I get the feeling from the trailer that Arthur Fleck is trying to move away from his Joker persona and get rehabilitated but Harley is pushing him to embrace the madness.
i feel like many scenes will be switching between a dream like musical and the cold reality, would definitely give a interesting insight to Arthur's mental state and how he wants to see the world
I love that it is a musical. In the first movie, whenever he felt confident in himself, Arther would dance and sing. The idea of creating actual songs to express and show his thought process is so brilliant. The movie is like a dark, violent version of 'la la land'. It is magical and beautiful at the same time as being twisted and disturbing. I am so excited for this movie!!! 🃏🃏🃏
He didn’t even sing all of them, anytime a song began to play was always a scene where Arthur was enjoying himself, and giving into the Joker persona. The bathroom scene, the stairs, the police escort, the riots and the ending. So now that he has embraced the Joker persona, it makes sense for the sequel to be a full musical. All the haters can fight me.

I think the different look of Arkham could just be that it's a big Hospital, and when transporting inmates to be interviewed by a psychologist or what have you, they get transported to a whole different wing in the Hospital. And the cells for inmates like Arthur (who could be being dragged into the hole) are kept in a separate part of the Hospital, away from visitors or certain staff members. Maybe even in the basement. And that very first shot of Arthur we see in the trailer, he almost looks excited. Like this could be his court appearance date, where him and Harley have already made plans to break him out? Maybe that's the day the explosions at the courthouse happen. But honestly....who fucking knows, lol. All I know is I think the movie looks fascinating and we haven't even seen the tip of the iceberg. This was basically just a teaser, right? like, not a full blown trailer? It's hard to tell these days. I just love that we saw a lot of footage, but have no real idea as to the actual plot of the movie. Incredible breakdown as always! Soooooo hyped for this shit!!!
Sophie 😢, Harley is going to be more aggressive and violent than Arthur; that scares me a lot cause her victims usually are closest people to the related suspect

What if we get introduced with Harley as a patient and we think throughout the movie that she is a patient but then the movie ends with him sitting in front of Harley as his psychiatrist showing that Arthur imagined her as a patient throughout the movie and that will cause him to start manipulate her. What do you think? Maybe it’s a reach.
I actually had this theory that this story is about both Arthur and Harleen, and they don't ever actually meet until the very end of the movie where she does the lipstick on the glass... the Folie a Deux is that both are fantasizing about each other to cope with their miserable lives, but they never meet for long... they pass by each other when Arthur sees Harleen in that choir thing but that's about it until the end
Brilliant trailer. The teaser with Arthur laughing/crying gave me the chills. I bet thats the ending. Harley dies, fleck is back at Arkham crying/laughing because hes all alone again.
Hmm interesting theory or if i good remember there was a scene from bts video's when Joker and Harley dancing on the stairs and then Police shows up and arresting Arthur not paying attetion at Harley Quinn so my theory is that Harley Quinn is only Joker imagination and then at the end of the movie he finally realised that and get's arrested to the Arkham Asylum again and that's why he's laughing and crying in that scene
I think it’ll end with Harley leaving him and he’s hit with the crushing realisation: whether it’s in his head or in the real world… a relationship with him can never be.

One thing I was wondering is how many scenes are the "shared madness" scenes, and if all shared madness will be obviously fantasy, or if some will seem like reality but will actually be only in their heads. For example, when Harleen says "Let's get outta here", I wonder if that leads into a scene where they don't leave the room, but they enter into a shared madness for the first time, and the music from the movie because the background soundtrack to their fantasy together. Maybe Harley whispers something like "imagine if we were somewhere else instead" and narrates a bit about where she would want to be, and maybe that is just running around Arkham freely and sneaking into places together, and then we see that come to life on screen. Then later the fantasy elements escalate, and become more obviously fantastical. How much will be up for debate as to what is real and what is not? An intriguing question.

@@BobaTalks hi it seems Arthur tries to escape while at the court House but his captured again by Police there is a BTS where his on the stairs while Harley is singing and police arrive while he is in the same clothes and in the trailer they show us guards pulling him on the floor still in the same clothes ( it seems they plan a second escape when they put the prison on fire )
This is very interesting. A lot of psychology going on with these characters. It seems like Harley pursues Arthur and he isn’t sure what to do with it? How he inspires people is def shown here
When he’s with Harley and happy, he’s dressed up, Gotham is bright vibrant clean and colorful. When he’s alone Gotham is dark gritty and he’s wearing dingy plain clothes. It’s narrated through his delusions again.

