I have just done it in my living room...wife is extremely happy with the results. Didnt even have to mop the floor as carpet sucked all the water. Result!
Call me lazy but I put the bike in the bathtub and shower it (as well as wiping it with a clean rag and brush later on), this way it is quite fast as well and I have a really good reason to clean the bathtub regularly :D
I'll call you ingenious, although my spouse would call me something completely different if I used the shower for that. Also, does the bike smell nice and fresh afterwards??? I had to ask!
Or just get a handheld sprayer that you manually pump the pressure in and go outside, where you don't have to worry about where the water and mud go. Of course it's more tricky if it's freezing cold and or snowing/raining outside, but surely there can be found a spot where you're at least covered with a roof.
I assume around 3-4 hours, my bike was more dirty than his, it took me over 4 hours to clean everything, including little parts, drivetrain, spokes, saddle..
This was the only step missed. I used to get a Swiss made oem lube for Rock Shox but can’t remember the name. Light coating on the fork legs, cycle once, wipe tide mark, wait 2minutes and cycle suspension 3 times, bonus hidden muck appears!
What you are doing is like dry cleaning your bike. For bike so dirty, I would be so compel to put it outdoor and hose it down. It is so much more satisfying to watch the dirt fall off the bike under the hose.
I live in a flat, but use a battery powered pressure washer to do it outside. Surely everyone can find some place to do it outside? I keep my bike in tarpaulin which is lifted up the sides, folded around the ends of the bike and clipped over the wheels.
Yeah, just clean the chain and drivetrain. Summer is the time for all this. Woh!, why not lube each chain link individually. Why waste all that overpriced lube!
When I have to wash my motorcycle or bike, especially when it is very dirty as in this case, the first thing I do is remove the residues with water (outside in the open). If I don't want to wet certain parts I simply use a weak jet of water that is enough to wash the large residues of mud. After I clean the chain, wash well the bike with a rag and only at the end lubricate the chain. I think that with a dirty brush I would risk marking the bike, especially the opaque parts. Anyway it's just my opinion, I don't want to teach anything to anyone :)

hey man i want to open my suntour xcr coil fork and the bolt is just spinning what can i do about it, i want to change the fork seals and add a foam rings and add oil
In this moment I realize how crazy I am to take all my bike apart to wash it...even the rear cassete out...or maybe that is the real wash...not this one.
1} put the bike into the shower. 2) turn the water on. 3) remove the chain and clean it right. 4) using a sponge and soapy water clean everything top to bottom. 5) turn the water on again. 6) dry the bike with clean cloth. 7) reinstall the properly lubricated chain. My swimming pool ladder is outside so in the summer clean outside. Sometimes I do clean with a brush.
Your "special" spray acts as a degreaser and leaves a coating to repel dirt? But then at the end you put on a polishing coat and covered the "special" coating. I'll stick with WD40
just go to a car washing station where you can wash the car yourself and dont bother brushing your bike with plain water and a brush on a wooden floor...

This guys spends hours and enjoys cleaning his bikes the way I enjoy cleaning my rifles ☺☺
And I thought I had OCD...LOVE IT❤️
Fantástico, bien explicado, bien grabado y una limpieza exquisita. 👍
I very like yours videos where you clean or restoring bike and it look like new. I very enjoy it!!! Thanks

I do exactly the same thing! Though I do use a degreaser on the drive train before I use water.
I'll call you ingenious, although my spouse would call me something completely different if I used the shower for that.

@@That_Stealth_Guy you don't need to use a conditioner on your bike bro 😉
Total agreement!
Good job on bike clean.
woah, so much water on a wooden floor? no damage to the floor?
Now the bike shines again as its owner. Can you post the "recipes" for your cleaners or make a video about them???
It's WD40 mate

Or just get one with a battery. They are really amazing
That's another video. That's not this video, which is clearly about how to clean a muddy bike ina small room.
Great video. Love the workmanship. It would help when you use a “special” spray or products, you provide the base ingredients. Cheers.
Makes me wanna go clean my bike :-)
love the video such a good content
How much time did it take ?

Wpl forkboost lube. I use it on suspension and droppers, the amount of grim it pulls out is pretty crazy and keeps it lubed🤙
This was the only step missed. I used to get a Swiss made oem lube for Rock Shox but can’t remember the name. Light coating on the fork legs, cycle once, wipe tide mark, wait 2minutes and cycle suspension 3 times, bonus hidden muck appears!
I mean.. you were already outside so why would you clean it inside
Probably because there snow or rain or just super cold.🤔
I have M5100 derailleur and I want do full service of it. It will be better when you shot this process)
Hey Danny, what do you think about a cannondale 3 ?
What brand are those pants?

Wouldn’t the degreaser damage the seals in the suspension

Te la sabes vato!!!
Five minutes ride in the mud and back to square one.

I wash my eMTB after EVERY ride 😉
Hi bro, I have a GT xpert 29 bike, I would like to upgrade it, would you please advise me. Thanks you.

How to clean you E- bike
3:46 now from the top make it drop
I wash all my bikes on my back porch where i have a roof over my head 🤣
Wow…. Why wash ur bike on your hardwood floors and make all that mess ?
i suppose it's for people who can only clean their bike in a constraint space. For sure I like to have a dedicated washing bay.

Which helps lol. Cleans the stanchions
@@The_Real_JN but removes lubrification.
I've done the worst..
Lived in a small apartment
Bike washing in 2 ½ meters x 3 ½ foot width bathroom
I just take off both wheels

Karcher OC 3 Plus do it for a few minutes

Oh no id have stopped after the first wash
♥️💕👍
This is stupid. Just go to the car wash with a few quarters and it is done. Why get piles of mud in your living room??
cycle to the car wash, ride back home with a dirty bike again, smart.
@@ivanteo1973 it's not gonna be filthy riding back is it lol

fixed for the movable part of the dropper!!! are you crazy????????? 😬😬😬😬
it damages nothing if it is clean
It's design to take a person's weight. Having the bike weight on it is no problem
Ahh es una moto, no una bici!!
no no non si lava cosi
Lepiej pojechać na myjnie, a nie pierdolić się z tymi pędzelkami i ścierą.
Lost interest as soon as I saw the battery.

Too much work
Electric bike nice..😐
