I blind taste test three classic Daiquiris. Each made with a cheap, value, or expensive white rum.
Classic Daiquiri
2 parts white rum
1 part lime juice
½ part sugar syrup
Rums compared are:
Trader Vic's Silver Rum
Bacardi Superior White Rum
Plantation 3 Stars Artisanal Rum

Another insightful video. At first glance /I would have thought Bacardi made the better daiquiri because it's so clean, but I have never tried Plantation 3-star.

It has become my favorite for any "refreshing" style rum drink. Light enough to not take over but still has flavor. Makes a drink taste more tropical to me.
