I've just watched Judith's State Memorial Service & they had Rick Springfield saying she phoned him 25 years after they first met to ask if they could record his song. He was totally thrilled & honoured as she was a long term idol of his. What a wonderful version they did. Rest in peace & love, Judith. The voice of an angel has been silenced but will live on in music history. 💜🕊️
Any man who does not get a crush on this wonderful, warm, beautiful woman with the voice of an angel is dead and/or blind, and/or deaf. And the guys are a PERFECT band that compliments her PERFECT voice. Every song they perform is PERFECT. I fell in love with her voice in the 60's and felt like a 16 year old with a crush when I first saw her on youtube... what a lovable cutie-pie who's goodness is clearly evident.. If every man had a Judith war would be obsolete.
Thank you Judith there’s one thing that we must do in our lives and keep going towards that way is try to live in peace if we promote peace and we bring priest to ourselves within a passage to our children in our friends life of a lot easier, they will be a lot less Sickness this aggravation I love Judith and her music and her legacy. She was sick and she kept on going. I could learn a lot by her from what she she gave and how she kept on pushing forward. Thank you, Judith.
A música ficou mais triste neste dia 05.08.2022. Foi cantar no céu, junto de Deus, a fantástica, a inigualável Judith Durham. Meus sentimentos à família dela e, sobretudo, aos 'rapazes' do The Seekers. Grandíssimo grupo musical. Quase que não temos músicas boas atualmente.
Uplifting is not word that has found its' way into my vocabulary, very often, during my 64 years upon this earth and, lately, I'll found myself becoming much more cynical that I would have ever previously imagined. But Judith & The Boys have been a part of my musical listening life for almost a half century and this song, discovered now, is powerful & uplifting. You can't go wrong with The Seekers.
The internet is fabulous, I approached a group as beautiful as the Seekers. I've heard hundreds of times their songs! They are beautiful ......I am brazilian but I wish I could meet them! God bless them and their families
Loved the Seekers so much especially Athol playing that "BIG BROWN THING". So much so it gave me the inspiration to get one myself and learned play it. I tinker around with this song on the bass all the time.
after watching the grainy black and white videos of the seekers, its nice to see them in a much sharper color film. judith will be in her 90's and still sound great.... great post
Whatever the Seekers decide to record you can 100 percent guarantee it will be wonderful. As someone else commented about Judith Durham she could sing the phone book and make it sound great. I cannot help noticing that 50 people have given this the thumbs down. That’s not really 50 people that’s 50 idiots!!!.
Daniel, I just sit back, mellow and enjoy this beautiful music. Anyone who looks into it further than that is welcome !! Let them confound themselves - I listen and move along!!
Thanks for the best group of the world the Seekers I enjoyed. Judith Durham her voice is a DIAMOND ,God Bless You and the Australian . Thanks for posting I love the music so much. Friendly regards from Amsterdam The Netherlands Esther ❤🎶🎤🌹🌹
I would pay dearly for an opportunity to see these wonderfull people perform live and in the flesh . . . I stopped bothering with live shows more than 30 years ago, but . . . The Seekers LIVE ? ! !
Judith Durham and The Seekers toured regularly from 1964 until 1968 and again from 1992 until 2014. The latter years included Australia, the UK, New Zealand and perhaps more. You had plenty of opportunities.......
I love the Seekers also! Such a positive uplifting sound! And Judith Durham, what a lovely , phenomenal voice! If they did another re-union concert I would love to see and hear them in person. Mike, from North Carolina
Michael Perez Judith is my age..73.. and Athol is 77 I think. They might be tired of traveling. Singing, maybe yes, but all the traveling ? I live near LA would love it too
Bruce carried a deep resentment towards Judith for quitting when they were on the brink of signing a second deal with EMI which would have made them millionaires. She apologised 24 years later and he forgave her on the spot.
She did the right thing. The deal was that they would go back at the end of summer and she stayed longer to please them. She was very young and homesick. Back in Australia she met the love of her life and had a successful career. I don’t think she was ever unhappy about the choices she made.
Ron Edgeworth helped her to get her Health to a high state and he helped her to slim down for life. In addition he helped her in her spiritual journey ! @@singing-sands
Every time I have seen Judith Durham play the piano with The Seekers she has this same smile as though she is 'having a ball.'. Triumph, delight, a bit of relief perhaps....a face full of JOY. Here is someone who has overcome much.
One thing about the Seekers. Their music stands on it own. They did not need any elaborate stage props or anything like that. Their voice and singing talent is the best.
Received your reply with thanks. I agree with you. They never had these fancy gadgets but they were original with great voices. When I look back the Seekers were not number one contenders. Forty years later we missed out. They Seekers were contenders. Our local radio stations never promoted the Seekers to be as contenders. Sad but true. The young artists today have no concept of singing. Yelling and screaming is not what I call is music. When I go to the mall all I hear is crummy singing and it turns me off. I still listen to the oldies on Zoomers radio station. I hope Zoomers will not change.
Glad to see this one back....What a super group. They have a unique sound that cannot be matched. They all compliment each other. To like every song they do speaks for their talent and balance. Just a fabulous group with a fabulous sound.. of clean cut music.. and what makes there music even more enjoyable is that they were "into" and "lived" the music they sang and you can see it in the way they presented it to us... they enjoyed what they were doing while making us happy.. what else can I say
@RayPosh1 Just found your note... man, I thought I was alone. This is one heck of a group and one heck of a Judith. So much talent, so much charm, so much.... damn, if I could find one just like her might even consider getting married again. She is utterly beautiful, even now, having just celebrated her mid - 60s birthday. Have loved this group for sooo many years.
@queeny107 Very much alive and producing fabulous art. And this May 2011, Judith and the Boys (Athol, Keith and Bruce)--The Seekers will be touring Australia in concert.
@huppypuppy I kid you not. Judith and The Boys will be touring with Andre Rieu in less than a month across Oz. You can see snippets from their rehearsals here on youtube. Can't keep this incredible group down...
It certainly has that sort of blues/jazz vibe - the ragtime piano really suits it (Judith being a talented pianist). AFAIK (but not sue) Rick Springfield sang this first, it came out in the US in 1972.
Yes Karen carpenter had a great voice BUT I Still think Judith is in a couple of pips up in a world of her own with that absolutely fantastic voice and very very talented lady. Plays piano composes also. Only one world beautiful

