stress can also cause a flowering plant to develop the yellow nanas and will then self pollinate and develop seeds in a last attempt to cultivate itself before death. I deal with 1 house that likes to over stress towards the end which results in a forced early harvest...he never listens 😂 these plants are much more intelligent than tictok users thankfully, so we can cultivate something with some brain cells 👍
Leave out door females with one or two branches at the end of the year. They will get stressed and may produce feminized seeds for tge next year. But be aware those plants will be sensitive to the same stresses.
when I leave my clones in the dome way to long it seems like the stress can turn them male. If I grow my buds to long they can start to get a couple seeds, where as the ones I cut down when ready have 0 seeds. Has ANYONE else ran across this.
To ensure all my seeds were female, I always shocked the flowering plants with a light change sometime around half way through the cycle. Worked every time without fail, and ensured only a few seeds rather than too many.
Auto flowering or landrace? If the lite is on 24hrs a change means turn it off overnight then back on. This doesn't apply to auto flowering 3 month indicas.
i am a wild breeder , i get weird plants.. i grow them close together and fully surprised year after year that cannabis comes in such variaty.. in shape and habbits.. some get tons of seeds growing and one next to it , none.. its weird cause well the females are pollen receptors when flowering .. yet these plants have tactics you wont believe, they can get 10 cm in height and still produce lots of pollen, they can get 5 meters like tree and just refuse to flower.. its a long learning curve and the plants will scare the crap out of you year after year..
Says; "So you DON'T have to wait Months to determine the Sex.." and then immediately explains how you have to wait Months in order to determine the Sex😆.
The entire cycle, when grown indoors shouldn't take more than 14-16 weeks. I have often started my seedlings on a flowering cycle of light and have produced some outrageous, though small of course, females. Great technique for space-conscious growers. They end up being 12-18 inches tall and solid buds.
I was under the impression that an all female field will produce infertile seeds. If this is true, and the male plant is necessary to produce fertile seeds in the female buds then eliminating the males will produce a crop that can't be replanted. Seeds would need to be purchased yearly
So last time I grew one, pretty sure it was male, no buds. But i did get actual flowers grow on it. Small whitish ones... hope it wasn't female, chucked it out!
In the video they said that Feminized seeds do not produce male Plants .I just got a Male plant from seeds that were Feminized.....Then How did this Happen?
In theory, since it wasn't pollinated by a male it only has female genetic material and thus should produce female seeds. Although some speculate the resulting seeds may have a greater chance of producing hermaphroditic plants. Either way, it's worth experimenting if one of your feminized plants herms and produces viable seeds.
If you want to be sure, wait until your plant is strong enough to cut a clone from, then grow the clone just long enough for it to make decent roots, then change to 12 hour light cycle for the clone only. It will either try and flower or start growing the sacks right away because it thinks summer is over. It's not going to yield anything so you can kill it and toss it out, but you'll know what your main plant is going to do when the time comes. There is no way to tell before the plant itself shows you. So trick the plant into showing you lol. It absolutely works.
Wait so if your plant got long white hairs in the areas but also got a small ball on the opposite side but same branch, it can't can't a hermi bc they don't grow on the same branches?
They can Herm because the seeds are inbred F1s. If you eventually kept breeding them out past F3 then all the Hermies would disappear. Those F4's will not produce as much yield as a F1 will though. That is why we use F1 seeds mainly. Also because having some Hermies can help save a Strain if the Male & Female Parent Plants no longer exist. I believe that's the case anyway. Someone correct me if I am wrong please, I am always willing to learn more.
Okay, but the feminized seed produced a plant that is VERY different than other females of the same strain I've grown previously, and the diagrams aren't as helpful as actual photos would be.
It would have been nice to "show" ACTUAL photo's of the distinguishing areas mentioned in the video versus cartoon drawings.. 🤔
Agreed, or even cartoon drawings of the make and female parts
That little thing they showed for a male bud didn't look like anything
No 🤬, it would have been extremely helpful 🧐, but still, it was informative 👍🏻

What's the earliest you can tell the sex I was told you can tell the sex just after the seedling stage 🤔 I really don't want to waste my time on males
They lied. It takes at least a few weeks in the vegetative state

When 6 or 8 inches, change light period. outside use a bucket. bout a week. they show ya. pull up the boys and go back to longer light.
How did they know for the seed the base
They can Herm because the seeds are inbred F1s. If you eventually kept breeding them out past F3 then all the Hermies would disappear. Those F4's will not produce as much yield as a F1 will though.
