ROBBIE read this please ☺️ I’ve been supporting arsenal for 25 years. Worst season under Wenger and maybe forever, 3 away wins? Knocked out of fa cup by Nottingham forest! lost at HOME to Ostersunds! 30 points behind Manchester City, arsenal have never been behind top spot that far. Wenger needs to leave he should of left last season after winning 3 after cups in 4 season which is pretty good, I know other teams would of loved. Wenger has no answers on the pitch, the players probably don’t carry out his tactics, they can’t pass! They walk around, they fall apart after concede 1 goal! Seriously? I think our last home match against Manchester City was a shambles he didn’t even make any substitution! What’s that about? & after the game he didn’t go and answer questions for about 30 mins, he was in his office in the dressing room? 😒 honestly I loved Wenger I’ve been around long enough to see what it feels like to compete for the title, after the champions league defeat to Barcelona he should of left, if we had an ambitious owner like Roman Abramovich he would of probably been sacked then. So the end this... Wenger needs to leave at the end of the season because he doesn’t have any ideas or any motivation, the players have been hearing his voice to long, they are too comfortable, we need a head coach to come in and give the players a new voice and new tactics. Hope 2019 will be a better year for us THE ARSENAL!

    I'm Stan Kroenke.
I sack Wenger but publicly state that "Arsenal have come to a mutual agreement with Wenger that he walks away from the club now, with Thierry Henry as the caretaker manager."
The plan would be to then have someone lined up in the summer, and give them the option of having Henry as the assistant manager. That's if they would want him since most managers come with many of their previous coaching staff members.

Mauricio Pochettino on Arsene Wenger...“If your own fans didn’t want you, like you, there is no point to carry on working because you are going to damage first of all your company, your club,” he said in response to some admittedly pointed questioning.

I think the way he handled the stadium move, lack of finances and the loss of all his best players from 2007 to about 2013 was quite impressive, whilst keeping us in the Champions League consistently - most managers probably couldn't have done that. Since then he's been trash and the club hasn't shown any sign of progression.

    Mr. Wenger
As of 2 March 2018, you are relieved from your services for Arsenal Football Club. The board and myself would like to thank you for your services and all the great memories you have provided Arsenal Football Club with.
(I know it’s been longer than recent performances but I’m trying to be professional in giving him the sack.)
Due to recent performances, we have decided to revamp our vision and look elsewhere for a manager that can instill a new winning mentality to this club. In order to keep up with the ever changing game and stay competitive, we have to be willing to change and keep up with the demands of the game.
We wish you success in your future endeavors and we will always be appreciative of everything you have done for this club.

    I'm a 44 year old gooner from Serbia,Belgrade.
I started to follow English football back in those days when Arsene came to the club and brought a new style of playing. I instantly fell in love with Arsenal. So I do remember those days. I undestand that he made a lot of momey for the club,we have a new stadium(personally I think that Highbury was better for the fans) ..but in terms of how we look on the pitch ,there is nothing good or new. So to cut it short,I would let him stay until the end of this season, only for those moments back in the days. When we had a team.. See you in Milano

