I actually love how the opening stays the same but the ending changes. The opening song is made to give the vibe for the whole show overall so it stays the same. The ending song changes to the vibe of each arc specifically and those endings hit so hard because their vibe fits perfectly for what just happened in the episode you just finished. Especially when a more serious and somber arc starts and shit goes down, the ending song always hits hard when you finish each episode.
I don't know how many episodes you've already watched, but I highly recommend watching Episode 1 of the 1999 Hunter x Hunter anime. There's some content in there that was inexplicably cut from 2011 and it helps solidify Gon's character and his motives.

I love Hunter x Hunter and I would love to watch you react to it for the first time, but the thing is I know you've seen the show before, not because you had a poster. But because of the fact that there is a video of you literally saying talking about you watching Hunter x Hunter in the past. It's pretty misleading to say it's your first time reacting to it. I love your energy and content, but lying to your community about this being "your first time watching the show" simply isn't. Much love still. But I can't get onboard with this one. The respect you would gain if you just admitted that you have seen some of these shows before, like Deathnote and One Punch Man, would make me maybe want to see some of these shows your seeing again. This is a really great anime. Leorio is absolutely adorable, despite his rough exterior, and I can't wait until the episode where he reveals his age.

In the original japanese they use both male and female pronouns for Kurapika... But this was translated back when everyone hated the LGBTQ+ community so in the English version they only use male pronouns for them.

yesssss HunterXHunter!!! man, I need to get back to watching this one... I watched through like... I think the first arc or so? then fell off, but that's just because I have ADHD, I really enjoyed my time with this show. you're gonna love it, it's a really fun one. the whole main quartet is wonderful... actually I might've fallen off the wagon because it was stressing me out to worry about whether the characters would be okay or not, because I like them. ^_^; it's such an unfortunate reason... I should get back to it now that I've taken some time.
EDIT: also, I immediately trust anyone who's a big fan of Leorio. excellent choice.
