I have wanted something like this for a long time! I have a Canon version and a Fujifilm version on order, and I can't wait to get them. I am so excited about this new product! Thank you, Godox!
Best trigger I’ve ever used. They did a great job. 👏🏻
Thanks for the review. 7:54 keep your camera in manual focus next time 😉
Yeah, should've used manual focus 😓
thanks for this review!!! it is so complete and informative
Glad it was helpful!
Absolutely getting this! But I do not believe for a second that it will last 7 shooting days without recharging. It has a large screen on it.
Hey Rob. Thanks for your review! Just a few questions. I think this will be an excellent trigger for macro photography out in the field. I think throughout your video (at one point) the X3 can be controlled solely with buttons? I envision the touch screen getting a little annoying with wet weather conditions. AND did you every try this in your studio and see how long the battery lasts? Thanks in advance.
Godox lists the battery at 40 hours of operating time. We haven't used it on long shoots yet but so far we haven't had to charge our one for over a week. You can control the trigger using the round dial which spins and presses down.
Limited versions come in for Hasselblad, Fuji & Olympus with battery changeable & Bluetooth.
*ATG RT/Godox RT/Neewer RT/Canon RT/Sony RT/Profoto RT. Pre-order starts for professional = $650
* ATG RT is like but better than most than only accept Canon RT.
Thanks!
finalmente baetría de litio, además super compacto :D
Hi Rob! I have a question for you.. Are the Godox Triggers x1 x2 x3.. cross compatible?
I mean can I shoot the Godox V1 (Nikon version) from a Sony Camera if I just get a Sony Trigger? (Off-Camera)
You sure can! So long as you use the correct trigger with your camera (i.e. Sony trigger with Sony camera), then it doesn't matter what model your flash is as the TTL settings will still transmit wirelessly. You can also control the flash / change settings as it's on the same 2.4Ghz wireless frequency.
I just bought the x3c and trying to connect it to my v860iic but I cant seem to connect it. Are they even compatible? I've seen on a few sites that they are but I can't seem to get it to work.
Hypop, pulling out the X3 for Canon (3:22 -3:25) on Sony camera, which we all know it won't work in TTL, why this mistake?
Only had the C version for the review and we shoot Sony here 😁
hello I have a question about this trigger. Adorama store sells these products with different name, it calls Flashpoint and BHphotvideo sells with this name Godox X3. my question is , i have two flashpoint lights from Adorama one of them is godox AD200 PRO which in my case calls Flashpoint eVOLV 200 PRO AND Godox AD400 again in my case Flashpoint XPLOR 400 PRO. i bought from BH godox x3 trigger so i am curious will it work without any problem with Flashpoint lights which are basically the same product but branding standpoint different name
We believe they work on the same 2.4Ghz wireless frequency so that shouldn't be a problem.
I assume people will start making cases that hold this and a tt350
Does this only work with external flash? What about built in flash?
Only with Godox's flashes, not built-in flashes
My x3 overexposes by an entire stop of light when converting from ttl to manual. I know it’s the trigger because my xpro-n trigger doesn’t do this. I’ve tried to reset the x3 but that doesn’t help. Any suggestions?
Try using TCM to see if the same Manual output value differs when comparing it across different triggers.
Yeah. I did that. The xpro-n exposes spot on when converting from ttl to manual but the x3 overexposes by an entire stop of light. What’s weird is that the ttl shot itself is fine but when I convert to manual for some reason it’s a stop brighter.
@@davidhead5751 Hey did you find a solution for this or does this problem still happen?
I haven’t really found a good solution. Depending on which light I use (ad200 or v860iii) the tcm conversion to manual is 2/3 to 1 full stop overexposed. I just have to get the basic reading and then adjust down manually each time I use ttl and the convert to manual. Are you having a similar issue?
WHY did they change the name ? is there anything different then the xNano
I believe there's a range of projectors called "Xnano"
The Sony X3 trigger has a metal base plate on it.
Can confirm the X3-S does indeed have a metal hot shoe!
This looks great and I would have to say.... NO. But thank you for sharing and showing the issues that can happen with this product.
I hate how wireless is spelled wrong after you tap on it. Small issue but really bugs me haha
which one would you prefer xpro ii or x3? please give your honest opinion.
Personally, XProII if using on the field and for events or weddings. X3 is the perfect lightweight studio trigger.
*Manual focus would be handy sometimes. 😛
Yeah only noticed this after we recorded 🤦🏻♂️
I have spent a lot of time trying to understand what you are talking about.
I have an X-ProC. It sits on my Canon camera and transmits signals to anything listening. I don't regard it as a "trigger." It's a "transmitter."
I have an X1C R hanging off my Jinbei strobe. R is for Receiver, a complementary term to Transmitter
Yongnuo has a line of very dumb devices that fill both roles, those are called transceivers. Like transmitter and receiver, it comes from the world of radio.
I also have a device that detects lightning, and I think, sound. It sits on or near a camera and when it detects a signal, it triggers a camera. A significant difference between this and a receiver is the lack of a companion transmitter. And the trigger can detect several events, a broken light beam for example.
wtf you talkin about mate? This triggers external flashes. Simple
@@thatryguygamer1616 It's a transmitter. Arguably the receiver triggers the flashes. In radio terms, it receives the signal and so "receiver." My Godox X1R is a receiver, it receives signals from my XPro. My V1 speedlights have receivers built in.
The easiest trigger to use, 5*.
too small
That was the whole point
@@izthombe_zikamusa and with fat fingers, it is worthless
@@rayc2137lmfao, I'm sure in the near future they'll make much bigger versions, especially for fat fingers
Godox XL trigger 😅
