Hi my name is Lilly and I am an American expat living on the island of Koh Samui in the gulf of Thailand for the last 9 years. My husband is Thai and his name is Wat. What Leon experienced used to happen to me when I was a little girl going through the twisty roads of the mountainous area in Puerto Rico.
My parents would put me in the front seat with them to decrease the effect of all the car side to side movements (you feel it less in the front seat). You may try it with little Leon.

Lilly, does Luke ever speak Thai? I'm sure he understands it from living there. I think it's great that he's bilingual, it'll serve him well as he gets older. I just wonder if he ever speaks it with his little friends or when you go to villages where English isn't spoken.
I think I am correct in remembering that Luke spoke Thai almost exclusively before his trip to the US, where he spent time with his US family, Grandma GiGi, Grandpa, aunts, cousins, etc. It seems as though, at least on their videos, he speaks mostly English now. Probably is not the case in his daily life as not everyone else there speaks English.
