It was a sad day in baseball when Yadi retired. Been watching him since I was 12yrs old. I shedded a few tears when they lost the last wild card game.

One of the last few MLB players from my childhood and who is older than me!!! 😭😭

It was sad. Albert and Yadi were trying so hard to keep it alive and other key players like Goldy and Nolan just did not show up at all.

From the bottom of my heart thank you Yadi. I grew up a Cardinals fan about 45 minutes East of St Louis and I’ve watched this guy my whole life. I literally became a catcher because of this guy. This man is my idol and inspires me to be the best I can be so once again thank you Yadi.

As someone born in Iowa, i would say you cant tell stories about the Midwest without mentioning Yadier Molina. The way he cares about everyone on the team is awesome, but the way he cares for children is absolutely heavenly. This man deserves an award for being a selfless man. This man has spirit. Thank Jesus.

Thanks for 19 wonderful years with the St. Louis Cardinals. You are the best catcher ever.

Yadier, you were an absolute legend!!! Congrats on an amazing career!!! I would've never known about the catcher position, let alone the game of baseball had I not watched you for several years!!!! Hope the next chapter treats you well and best of luck in retirement!!!

The Cards winning the 2011 World Series very nearly got me shot. Well, my reaction to them winning the series did anyways. I was on a newly built OP in Kunar Province, Afghanistan when our company tactical operations center relayed the news of the Card’s win over the radio. I immediately shot up out of my position to run to another fighting position to rub the win in the face of my buddy that’s a Ranger’s fan. None of us knew that a Taliban sniper was set up a few hundred meters away on a different ridge line. Bastard took six shots at me before I made it back to my position. Then we ID’ed the position of the sniper and I dropped a Javelin on him. Afterwards I chose to harass my buddy over the platoon internal frequency instead of in person. 😂😂😂 Cardinals Nation!!!!

Even as someone who never watched him play, I always had a lot of respect for Yadi. Great players, no matter the team, always deserve a nod

Yadi is my second favorite catcher of all time. Nobody can question this dudes legacy. But don’t anybody dare calling anybody but Pudge Rodriguez the number one catcher of all time. He will forever be the man.

I'm a cardinals fan since 1982 love Yadi Molina but Ivan Rodríguez is the best catcher of all time. Both Puerto Ricans like me! Let's go Boricuas!
