For me (I’m from Germany) he definitely is the best player of all time! Balic was a genius and technical on another level. Wislander was a amazing playmaker too. But Karabatic is just so complete. In Defense and in Offense - and he was nearly 20 years on this Top-Level
Best or not doesn't matter. He's the most titled handball player with the national team. 3x Olympic games, 3x Euro, 4x world cup plus 1x Olympic silver and a few bronze medals. I don't even know what or how much he's won on club level but there are surely a few trophies there.
4 titles in Euro, now.
The number of titles he won, the incredible overall success, the inimitable mentality, the tremendous quality in the attack and defense, and being able to perform like this for such a long time. There is no doubt for me that this man is the GOAT

@@user-dc4sm3lg1z I have to admit that Mikkel Hansen is perhaps the greatest backcourt-shooter of all time but if you look at their individual defense qualities, Karabatic is the better defense player.

I am Croatian and it's unbelievable how most of Croatians are blind and say Balic is GOAT. Btw most of them watch handball only in January during big international tournaments. Balic was magic for 4,5 seasons, Balic was amongst the greatest,but this man.... More than 10 years, the shooting, the passing, the defence, the strenght and stamina, the leadership mentality. Absolutely above everyone!

@@anamarijagundic7115 Well, I'm glad you're asking, because I have played it for 8 years. I stopped when I started college and moved to bigger city (Zagreb), because I didn't have time anymore. OK, Balić is your favourite, I assume that judging by your question. I disagree, he is amongst the greatest ever, but Karabatić is a beast from other world for me. Let's put it this way: Balić is like Ronaldinho - magic like you've never seen it before, but it didn't last for very long. Karabatić is like C. Ronaldo - absolute beast, dominant in every way and in both directions for 60 minutes, and long lasting, although not so attractive and stylish like Balić's handball... I could also add trophies which are on Karabatić's side, but that is, in my opinion, irrelevant, as Nikola was surrounded by an unreal team. It was the best team in the history of the sport.
@@ivanblazevic9353 Karabatić is like Ibrahimović, except Ibrahimović kick with leg players and Karabatić slaps them. In other words they are ruing sport. If you can't handle good player don't bullied them. C. Ronaldo is hardworking and has a talent. Karabatić doesnt has good tehnics (lazy ass who doesnt want to pratice more), he has only fizical strength, for intimidation. If Handball Championships werent so corrupted he would be above average player, but definitly not in top 5, not even top 10. And by statistics, Kiril Lazarov is goat, then Balic, Hansen, Duvnjak.

Watch that final again and see how Vori and Gojun roughed up on him, watch every game and see how Karabatić got beaten by defenders. No further discussion needed. Karabatic lazy ass? That might be the biggest BS I ever read. That's why he's still playing for France at age 37. Balić was lazy ass, smoker, arguing with referees and even his own coaches when things didn't go his way. He could only dream to still be playing at 37
if you like c.ronaldo i assume you like n.karabatic. you are on point there. i would say karabatic is top 5, maybe top 3. c.ronaldo is not top 5, but as i say if you value longevity, strenght commitment, i can see why nikola would be your no.1. for me cavar is better than both of them
