@@SkySoFew yeah, I don’t mind it but sometimes people make videos unnecessarily long to get more ads in. And I have TH-cam premium, but I know some videos you get ads and a sponsor and 4 mins in you haven’t even learned a thing the title talks about.

@@SkySoFew certain you tubers I like I’m fine sitting through their sponsored videos. Like the Doo gives me such good content I don’t mind getting a raid shadow legends sponsor I know he has bills to pay. I might be tempted to take 6k for a quick raid sponsor if I was a youtuber, but he makes good content. Some peoples high view top list videos are sheer inflated minutes just for ad revenue.
WARNING for anybody who uses an external hard drive, unplug the hard drive before rebuilding the database on the PS5. When I left the hard drive plugged in, the database rebuild left some of my games corrupted and I couldn’t play nor delete them.
Edit: From what I can tell, it seems to be only PS4 games that you’ve transferred from internal storage to external storage that end up becoming unplayable. So if you’ve never transferred games from internal to external, you should be fine, but as of today (04/13/21), Sony has announced updates being released very soon that will supposedly fix these external storage issues.

Yeah I got my games corrupted too I wished he said that in the video to unplug the hard drive before rebuilding the data base

It also helps hitting up option 3! When I called PlayStation because I was having a couple freezing issues, the guy said that not a lot of people know but hitting that option usually can help resolve quite a bit of the systems issues. There’s updates that don’t get picked up right away and when you run that option, it recovers missed updates. Has been a big help for me!!

Worked a treat for getting rid of those uninstalled games that were still showing their tiles to the left on the home screen.

Rebuilt the database just to get a game off the main menu that i deleted months ago....it worked!

Restore licenses in your accounts settings also fixes that
Just delete and download it and delete it while its downloading and that should work too

On PS4, it usually pulls most games out of your folders. I’d have to spend like an hour organizing my games again in the folders afterwards.

The only problem I have is when sometimes I put it on rest mode, the screen turns green and it completely shuts off
@@adamsh1 You Shouldnt put your PS5 in Rest Mode Alot of People are Having Probems With it.
@@TheAkamoe33 been using rest mode on both PS5’s in our house since December with external drives on both. I read that in the beginning of PS5 release. Zero issues with rest mode for me.
@@adamsh1 same for me. System shuts its self off in rest mode sometimes. They need a patch ASAP shouldn’t still be happening 6 months after launch

@@empirezz2728 I haven't run into any issues after doing this. Other than Call of Duty Modern Warfare compatibility not working. The errors and games closing randomly haven't happened.

Did this for kids ps4 also some years ago. All sorts of problems. Went through a checklist. Cleaned it inside out. Messed around with network settings. Finally the DB rebuild solved all issues
It works, especially when playing online. Before, it was lagging so bad and then I found out about this method. Now there’s no more online gaming lag as before. Oh technology.
Don't do this if you're not having problems. It won't do anything other than risk causing problems you didn't previously have.

Only reason why it loads fast is because a community member fixed everyone's load speed on gta. I'm not saying the ps5 wont load it up fast anyway, but that is a really big reason.

You're kind of right but then wrong because the fix and the loading times that the guy fixed was only for the PC version of Grand theft Auto not for any PlayStation game.

Remember doing this on the ps3 a bunch. Bonus it used to set it to SD resolution.
Makes sense. All it's doing is repatriationing the disk so its easier and more efficient for the HDD to read the data. Kudos on the tip!

This procedure was a recommended fix for PS4 as well. I wonder though, if no issues, do you recommend doing this from time to time anyway?

@@brisk3699 It doesn't delete anything. Just refreshes your system which improves the overall performance.

if you are downloading a lot of games and switch them, like, you download god of war and after you finish it you delete it and download uncharted, yes it is recomanded to do it

Sometimes I have to repeatedly press the on button for a minute to turn it on. I'm not sure why that happens but it happens often so hopefully this will correct that issue

It use to scramble all my content on my PS3, like all my photos would be all scrambled up in one folder.
The same with any music I had downloaded onto my PS3 & any video that was downloaded as well.
I did this today and my performance improved yesterday
This fix no audio sometimes, slow internet getting on the ps5 , I recommend this doing ones weak
I actually used this because I had the rest mode problem. I selected update system software and now works fine..

so its like defrag for the ps5 neat. i might do that with mine from time to time, like quarterly maintenance alonv with dusting
My ps5 problems have been with the controllers, drifting and becoming unresponsive while I get wrecked in game.
Something I tried for stock drift on my Dualsense was pulling the stick out (Just like clicking R3 but instead of pushing, you're pulling.) It'll feel like it got pulled out of its socket. You'll notice it feels a bit rough to rotate and has some resistance. Just start gently rotating it until the resistance is gone. Click R3 back in. That fixed it for me.

So many reports of this. My dualsense is fine for now but feel like its only a matter of time
Ong, when I play the controller will lag really bad, cod for example when I move it takes like a second or 2 to respond and it's really damn annoying same goes for all the other games. Idk why it lags to respond.
What monitor do you use
My ps5 did this by itself once, it turned itself off and back on and started rebuilding the database, it was scary because my external drive was connected and was playing a game from it, I'm fairly certain it was downloading as well. Luckily everything was fine.
I rebuild the database once a week, because I lost a ps4 pro to a hard drive crash. This is mandatory, especially if you're constantly deleting and installing games
My PS5 performs fine, but when a game loads, the console becomes really loud, like the sound of R2-D2 screaming. I'll try this anyway, great video!
What’s the monitor you’re using
My PS froze on me the other day, couldnt even turn it off so i held the power button and it beeped twice but it just shut the whole system down, I didn't think it done anything else 😂 thanks 👍