And that's why when we hear her talk when she says "I'm nobody, I've haven't done anything with my life like you have" it is her talking to him the first time she goes see him when he is locked up and she is introducing herself and then she follows to say I wanna see the real you, and that's her psychologist background that makes her talk like that cause she can see him through the madness and she is falling head over heels for this guy because she relates to this "Folie" and hence the title Folie à Deux
I'm very doubtful of this but this series almost feels like a play. First movie being the first act, second movie being the over the top middle part, and the third if it happens the possible climax or resolution to this story. He embraced being who he is, not he found love, all he needs is a true adversary.

Why do I get the feeling that Harley isn't even real? As if we're gonna get a screwed up twist in which Arthur's mind is so shattered that when he tries to remember his youth...... ....he mis-remembers his mother. Since his mother was blonde and allowed young Arthur to be abused by men, he could simpily be making up a female inmate similar to the younger version of his mentally unbalanced mother. Arthur might very well be compensating for all those lost years by imagining a fellow patient as a twisted coping mechanism. Just like Sophie's relationship in JOKER was just a figment of Arthur's imagination, so could Harley's existence! A current generation Arkham patient who looks similar to his mom, and just as violent as her boyfriends...❤
Trailer was great, was hoping to find out what roles Jacob Loffland and Harry Lawtey have in the movie, heard some rumors of who Harry could be playing bujt not sure about Jacob though

What a wonderful day! Feels good to be excited for a trailer again. I wonder how this will all go down in the movie. Will Arthur be as volatile in this as he was in the first one, or will Harley be the one to make all the big moves this time around?
Do you think there’s a possibility that Arthur is forcing Harley to do his dirty work and is abusive like he is in other media? But the differing points of view make it seem like they’re in love?
One thing I keep thinking about watching this trailer and breakdown of it its interesting how they doing Harley and keeping it ambitious about is she a doctor or not probably wrong but one thing I'm thinking that's interesting is maybe it'll pick up right where we left off or do flashback of the mob from Harleys pov and maybe see there the cops getting through arresting Arthur maybe others and well skip ahead a bit where he's already been in hospital for a bit and Harley be there here and there maybe works there maybe not as doctor who knows but she's there at times maybe trying to help herself maybe she's a volunteer and trying to recover from this huge moment in her life that's over now she part of mob probably and now its seemingly over and Arthur is gone but she's obsessed reading everything about him maybe get his files somehow follows his steps maybe even bought his apartment so she's living where he use to live anything she can to be close to him he was probably in jail for a bit but they took him to the hospital to wait for trial and that's when they actually see each other in the flesh she's seen videos of him up to this point seen him at a distance but he hasn't seen her and seeing her he can see himself just like she's attracted to him cause she sees herself in him they're like mirrors of each other
Because of how good Joker 1 was I am very excited to see Joker 2: Folie a Deux! I have no concerns other than it being a musical... I HATEEEE musicals however I am willing to watch it anyways due to the two being so crazy, the songs might fit the storyline and hopefully the amount of songs wont be annoying or breaks away from the scenes. But overall I am very excited!
The trailer looked better than I thought it was gonna be, but I don't know if it shatters all of my concerns until I see the actual movie... which I still planned to anyways because the first Joker was so good, but the trailer helped boost confidence a bit more... still don't like the idea of it being a Musical because I am not into those generally... hallucination sequence or not, if it gets to be a bit much, it may take me out of the movie... but I want to like this movie because when it comes to DC lately, it needs all the wins it can get
It looks like they remade the first movie and just added Gaga and musical numbers. Or possibly the entire movie is a flashback from Harley Quinn's point of view. If so that's disappointing. Maybe, that's why they couldn't call it Joker 2 in good faith.

Can’t wait until they finally reveal that Joker and The Batman are the same universe and that’s why Arkham looks how it does now, as well a myriad of other reasons I can think of. The cast for the Batman being very hidden is one clue.

