It almost like they are former teammates and his signing it is the least surprising thing that ever happened. Next you'll tell me that they did a puff piece with each teams' cable broadcast.

I love this story! Yadi was one of the greatest catchers of all time and he played for a team that absolutely despised growing up, but I thought he was such a stand up and stand out player. His greatness couldn't be denied.
@@man4YAWEH454 Astros were in the NL Central back then. And they had Pujols, Rolen, Molina, Edmonds and The Pest (cant remember his name) at Shortstop. Then you had a very good pitching rotation lead by Chris Carpenter.
Yadi was so good defensively that the Cardinals had fewer attempted steals against them during his career than any other team in that time frame by a WIDE margin.
Lol. Great stuff to watch.👍🏻👍🏻. Slow pitcher got him that steal. Yadier still made it close! Anyone seeing his throw? Ridiculous. Lol. Still has it! 👍🏻👍🏻
For anyone wondering on the video at the end where Wong is walking with the base after the game he says “Let’s gooo!” points at the bag and says “Yadi this is mine.”
How is this dude still playing and still catching regularly? He's almost 40, right? He caught a day game after night game at least once this year that I saw.
After watching Wong getting sooo many people out from Yadi’s throws, this was perfection. If Wong had been guarding 2nd, Wong the runner would have been out.
Hahaha As a Red Sox fan that pickoff play is the only thing I know about this guy, I’m sure he’s really good but I’ll always remember him as the guy that got picked off in the World Series to end the game

Wong made the last out in a PLAYOFF game by being picked off at 1st base by Red Sox pitcher Koji Uehara. Made Wong look like a dope. No "awe inspiring talent" that day!
Let me question something do you know where you will go after you die? If not let me say you can have a choice to either go to hell or heaven see 2000 years ago there was this man named Jesus who died on the cross for our sins and rose alive 3 days later all because he truly loved us he died for us so I question you now do you truly believe in Jesus or do you live for the world turn to Jesus Christ trust in him Christ has way much more to give than the world he loves us turn to Christ
Im not a Cards fan, and I dont dislike Yadier, but I dont get the big deal. Hes not that great! Please stop calling everyone a legend. Hes good, but a legend, Jesus christ no.
Best part is Yadi actually signed the “stolen” base for Wong after the game too

U know ur a good catcher when if someone steals a bae off of u the runner gets to keep the base
I swear I would ask too. That's a big deal against yadi
After the game, the umpires had no say if he took the base. It was up to the Head Groundskeeper.
Cool to know!
That's fucking awesome dude. Yadi is a legend, and him signing the base is like HoF status.
When you grab a bag off the greatest defensive Catcher in baseball history, it's not a bad idea!
This is why Yadi is my fav player lol
He’s awesome for sure!
Yadi makes anything normal a special occasion. Who else would make a normal stolen base look so eventful.
Lol, but it's not the umpires choice if he takes the base lol
Grounds crew rn: 🥲
lol, I like to say lol too. Lol.
Literally, Wong actually “stole” 2nd base after the game & the
police👮♀️👮🏻♂️ are suspicious 🤨 after this bandit! Lol 😆.
Duh everyone knows it’s the base coach that decides. Base might become very valuable. Sure hope someone doesn’t steal it.

This is like hitting a walk off on Mariano Rivera

Yadi is living legend
People wonder why these guys still try stealing off Molina. This should answer that question.
We all will miss yadi ⚾️
That’s awesome. Even with that pitch location it was close.
He literally stole the base.😂😂
Huge show of respect for Yadi, he's a legend for sure 👍🏼
Absolutely love this… pure joy
Anybody who steals a base off yadi should get to take it home!

Way cool ! That is the way to play ball
That's good fun
I had assumed the Umps would just eject him from the game for even talking to them.
That’s great
Can’t blame him
Wong got picked off at first during the Red Sox/Cards 2013 World Series. His mishap gave the Red Sox the win.

Good for him
Let him take it mid game! Don't want any more spike marks in it.
Ha! Cool.
My favorite catcher has always been Carlton Fisk (WhiteSox fan here). Without a doubt, Yadi is 2nd for me.
The thing is man people don't realize how hard it was to steal on yadi man I seen guys with burners get thrown out by yadi and he never left his knees
Yadi has so many interactions like this. Its AWESOME. makes baseball almost watchable the full 9.
Lol
I believe the poor pitch and catch affected his throw
The literal version of a stolen bade
Yadier looks more and more like a criminal every season.

Is it still a stolen base if you're allowed to take it?
