Gingerbread artist Tunde Dugantsi decorating an Easter egg cookie with white lace design using royal icing. Music from the public domain: “C. Schumann Scherzo in C minor Op. 14” by Felipe Sarro freemusicarchiv...
Hi Tunde! Love the design and video. Thanks for sharing. I thought of you and your practice sheets yesterday; that's as far as I got with the thought. Smiling! I am having vision problems but I don't know if it is a contributing factor or the main reason why I have such difficulty. Sometimes my head is nearly laying on the table so that I can see. I love this design and may try it today. I am disheartened but I'll keep trying.
Hi, here is my icing recipe: www.thegingerbreadartist.com/2014/08/royal-icing.html I use piping consistency for the outline and the pattern, flood consistency for flooding the cookie and a thinned (about 3 second) consistency for painting. I hope it helps.
Hi Renata, I used thinned royal icing as well, but yours was probably too thin. Try a little thicker consistency. If you have a dehydrator it might also help. I use it all the time.

Браво мастерице!

If you keep practicing you will get it for sure!
Hi, very hard to learn with not an explanation. How can you make this easy for us,the people who love your cookies and talent. Thank you
Hi, I have classes on my website with detailed, step by step instructions. Check them out tundescreations.com/
Is that thinned out royal icing you put in the middle?
Yes it is a thin royal icing (about 3 second consistency)
I love your videos, they are so relaxing. Do you use the egg white royal icing to decorate with?
+Yolanda Pierce I am sorry I missed your question! Yes, I use egg white royal icing.
How do you make your RI for the lace? What consistency is that?
The paint-on part is a 3 second consistency
I have some questions.. How do you do the royal icing? Or which recipe do you use? For every step that you do, cause I can't get it right.. Thanks!

Beautiful! Question... How long did the original outline dry before painting with the thin icing, please?
+Deb Dunham I can do it after 5-10 minutes, but have to be careful not to break the line. It's safer to let it dry completely.
Thank you. I can't wait to try it.
hi Tunde, what did you use to make this "white shadow"? i tried watery icing royal but the bakground icing turn spongy; :(

i dont have a dehydrator, but it will be the next purchase! thanks. :) i willl try it again today.
renata galvão You can also put your cookies in front of a fan or use your oven if it has a fan only setting.
Hello . What ingredients you used to make it
Honey gingerbread cookies and royal icing. You can find my recipes at www.thegingerbreadartist.com/

What size tip are you using?
I use PME#1.5, which is equivalent to Wilton #1.
Thank you so much. Your video and work is beautiful. I am going to "try" it :-/
