Don’t get an undercoating! Instead go with an oil type undercoating like fluid flim or such type products. Regular spray on type undercoating trap moisture and actual cause more harm then good.
Excellent video. I enjoy looking after my daily. I use the coin wash 2-3 times a week during winter. Pre-soak all salt with Salt Off by Starbrite or Surfex HD diluted @7% when roads get really bad. Once a week I'll follow up with a rinseless wash using Sonax BSD or a foaming waterless wash product.
After watching the undercoating on my old truck flake off and hold salt, I highly dont recommend undercoating. Wash it. Wash it again. After after you think the underside is clean, wash it again. I think its the only help. I live in ohio and salt sucks.
is it worth my time to get under there and hit everything with turtle wax seal and shine every few months? Im dealing with a new car that has yet to see road salt.
You need a rust inhibitor, something like Bilt Hamber Atom Mac. I use a karcher patio attachment and run it upside down under the car. Some atom Mac diluted in the pressure washer and coat everything after a good clean

Use a karcher patio head. Turn it upside Down and blast away. John from forensic detailing has a great video on this.

Our local jet car wash has a bay which rinses the undercarriage with high pressure water
