I remember renting this back in the day. I was suprise how good it was. I was impressed how engaging it was for a game adaptation of the movie. Like many of you have stated, they need to remake this.
I would definitely agree that it was. Out of all the Terminator games I owned and played back in the day, Redemption was probably the one I played the most. That, and the T2 Arcade shooter.
It's a rare occurrence when a game based off a movie is better than said movie. John Connor acts more like John Connor, the T-X is shown at full potential and seems absolutely unstoppable, the ending is even better, and the T-X's destruction at the end feels believable & not rushed, and also this atmosphere is much darker and mysterious. The beginning is very informative and explains many things fans wanted to know about the future. I fear the future when watching this playthrough. I agree, it needs a remake.
The ending is definitely better than the film. But the film's ending is more sad, cuz John wasn't able to meet T-850 ever again. It was the last time they met each other. The game gave a happy ending tho. The movie has a better story in my opinion. There's also another game which is better than the actual movie it's based off. The name is X-men origins: Wolverine.

I liked that too. In fact, I remember purposely taking damage just so I could see the endoskeleton underneath lol. I always loved that image of a Terminator's endoskeleton being exposed through the flesh. Always had a thing for skeletons in general as well.

This game is one of my absolute favorites as far as gameplay goes the best game I’ve ever played and I’ve played about 750 different video games. It also got me through a really hard time in 2011 in fifth grade I was bullied relentlessly left school for homeschooling for about a year and this game absolutely made my summer of 2011. I still play it to this day.
@Green Grugach I’ve played terminator resistance and you’re right it’s absolutely fantastic but I bought it on the Xbox one so I haven’t been able to play annihilation line yet but I will be buying a new PlayStation just so I can play it.

@@char_ytt sorry I don’t play on PC. But to my knowledge no such a game actually exists. There was Terminator 3 war of the machines. Which was similar to Star Wars battlefront, but you would need a really old computer to play it.
the movies a whole did what u asked. T1 and T2 show what the future looks like. T3 shows the rise of the machines, ie nukes going off. And as Kyle Reese said the Hunter Killer drones came out and started recking people. Then later prototype terminators came out, then u know the rest
I remember picking this up at the local Blockbuster and I remember how good it was and how challenging it was too, it was hard in some areas of the game, but overall it was good and it needs a remake

I think that's because it's a combination of a voice actor doing an impression and actual voice samples of Arnold from T3. You can kind of tell when its Arnold and when it's the voice actor.

I think my favourite part is how the Terminator is delivering all these one liners in his usual, deadpan tone. - The game does seem to "jump around" a bit? Like how we suddenly go from Cyberdyne to Crystal peak in the blink of an eye. Good game for sure, I can see why it's considered the "true" Terminator 3 game!
This game would have been so good it wasn't a tie in to the movie. Someone needs to make a game where you play as the T800 in the future war. No movie tie ins and no time traveling. Just have it set in the future war.

That will never happen. Movie tie-in video games are almost-always guaranteed to never get another release due to licensing, and the possibility that the original developers of that game are no longer around. The studio that did this game, Paradigm Entertainment, was sold to THQ in 2006 and was ultimately closed in 2008.

I really hope video games for terminator are gonna be at the very least gettin a resurgence. I miss terminator and all it’s glory, movies are just....Idek anymore but it makes me so sad.
You know I’d love a game centered around Sarah Connor after the first Terminator and her dealing with being hunted by terminators.
You should get Terminator Resistance, it does the original movies justice in terms of aesthetic in the future war
