Correction: The Japanese version can be muted. Once you put in a SIM that's not from Japan, it will enable the option. It was introduced in an update a few years ago.
So, if you use the Japanese version in the UAE with a local carrier, you can silence it like other models.

From the Apple store they are never locked, but if you bring the phone back to India, it may be locked by the local telecommunication authority. This depends from country to country.

Good Video. apple accessories like charging adaptor, wireless chargers etc. are 60 percent cheaper in normal mobile shop than apple store. Why is it? Is it dublicate?
see its not possible to get 60% cheaper for Apple accessories. beware but definitely you might find 10 - 20% cheaper.

I wouldn't recommend to buy a product like a MacBook from Bur Dubai/Deira because those aren't primary products that shopkeepers are targeting to sell. Better to buy it from an authorized dealer or even consider an open box/refurbished unit from an authorized dealer. The repair cost of MacBooks is also way higher and more complex as compared to iPhones so if your MacBook needs repair, you are going to wish you had proper warranty/support for it.

There really isn’t anything called a ‘Dubai model’, its just that you can get them cheaper from Deira/Bur Dubai because they don’t have official warranties or have other regional specs like not having a physical sim slot, or not having FaceTime, etc. The iPhone you get in Japan will be different from the one you get in the US, and because of that, some iPhones will be cheaper than others. I would always recommend buying from an authorized dealer or directly from an Apple Store.