I so miss The Seekers. Judith and the lads were fantastic. Faultless.
Now Judith is gone, but lives on in her voice.
When I miss Judith I SPEAK TO THE SKY..🤗💐❤️🙏
Sure going to miss her & beautiful voice.. Thanks UTUBE for this great music

Let's get a million views for this special lady

Judith & The Boys = "The Seeker's"!!!
Fun, Melodic, "EXCELLENTE" 👏👏👏
Thanking the Seekers for gracing the world with their gifts
one thing i love about this clip is they still seem to enjoy performing together
How can you listen to this and not feel just a little better afterwards...

I've loved the Seekers from the first time I heard them in 1963, and will die loving them.
Beautiful Song Thank you for it.
These guys where just kings of melodies and harmonies, my mother has sung them since I was a boy and now they are a major inspiration musicaly to me.

Uncanny. They were legends. Long gone and then came back better than ever...
They have some Talent, not seen much these days with that Racket called cRAP
Always boosts my spirits when I hear her sing! ♥️
Wish I could give it thumbs up twice.

Thank you dear Judith for putting so many smiles on so many faces... The world is a much better place because of you
Class, beauty, talent! There will never again be anyone like Judith Durham.
This song is better each time I watch the video.

Possibly the best group ever organized , certainly for folk music !!
Judith a voice as clear as crystal, backed by the boys beautiful harmony.
I fell in love with her (& the Seekers) back in the 60s. The best ever to come out of the 60s & Australia
I would pay dearly for an opportunity to see these

I would give my right arm and legs to see them in concert..I love them so much xxx one going to cry now xx
I love the Seekers also! Such a positive uplifting sound! And Judith Durham, what a lovely , phenomenal voice! If they did another re-union concert I would love to see and hear them in person. Mike, from North Carolina
Me too Mike! Hope they do tour again...

Fantastic song and band.
they will always be the best group, I love their music and love playing over again. Well done love it
Beautiful lady your music will live on R.I.P ❤️🩹
It's not easy to get together for 40 years, they must have very deep friendship!

Another wonder from the Land Down Under!
Still love listening to her "Belt em out", !!!!
And the World will look better from up there
LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS SONG!!!.. BUT LIKE EVERYTHING JUDITH N SEEKERS SING!!!
I just love that skit with the cigar in her mouth while she's playing the piano.
Every time I have seen Judith Durham play the piano with The Seekers she has this same smile as though she is 'having a ball.'. Triumph, delight, a bit of relief perhaps....a face full of JOY. Here is someone who has overcome much.
Judith with a tambourine. Keith with the 12 string. Timeless, boundless, magic.
One thing about the Seekers. Their music stands on it own. They did not need any elaborate stage props or anything like that. Their voice and singing talent is the best.
How true.
And every note is on the perfect place in every song, by each one of the band.

If you don't feel uplifted after this wonderful song, you might want to check for a pulse. And Judith's smile could melt an iceberg :0)
@Dave Leclair oops. You might want to find a new image though we surely have a glimmer of what you meant . 😂

Judith just looks so cute in her derby with the cigar. They sure had (and probably still have) fun together!.
Karen Lemley definitely. The seekers recorded that sketch for fun in the 60's.
@queeny107 Very much alive and producing fabulous art. And this May 2011, Judith and the Boys (Athol, Keith and Bruce)--The Seekers will be touring Australia in concert.
