Nice tutorial! It made me realize though that this move is a heckuva lot easier than it seems, because I do it off a push with the back of my head and neck instead of a hip thrust. Have you tried combining both for more height?
I tried this and apparently I am able to do this even when I lay completely flat and stretched out on the ground. My arms are behind my head and I do not swing my legs at all or push the ground. I just go from laying flat to standing up like shown in this video except for the motion he does with his legs and arms.
So I learnt this about a week ago, but someone explain how to do it high? Even a normal kip-up - which I can land comfortably pretty much every time I try now - I am higher but still close to the deep squat position. How do you land it where you are almost standing already?

Practicing on the concrete floor, my mom called from downstairs and my ass and back hurts a bit, just cant seem to get my upper body up at the right time, back and feet hit the ground and I'm in a wrestlers arch position.. I need a matress. I keep rolling to a standing position instead of keeping that back arch when my feet touch the ground..
Nah, I don't think so... I am not a professional nor can I do a back hand spring. The back hand spring is more of a bridge than a kip up. Still worth learning it!👌
Mean you are doing it the wrong way or it's just your back kinda stiff,it also can be cause you are doing it for long period of time non stop. (I kinda flexible but my back become pain when I fail the kip up and land on the floor with my back multiple times.)
honestly if u can do a regular kip up, just try to put more emphasize in the kick and you will evntually automatically progress into the no handed kip up

For some reason it was way easier for me to get the Head Kip Up than the regular one. I actually did my first when I didn't use any hands 😆
