on amazon in america.
It's still mentioned that Pyrotechnic is an additional statement for their songs.and all the members are involved. But of course beside them there is an Professional Team for the Special effects I am so into their music ... but there are songs I can't listen to ...in combination with lyrics and video. Too much for my Heart and soul ...🤪😁...they all are Masters in what they are doing. Till got his additional project Lindemann ...very very hard to watch and listen ...but the music is amazing. You have to find out what you think about the personalties of them or you don't and just enjoy the crazy master ride of music. 🧐🤘😃💕🌈

For Rammstein Live in Paris they played with their guitars on fire then threw them off stage. After a count from Christoph everyone came back in. I think I prefer that performance to this one, but they always preform their stuff amazingly regardless of what toys and gimmicks they use.
