Youngblood - you talked about so many ships so quickly, it would have been helpful if you'd used a ship thumbnail in the corner of screen to help remember which one you were talking about, because even the slightest offscreen distraction caused loss of continuity.
I almost feel like the new Ironclad is almost purpose built for Pyro and wonder if they are hoping to sneak release it either with 4.0 or shortly after.
Always enjoy your videos. Only issue I really have with your Carrack recommendation would be that you essentially cannot access the cargo pods underneath and that really makes it useless because you can't bring anything with you and 324 it's pretty imperative to bring a buddy box full of provisions box through the doors of the ship
"Might"..."potentially"...."probably"...I'm 5 minutes in..."might"..."potentially"..."if"..."chance"5:24..."may be needed and profitable"..."likely" (7:57)... It keeps going.
We still don't have Pyro, and CIG has consistently made Pyro more player friendly. Odds are it will wind up being a slightly more harsh Stanton without security.
Welcome back - I'm gong to post a divisive one here for you , but I've got reasons why I think a particular ship you missed will be good for Pyro, particularly since most of what we're talking about is speculation: The Constellation Phoenix. Reason one for this is that it is, in essence, the same ship as the Andromeda with regards to energy weapons, range, performance, and the like. You lose the larger missiles, but when there's a high question as to whether you'll be able to replace them easily in Pyro, I personally consider that an acceptable loss for the things it brings. First off, the Archimedes is all-around better than the Merlin. For most tasks they're largely identical, but the Archimedes' top speed is significantly higher, and its capacity for energy weapons rather than reload-needing slugthrowers means it can be more useful long-term, since it has at least one less resource it's going to expend. Second, the Phoenix -comes stock- with a Lynx, while the Andromeda doesn't carry an Ursa by default. It's not a terribly pricy advantage, and I think in both the Andromeda AND the Phoenix, you're likely to switch it out for a Medivac if you carry it anyway, but it's less resources and such you have to use to prepare for your expedition. Third, IF beds are still needed for logout, or become part of a health and fatigue system, the Phoenix has -seven- beds to log out in, rather than just 4. You can put a butt in every crew position the Phoenix has, plus a snub pilot and a spare, and nobody has to hot-bunk. That's also enough beds to drop off a squad of four to attempt a planetside objective, while still having enough people to fully crew the ship itself on overwatch. Fourth, and possibly most important: As cheesy as it is and seems, the Constellation Phoenix is just a more interesting ship to be on, as a passenger or crewmate, during transit and all those times when you're -not- in a turret or the pilot's seat. Its windows afford some of the most accessible panoramic views possible, it's got plenty of decor and stuff to look at, at least, not to mention places to put things that aren't necessarily cargo. It's got places to sit and plan, and the space to draw or act out that planning if necessary.
couple of thoughts: - Retaliator now has cargo modules and size 3 turrets; - its sounding like we won't need beds to log out anymore, CIG seem to be changing how this will work. But life support will likely limit how many players can live on a ship.
I believe the Polaris is due to be released for the anniversary event, so it should be available for Pyro. I would say the Spirit deserved an honorable mention at least. Its fun to fly and seems to do about the same as the Cutlass in combat. It also has a fairly well placed tractor beam, so it would do the best at keeping a crewman in the ship while loading cargo/salvage in a more radioactive environment. The upcoming Zeus, which we should also get for the anniversary, is another that looks to be as good if not better than the Cutlass. I do realize its not flying yet, so we will have to wait to see if its on paper stats match up to how the ship flies.
I know a lot of people are excited for the PvP side of Pyro, but the kore O think about it the more I am looking forward to the team work that will be needed. It feels like it will be a much more multi-crew and multi-ship heavy place. To get way out there it feels like you're going to need a logistcs team, possibly even getting small fleets together to go on excursions into Pyro.
Carrack Armoured Canopy when? You hinted at it in the intro and it makes perfect sense that the Carrack should be armoured against solar bursts and the like.
I'm so excited for the upcoming "features" I get to make post to the issue council with. Small steps to heaven. Are you from St.Louis too Youngblood? I've watched your content for like 10 years now, and want to thank you for the many good memories. If you see Spaghettified_Ryan in the verse, shoot me a party invite.
Maybe cutter series would be nice? Tanky, huge fuel thanks, nice interrior, scout have size 2 radar, Rambler even bigger fuel thanks and base cutter can transport Drake Mule.
*sigh* If multicrew ships had more staying power than a plastic bag, this all sounds great. According to their roles and intended function it all sounds great, but gameplay needs to match
you're thinking backwere for mining.. bigger is better. Orion (as of 8/30) only has 1 gun but can farm 100x more ore and refine it at the saem time. and will be VERY big for pyor in getting all the rare ore out.. but you will need a few escort.
I think you have a misunderstanding of the reality of VTOL thrusters. Sure, we can romanticize the idea into “ships that have them can go up better and are also more able to withstand weather”, but this isn’t how they actually work in game. For most ships that have them, they’re effectively a cost saving measure; Ships that have them (like the Cutlass series) usually have abnormally low vertical thrust authority when their VTOL thrusters are pointed rearwards, and abnormally low fore/aft authority when they’re pointed downwards. The VTOL thrusters simply allow the ship to use fewer total thrusters for the same amount of thrust authority, when you add the capabilities of both modes. They *do not* make the ships that have them actually perform better than ships that don’t. Have you ever tried to strafe “up” in a Cutlass with its engines pointed rearwards? Or strafe forward when in VTOL mode? It’s terrible. And though I highly doubt that weather will be a large factor in Pyro - at least in the near term - I wouldn’t expect the Cutlass to perform very well in weather, at least with its current flight model.
it's always best to act like concepts don't even exist until they actually release because for one, nobody even knows when that is and not even CIG knows what the final ship will exactly end up being like until it is actually done.
You're wrong. The most important ship for pyro is its shipping date cause guess what, got delayed to 2025. 10 years ago, it got delayed to 2016. We have gone nowhere.

