esuche por primera vez esta maravillosa composicion del gran compositor Ralph Vaughan Williams viendo la pelicula LA CONQUISTA DEL OESTE y, a partir de entonces, he hecho siempre todo lo posible por oirla el maximo de veces.Incluso me inspiro un ensayo en el que un muchacho se sentia triste porque su chica tenia que ausentarse y no la veria durante un fin de semana. Entonces el muchacho pone un disco sobre GREENSLEEVES y mientras lo escucha cierra los ojos y se imagina que esta en un lugar de Inglaterra, cercano a Cornwall en un dia de lluvia pero que no es obice para que se encuentre con su chica bailando el tema de GREENSLEEVES mientras ambos se mojan de lo lindo al tiempo que se oye a lo lejos el rugido de las olas del mar rompiendo contra los acantilados.
Very nice - but I still feel that something is missing in the string section. I simply don't believe that this piece is suitable for chamber music performance. This piece needs a full string ensemble in order to make the music come to life, just like the composer calls for in his scoring.