Seems like a role reversal in this version of the Joker, Harley being the toxic one.
Why do I get the feeling that Harley isn't even real? As if we're gonna get a screwed up twist in which Arthur's mind is so shattered that when he tries to remember his youth......
....he mis-remembers his mother. Since his mother was blonde and allowed young Arthur to be abused by men, he could simpily be making up a female inmate similar to the younger version of his mentally unbalanced mother. Arthur might very well be compensating for all those lost years by imagining a fellow patient as a twisted coping mechanism. Just like Sophie's relationship in JOKER was just a figment of Arthur's imagination, so could Harley's existence! A current generation Arkham patient who looks similar to his mom, and just as violent as her boyfriends...❤
Trailer was great, was hoping to find out what roles Jacob Loffland and Harry Lawtey have in the movie, heard some rumors of who Harry could be playing bujt not sure about Jacob though
*With Steve Coogan’s character* I think this movie is about the romanticism of people with mental illness and obsession with serial killers.. seems like people may “love” the idea of Joker and Harley.
Honestly im kinda digging this movie more than the first, the first one was fine but derivitive of a few other movies, this ones like a messed up lalaland and looks great!!!

The lipstick smile scene is great but just seems like they are copying the WHY SO SERIOUS joker poster from the Dark Knight, way back in 2008.
Boba amazing breakdown i absolutly love this trailer and i think that all the events that takes place outside of Arkham Asylum are in Arthur's head ( along with the Harley ) and that's why he's crying in that short scene wich i think will be at the end of the movie or he just really escaped but get's arrested at the scene wich we saw from behind the scenes when Arthur and Harley dancing on the stairs and only Arthur get's arrested when the cops didn't even pay attetion to Harley wich i think is another proof that Harley might be in Arthur head just like Sophey

What a wonderful day! Feels good to be excited for a trailer again. I wonder how this will all go down in the movie. Will Arthur be as volatile in this as he was in the first one, or will Harley be the one to make all the big moves this time around?
Do you think there’s a possibility that Arthur is forcing Harley to do his dirty work and is abusive like he is in other media? But the differing points of view make it seem like they’re in love?

One thing I keep thinking about watching this trailer and breakdown of it its interesting how they doing Harley and keeping it ambitious about is she a doctor or not probably wrong but one thing I'm thinking that's interesting is maybe it'll pick up right where we left off or do flashback of the mob from Harleys pov and maybe see there the cops getting through arresting Arthur maybe others and well skip ahead a bit where he's already been in hospital for a bit and Harley be there here and there maybe works there maybe not as doctor who knows but she's there at times maybe trying to help herself maybe she's a volunteer and trying to recover from this huge moment in her life that's over now she part of mob probably and now its seemingly over and Arthur is gone but she's obsessed reading everything about him maybe get his files somehow follows his steps maybe even bought his apartment so she's living where he use to live anything she can to be close to him he was probably in jail for a bit but they took him to the hospital to wait for trial and that's when they actually see each other in the flesh she's seen videos of him up to this point seen him at a distance but he hasn't seen her and seeing her he can see himself just like she's attracted to him cause she sees herself in him they're like mirrors of each other
This looks so good i usually can take or leave a musical if that’s what this is but either way I need to see this
Because of how good Joker 1 was I am very excited to see Joker 2: Folie a Deux! I have no concerns other than it being a musical... I HATEEEE musicals however I am willing to watch it anyways due to the two being so crazy, the songs might fit the storyline and hopefully the amount of songs wont be annoying or breaks away from the scenes. But overall I am very excited!

The trailer looked better than I thought it was gonna be, but I don't know if it shatters all of my concerns until I see the actual movie... which I still planned to anyways because the first Joker was so good, but the trailer helped boost confidence a bit more... still don't like the idea of it being a Musical because I am not into those generally... hallucination sequence or not, if it gets to be a bit much, it may take me out of the movie... but I want to like this movie because when it comes to DC lately, it needs all the wins it can get

It looks like they remade the first movie and just added Gaga and musical numbers. Or possibly the entire movie is a flashback from Harley Quinn's point of view. If so that's disappointing. Maybe, that's why they couldn't call it Joker 2 in good faith.

I must admit when I heard Joker 2 was going to be a musical I had my doubts as I dislike the genre especially musical episodes. But this trailer did surprise me and i am looking forward to it

It looks like harley quinn is the one corrupting joker this time around, it seems he lost his way and everyone cooped his actions and she makes him find his real self which is a psycho killer. I dont know if she is real or not or betrays him but the movie is supposed to be a love story. I wouldnt be surprised if she is manipulating him

Can’t wait until they finally reveal that Joker and The Batman are the same universe and that’s why Arkham looks how it does now, as well a myriad of other reasons I can think of. The cast for the Batman being very hidden is one clue.
