People asking why move softball and canoeing to Okc have never been to Okc and don’t know that team USA softball is headquartered in Okc and the canoeing and rowing Train there so it makes perfect sense
@@WPGJetsf3sion2008 It is not like they have either of the venues for it. LA has larger softball stadiums than San Diego. Plus there are only a couple whitewater courses that meet Olympic standards in US, with OKC the closest one, the other is in Charlette NC.
I always hated what they did to the Coliseum when they added that viewing deck and VIP section a few years ago. They should get rid of it and give the Coliseum a proper renovation before the games.
The stadium had to be modernized in order to stay relevant and useful. It needed to adapt, and USC did a fabulous job of doing that and honoring the architectural history of the venue. They completely restored the arches and peristyle and removed additions that were added in the 80s. The renovation AND restoration cost $350 million.

LA will also need to share visuals of what the city will look like when they clean it up for those two weeks. Dont let the foreigners know what its really like.
Paris has SEVEN stadiums allocated to soccer for their games, and also the stade de france for rugby. All venues had capacities over 35000. Where are they going to find that many venues in relatively close proximity? Sofi is out for swimming, Rose Bowl is iffy due to field size. They have the Galaxy's stadium. Snapdragon in San Diego? Allegiant in Vegas? Where else?
Bring it back to St. Louis. We were the first location where the olympics were held in the United States. Also, we don't have traffic as thick as syrup.
At first I thought he said "Oakland in the city" and I was like "Why? That's pretty far?" Then I played it back and he said Oklahoma City and I was like "JFC that's half the continent away."
Thats just not smart. We have a massive football stadium, instead of playing something that needs a big field there, lets do swimming there instead of a smaller arena
@davidnelson7719 all the other cities who initially expressed an interest in the 2024 games pulled out of the process, leaving just Paris and LA On 31 July 2017, the IOC announced Los Angeles as the sole candidate for 2028, enabling Paris to be confirmed as host for 2024. Both decisions were ratified at the 131st IOC Session on 13 September 2017.
I'm writing that the Olympics will take place in L.A. in the year 2028. the television series DALLAS's 50th anniversary will also take place in the year 2028.

It would be more logic and organized if canoeing and softball be in San Diego

thank you for showing one pic
Traffic is gonna blow so much harder and I live in LA
agreed! that's the main reason I went to Paris instead of LA
Well, your city's mayor just said it would be a "no-car" games. Figure that out.
Facts man facts

Softball is being added to the Olympics?
yes, Baseball/Softball will be in 2028
the Americans will not be able to surpass these Olympic games in France....it was just unforgettable!
swimming @ sofi? thats totally ridiculous

Basically any college football stadium?
The host of the LA 2028 will be an next 4 years in Summer Olympic Games.
Okay Kamala
@@ImionsaeXwb77 Awesome.
Kinda a big miss hosting the opening ceremony at Sofi, it should be in the coliseum with its history. Never really been a fan of Sofis design
I want to be there !!!!!!!!!!!
Its gonna be more traffic
Which stadiums they use for soccer?
Looks like the Rose Bowl.
who asked for the order of track and swimming to be changed? no one. your silly stadium issues shouldn't mess with tradition
I’m just worried the opening ceremony is gonna be even worse and cause more controversy than the Paris 1 did.
what conbtroversy?

Softball and canoeing need to go to Oklahoma??? Why??
Yeah you really cant have "Los Angeles 28" logos anywhere not in LA county. So unfair to the athletes to not be with all the other Olympians

there is no venue for canoe slalom in California, so they did a nationwide search, and OKC has a softball venue
@@danielzhang1916 California can't build a canoe slalom course? Everything else is fake in California, why not make a man-made one?
Thats sucks for those fans and athletes
Will Cornhole, Darts, and Pickleball be added to the 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles?
No but Uno will be
So… what’s the mayor doing about the crime and homeless?
people keep talking about the homeless like it will affect the games.
He'll be sending you an email for all your suggestions. I bet you have some great ideas.
What is the world going to think when they view the homeless im camping in downtown LA...
Thats just not smart. We have a massive football stadium, instead of playing something that needs a big field there, lets do swimming there instead of a smaller arena
Track and field is more exciting than swimming because it has more variety. Giving swimming the last week is a mistake.
Oklahoma City?!
Jordan Chiles must return the bronze medal which does not belong to her.
Sure buddy
Usa is only hosting bacause no country wants to host the games due to the expense
Really? Nobody? Not one other country wants to host the Olympics? Interesting take...

Nah how are you hosting in LA when you can’t even take care of the homeless in California that’s so backwards if we allow that
It's good thing LA isn't hosting the 2026 World Cup anymore. Our public transit is so bad.