I cant wait until the Zeus comes out the ES variant is going to be my pyro daily driver as it has good weapons, shields and lots of fuel
Glad you are back Youngblood!

Pretty sure that CIG made Pyro smaller... If I remember it's closer to 9-10 AU.. still much bigger than Stanton
its about 6 now
How big is 6 competed to 9
Definitely a lot bigger
Woow, can't believe you missed my fav. ODYSSEY in your run down. Prob one of the best ships to last a long time exploring pyro self sufficiently.
In the cargo discussion: I think the Ironclad is a fantastic option. I am looking forward to its arrival some year in the future.

Hoping we get a fix for this issue soon. Even if it's not ideal. The kludge is to bring a box of supplies in a ship docked in the hangar.
Obviously the recommendation assumes the ship gets an update to make the cargo useable.

Oh... I thought Pyro was out with the title of this video. It has been a year since I played and Pyro was 'soon' back then.
Orange Stanton
We wont know till it happens

Part of me is expecting the Vulcan to be flyable with the arrival of Pyro.
MSR with it's endless fuel supply. Built for speed. Built for distance.
always a good day when new STL drops
The Kraken, with a full complement of ships
😂😂😂

Two words: cutter rambler. Scout too. Oh and the syulen
“…it all means we have less access to repair, refuelling and re-arming”
“Well hello there” the Vulcan wants to enter chat.

"Whenever that may come into fruition", maybe in the next life.
yess hes back with a banger. thank you o7

Their real issue comes from the fact that they can't really fight back very well. Just about anything is a major threat to a Cutter.
@@zerentheunskilled I have no bigger problems to destroy NPC cutlass black in cutter, but PVP stuff is definetly no go.
*sigh*

How big is 6 compete to 9 or 10 in system length or travel distance same as station or still big
bro im just so ready for base building
Polaris for Pyro with a Scorpius in the hangar.
The Nomad is a gas guzzler. They're like a big F-350, driving from fuel station to fuel station.
You forgot to mention the Zues's

Orion is like 10 years away
Most important, will be what marketing needs to sell to keep the game afloat

Starfarer for cargo you mean it hasn't been refueling in over 2 years
Hull-C
Controversial opinion here. We see way too few stl Youngblood vids.....❤
carrack cant be used as cargo cant be physically unloaded aor uploaded
❤️❤️❤️❤️👀👀👀👀👀❤️❤️❤️❤️
No way no one mention the rsi arrastra for mining
or the ironclad^^
it currently does not exist nor will during pyro release, so would be speculation on unusable ship...
it's always best to act like concepts don't even exist until they actually release because for one, nobody even knows when that is and not even CIG knows what the final ship will exactly end up being like until it is actually done.
What a bluff was this game
Well, your girl said the same thing about your dick but at least "you have character" lol
dead game. pyro hahahah lol people still dreaming about there will be such a thing just like sq42 ahahahahahaha the scam hahahaha
You.. you had to edit that? Lmao

@@OO7BOND11 You have your dates wrong friend, and I voted too. Nice gatekeep attempt, but get lost.
