      It's a good line because it doesn't exactly mean you suck it just means you lost your golden ticket EZ Pass that made the journey smoother.
      Last two games are objectively bad but the saga of Mac Jones overall is very much a saga the "rest of us" group were used to dealing with.

      Not that many people failed to notice how great and important Brady was. I didn't see us becoming the very worst team so fast, but it was clear the days of perpetual contender were over barring another miracle player acquisition.

      @@ManuelRodriguez-mg8km He's listening to too much talk radio/debate shows. The Brady/Belichick debate when they were one entity for 20 years is so stupid. One person is never responsible for everything. That 13-3 Super Bowl against the Rams #1 offense doesn't just get erased because Mac Jones sucks. That said, it is fair to criticize Bill's inability to draft offensive talent, because there does seem to be something going on for about 10 years there. Still, it's such a manufactured debate.

    I grew up with the late 70s Pats through today. Todays fans are completely delusional to think that the success that we’ve had for 20 years is sustainable. Eventually you have to tear it all down and rebuild. When you decide to do that it’s a COMPLETE top down process. We all fell for the same trap with the Celtics post Bird. It took an ownership change and firing everyone 10 years AFTER Bird retired before Ainge was hired and brought in Doc. Then the big trades and great drafts. It took another 5 years to become a champion again! That’s where we’re at! These players like N’Keal Harry and Isaiah Winn, Cole Strange, and on and on. It’s the same as the Dee Browns and Eric Motross stiffs that the Celtics fans lived with for a DECADE before Danny came in. Time to clean house, and rebuild bring in a young GM let them bring in their own coach and start over!

    • @wisewolftony
      @wisewolftony ปีที่แล้ว

      I mean he's talked some nonsense as well not too long ago. By saying that Tua isn't any better than Mac Jones. It's fine if you want to believe in Jones and say he needs more help. But Tua was in an even worse position in his first two seasons in the league. Had an even worse O-Line much worse weapons no running game and worse offensive coaching around him and a HC who didn't want him and belittled him all the even did it in front of the team on occasions. And yet Tua played at an average level.

    • @donywahlberg
      @donywahlberg ปีที่แล้ว

      He has sources due to that tenure as a newspaper reporter for the team prior to NBC but I caution you to take everything he says with a grain of salt. He doesn't have a football professional background to be taken seriously when he grades a player, he is just reactive to stuff on TV.
      His main job is to run a daily show for NBC and his job is to keep viewers glued, and the obvious way to do that is to speak down on the team when that's what the fanbase is already doing. All that said Tom seems like a nice guy who is good at media, doesn't mean he is always correct or reflective of reality.
      He was swearing up and down till September that Mac Jones was the answer and Patricia was the root of all problems...just like the fans...and now Tom is walking that back and saying Bill failed to build a roster so it's his fault.

Bill can’t even judge talent that is playing right in front of him. Hell he wanted to move on from Tom. How many more years do you want to field a team that has almost no talent? Appreciate Andrew speaking up defending Bill and drawing the line that it is ridiculous to run him out of town. It's not just ungrateful for the memories and emotions his teams have provided the fans but it's stupid analytics because the things he has always been known for coaching are still working out pretty fine.
    His "nepotism" hasn't destroyed the defense by installing Mayo and Steve B so now people have to blame the offensive on field results on him. If Zappe or Malik or even Mac simply turn this around and win some games and don't look inept these takes are going to look so dumb.

    Tom isn't my favorite locally. He definitely has sources but his opinions and analytical stuff always lean towards drama and clickbait.
    It's obviously unacceptable results but there are several analysts and former professionals who are not as negative on the roster and Bill's job security as Tom and other local reporters are. Let's see how we handle LV after the offense changes and then see where the Bills are for the next game. They're the only team losing more defensive starters than the Pats and it's the NFL nothing is for certain.

    The guy won for 15 straight seasons which means they are never in line to draft the next impact player. So they don't get Top 10 picks. They rarely got Top 25 picks. Forever. At some point, the talent level is going to drop. You are going to miss since there are few can't misses available. At some point, just like when he started at New England, you will have some tough years. The expectation that he win every year is irrational. This will be the first season they are eliminated from the playoffs before December in memory and that is only if he doesn't turn it around.

    • @Psycho_Logical_631
      @Psycho_Logical_631 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thats not a legitimate excuse to miss so frequently on offensive players, he has no problem finding talent in any round on defense, and the receivers he does take on offense 80% of them are not even in the league anymore lol and guys that was drafted after the players BB picked are superstars in the league, Nkeal Harry over guys like DK Metcalf, AJ Brown, and Deebo Samuel....Or how about taking Sony Michel over Nick Chubb smh there's plenty of talent late 1st round and even 2nd round

      @@Psycho_Logical_631 He is an exceptional defensive coach. One of the best of all time, perhaps the best. So he can get the most out of his defensive players. Every team misses on players, but when you are continually at the back end of the draft, you are not going to get that exceptional talented guy to anchor your team. There is no Nick Bosa. No Penei Sewell. You get what is left.

      @richardprescott5939 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@JustinStrifePay cuts allowed them to get other players. For that Brady improved his team. But Brady could punt the ball for most of his career and get it back in better field position . Much easier to throw it away on third down when you get the ball back. And Brady bailed and went to another team with a ton of talent.

    • @JustinStrife
      @JustinStrife ปีที่แล้ว

      @@richardprescott5939 Here's other aspects of Brady's game that almost NO ONE talks about. His offense were known for doing long scoring drives that ate up time on the clock and allowed his defenses the ability to rest. They also rarely had a consistent run game, so Brady's dink and dunk passes that people made fun of him for, were in affect, their run game.

      Your being a bit extreme with your take on Wynn. He's been average at best nowhere near playing at a pro bowl level. He has a grade of 49 on PFF which is well below average. And if you watch the film the Dolphins constantly have Connor Williams double teaming blocking the same man because he's the weakest link on the line. Wouldn't be shocked if he's out of the starting lineup in the next week or two. As Robert Jones has come off of IR. And last season he played pretty well at guard who started in like 7 games last season at guard and posted a respectable 62 grade.

They cant fire mcdaniels because they are out of money, but they restructure his deal so that he can be an OC under bill for a four year deal, and give bill four years with some non gaurnteed money on the back end. Keep the GM in place but give bill some control of player personel and suddenly you have an in game coach with an okay roster thats mostly familiar with how bill does things

    Everything you are saying about Belichick as GM is accurate. You lightly touched on the real issue which is: what happened in the middle of these five games? They looked competitive and decent against two excellent teams. They got a win, not pretty, but a win nevertheless against the Jets. Then two disasters. Everything you were saying explains the long-term trend, but does not explain the precipitous decline within these five games this season. What shifted in these five games? Mac Jones punched Sauce Gardner in the n*ts. That was the shifting point. Mac Jones does not have the respect of his players, or anyone on the field. The coaches are blind to this. Mac Jones may have better fundamentals in practice, but Zappe has poise, leadership skills, and the respect of his teammates. Mac Jones is not a leader. Leaders get stronger in the face of adversity. I don’t mean better statistics. I mean they dig deep inside and come out with fire and ownership. Mac Jones gave a 12 minute press conference of non answers. That is when I saw there is nothing inside him to lead this team in the right direction.
