Aussie include more step by step build orders. This game has a huge learning curve and there are far more casuals that watch this channel than pros. Just a suggestion.
Really enjoyed your commentary bro. Especially going through the basics of the armies strengths/weakness, along with providing useful information for new players. Very entertaining and professional casting!
My girlfriend heard me listening to this when it got intense and thought I was listening to a horse race lmao. Just found your channel today man. Love it! Keep it up!
This match was dynamic but even more fantastic was the pro casting job by Drongo. From horribly mangled colloquialisms to misapplied terms of art, to the singing voice of a preteen schoolgirl firing off “a little too late”, an obscure reference to an early 80s tune, Aussie gives it an excited 110% and will keep you supremely entertained. Turin is also awesome, watch him too, but Drongo will have you in stitches. 5 stars.
If you remember Don artie as English vs Boit as Chinese. that was such a legendary match, went on for 1 hour 10mins. Your Commentary is as always Brilliant. I just hope you also interact with the people that tweet you and comment on your videos.
This is perfect tutorial for English vs English... so much details, so much to learn. Even the patch is much changed, but the thought process and play style is nearly perfect for both
They need to put the Byzantines and the Ottomans in this game . Their campaigns also with characteristic battles such as the battle of Mantzikert on 1071 and the Occupation of Constantinople on 1453. My god that would be awesome!
7:00 you forget to factor the bonus longbow do to light infantry. Longbows are themselves considered as light infantry so you'll have to redo the math.
The thing this game taught me, when you have held an extra town center over your opponent, when they come for it, don't bother pushing your villagers ahead. If Marine Lord had just sent his villagers back to his main, and then let his secondary TC fall.... he would have maintained a tremendous economic lead, which would have changed up the game quite a bit.
@@abdulrahmanq7127 I think it's way harder to push into the main base because of the reinforcement being right there. If he just bit the bullet and build some defenses (walls, outposts) in his main base to escort the villagers back in he would have been a much more comfortable position.
Start by raiding the ai, then raid with 2 control groups while keeping villager and military production up. It's all in finding your hotkey/control group setup. I mean I cant do this shit either, but I got much better at it comoared to some time ago.
How do they control the units like that? My guys kill the one guy I told them to, then all scatter around targeting random stuff, or running over to throw torches on a farm. They keep theirs together like beautiful schools of fish.
How do you get the "set up camp" ability on archers ? 11:13 (for reference).. I tried all upgrades on English archers but I still don't get that ability
Remember though that Rams are expensive (equivalent in total resources to about 3 longbows, 6 if you only count the wood). The idea of a single Ram is to attract the arrows from the enemy towncenter, which in that regard 1 ram is same as having 2 or 3. So you want a single ram to negate the arrows from the towncenter, and then you want to win the longbow war, which means putting your resources in more longbows than your opponent instead of wasting them on additional rams. If you arrive with 2 or 3 rams, and less longbows than your opponent, all your longbows will shortly be dead and the villagers will torch your rams. An absolutely great game by incredibly skilled players :)
how come I dont see additional town center build option apart from the 1 I get at start in skirmish.. Is it just me or the Town center build option is available only on multiplayer
I watch these to get better because my friend whoops my ass every time. However, here lately I’ve been getting better from these and my friend has ALMOST got his ass whooped lol!
I would have liked to see MarineLord harass the mills with his early cav instead of pushing them into the longbows, could have made a bigger difference
If Artie went in with 2-3 rams immediately he would've one that engagement much faster, would've been interesting to see the effect that would have on the game.
What I'm wondering is how they do a second TC this early... or at all honestly. In AOE 3 a TC is 500 wood and pros don't go for it often, and even then only in the third age. 400 wood and 300 stone is just insane... By my naive noob calculations, it must be punished every single time
@@kirillnikonov6662 as the English it doesn't make much sense to have a 2nd TC in the 2nd age since you get one as a landmark, but as any other nation the earlier the better as long as you don't ruin your eco too much since you'll overtake your opponent pretty quickly and get to that magic 80 villagers way faster with double villager output
@@kirillnikonov6662 note how it was placed away from his main base and behind him - can't punish what you aren't aware of. not like he announced to his opponent he was building it and if you sneak it in and get away with it while effectively defending, well you have a huge advantage
you already established how many longbows you need to kill a longbow, going horsemen to prevent the scoot and shoot while your bows can push up is next level, no?

watching this is like me watching premier league, no way i could play like this, way too much going on but entertaining to watch
If you practice you can play like this, the thing is, it requires hundreds of hours that people with real jobs cant afford.

couldnt imagine how stressful to play a game like this, it feels like that my life span has been shorten by five years just watching the replay.
This is as great and professional as casting gets! No doubt Drongo looking to be the main tournament caster of AoE4 for many many years to come!

There's a blacksmith right there dude. Blind Aussie strikes again.

@@AussieDrongo you should use F2 or F3 to select all technology buildings at once. Then you don't have to search for the blacksmith or the University!
Top tier commentary. Both entertaining and informative.

Glad I heard about this match up. Well not so much the match but the caster.
Was worth a watch.
Good cast man.
ty for posting

I watched SC2 for years, Marine Lord is a pro at playing defensively. He was in his element this entire game.
Wow best game I've seen ever. GG and awesome casting!
Oh my gosh, that 2nd Mangonel from behind at 30:05 ! So good!

Love the move through the TC at 1:16
Saw that too!
That was great, good casting dude! Actually an interesting Esport to watch!
My god, this commentary makes me want to see a tourney live so bad. Exciting gameplay and commentary!

Boy, do I have some good news for you
I won my first game today off the back of this strategy man!!! Thanks Drongo! Aussie love from Perth mate!!
Great match and a little solo performance from Drongo towards the end!
"Ladies and Gentlemen" is quite an optimistic take on your viewing demographics
Drongo is the Bruce Mcavaney of AOE 4 commentary. Love your work mate. Very entertaining!

Longbowman -> light ranged infantry
Longbow bonus -> against light melee infantry
"it's like the spanish flu just hit them" LOL
I'm glad to see the effort and focus on maintaining the Network of Castles buff with these guys. I try to keep it going but often forget on pushes. :)
ahaha Aussie_Drongo really loves the esthetics of the farms. he said like 3-4 times DONT ThEY LOOK COOL LOOK AT ThEM AND ZOOMING IN lmao

If Marine Lord had just sent his villagers back to his main, and then let his secondary TC fall.... he would have maintained a tremendous economic lead, which would have changed up the game quite a bit.
Then the opponent would push in further. Endangering the main eco and tc

the commentary on this match is top-notch!

Maybe if Don made more rams when he as pushing towards the first base, that would've changed a lot.

Yo @Aussie_Drongo are you going to do a video on the upcoming patch for aoe 4? It would be sick if you could do 1.
Once we have patch notes you can indeed expect a video ASAP :)

I'm curious to know why marinelord opted not to take the third sacred site, despite having all three secured.

Incredible 1v1 game
Drongo not realizing who marinelord is :D
Meanwhile.... people working at McDonald's and getting frustrated they can't multitask the orders coming in.
This should definitely be on Xbox, the Xbox officially supported mouse and keyboard last year so that shouldn't be an obstacle at all.
Takes me back to MSN gaming zone lol
not killing those 3 trebuchets and the wall hole costed him the game, don artie was doing very well till that point
Hm is marine lord the brother of heromarine I think yea mixing 2 rts players but seriously does marinelord play sc2
