  • We visited my childhood mall, the Logan Valley Mall in Altoona, Pennsylvania. Whether it was back to school shopping with my parents in the 90's, or hanging out on a Friday night as a teenager in the early 2000's, this place was the place to be. Now, we take a look as it begins to show the signs of slowly becoming a dead mall. While there are still shoppers and many open stores, there are plenty of vacant storefronts to match. Will this mall survive the 2020's decade or go the way of so many others? For now, enjoy our holiday tinged walk through of the Logan Valley Mall!

I used to be in fye every paycheck loading my cd collection and DVD addiction. It's so sad seeing it so empty, almost a skeleton of what it was. It went from being a bustle to not much in only a few years.....

My memories are mostly pre-fire mall. I stopped by last summer and it was so sad. I parked where we always did growing up, at what used to be the Hess's entrance at the very back of the mall. There was no shortage of parking spaces, then walking through Macy's, wondering how it was going to survive because it was so empty.

Ain't no chance that it will recover especially since the Macy's company is closing a lot of it's stores to focus on the big one in NY and JCpenny has filed for bankruptcy and are closing most of their stores that aren't keeping up with sales luckily ours here isn't one , that mall is doomed and it will eventually go into bankruptcy like the Galleria mall did over here in Johnstown but all thanks to a very wealthy guy from Florida who bought the mall during the sheriff's sell he is putting all his life's hard work to get our mall back again because it was very doomed and was in nearly abandoned compared to that mall in Altoona.

Definitely could be saved if not controlled by Scamdar

This mall will be bought up by UPMC or PSU.