IF YOU LOVE FOOTBALL IT HURTS TO SEE ARSENE WENGER SUFFER LIKE THIS.
All those years ago when I was in Tottenham's youth team, one specific spectator was guaranteed to attend the local derby.
You would see him standing on the sidelines at Arsenal's London Colney training ground, studying every kick and move.
I wouldn't say he had an aura but you were never in any doubt that he knew everything there was to know about football. His name was Arsene Wenger.
This was the late 1990s and he was relatively new to our country but I'll never forget how Arsenal's manager, regardless of how busy he was, would make a point of attending these games. He was a man in total control of his club and the results he achieved were spectacular.
Wenger changed the face of English football. When he arrived, there was nobody like him and he revitalised the league. He was the shining light for a new era and those teams he moulded to win two Doubles and then go unbeaten in 2003-04 were among the best we have ever seen.
After that, he kept them in the Champions League places, without spending a great deal of money, for 21 straight seasons.
Arsenal's foreign owners can't have been too disappointed with the return he gave them for their investment, in the same way fans can't be upset about the trophies he has won. It's important to make that point.
The day Wenger leaves Arsenal, the only word you will hear said about him is 'legend'; the supporters will want to talk about those early years, how he became a legendary figure, and the only arguments will be about which end of the stadium his statue goes.
Some of the treatment he has received has been very disrespectful. He has won the FA Cup three times in four years but that isn't enough for some people.
How can that be? At the vast majority of other clubs, you would be viewed as the greatest team in history if you did the same.
To say it's not enough for Arsenal is disrespectful to Wenger and to the competition itself. All the top boys are desperate to get their hands on the FA Cup and to do what he did was unbelievable, really. It's an achievement that should have them dancing in the streets.
But watching the events of the past week, when Manchester City have blown them away twice, I just find this whole situation so very, very sad.
What it means is they are now finding it hard to challenge for the top four and the more that they fall away, the more it leads to fans who idolised Wenger losing respect for him. He never had the presence on the touchline of Sir Alex Ferguson but everybody admired Wenger.
If you love football, you won't take any pleasure from seeing him in such an unpleasant situation.
He was a top manager; he is a top manager, but I can understand why - when Arsenal aren't competing in the positions they used to - there is a desire to see change in the man who changed everything.
    -Peter Crouch.

When I was going to Calabar High school in Jamaica playing for my first to third form class it was strictly black boots, that mentality stuck with me when I moved to the U.S at 15. Playing soccer/football and american football throughout HS and College I always wore black boots because I didn't see the value in making a spectacle of myself nor my team. I let me hard work do the job not fancy boots. It's just a mentality thing that was instilled in me, maybe these players coming through the academy need to be stripped down to basics. Given some off-brand shoes no one ever heard of before graduating to an Adidas or a Nike.

Thierry has got to take over!! Look at Guardiola when he took over at Barca he won the treble in his first season after only managing their B team and he put their best midfielder Busquets in the first team! Zidane was only assistant before he took over at Madrid and he's won back to back champions leagues in his first 2 seasons as manager, gave young players like Asensio a chance. If Thierry got the job everyone would step up especially the young players, Nketiah etc would get more of a chance!

Robbie and DT, an excellent debate as usual! I have been a massive fan of Arsene Wenger over the years and I also remember how average we were under Terry Neill, Bruce Ricoh and George Graham, so I am very grateful for what we have had with Arsene. Reluctantly right now I’m pretty sure we need a caretaker manager until the end of the season. The team can’t perform for him and Arsene’s own confidence has gone, he’s behind the times and personally he’s looking very ill. I think he is suffering from a very lonely form of workaholism. A fresh start may still deliver us the Europa league Title and Champions League football next season. He still go with dignity, we love what he has done for our football and club. If he is too addicted or stubborn to go now he should at least announce that he will leave in May so everyone can get behind him for the redeeming final push for Europe! Come on you gunners!

Great podcast as always guys. I have a really bad feeling Arsene Mugabe is gonna see out his contract.. Although I think the best thing to do is let him at least complete this season, but then he defo has to go. I don't think we will get past Milan and we could finish 7th or even 8th in the league I reckon. Also, as much as we all love Jack Wilshire and he is the only one showing any heart, but realistically he is no Cazorla or Vieira and never will be.. I won't be that sad if we lose him or Ramsey, same for Iwobi & Xhaka. I'd get in new blood, there's plenty of good options; Goretska, Nzonzi, Seri, Lemar, Carvalho, are possible ideas. Along with a new defence, (Kos & Nacho are getting old now, the rest aren't good enough judging the last 2 seasons) and of course new coaching staff and a new manager, all of this would give us a fresh start. Remember the 80's & 90's we had staff like Rice, Wilson, Armstrong, Graham etc all ex players in the coaching staff.. We need that heartbeat back.. Get the likes of Seaman, Keown, Campbell, Vieira, Henry etc back in the club, true winners, true Gooners!! Its an absolute no brainer!! #COYG

Football is about beauty, pleasure, happiness, self-expression, character, maturity, hope and loss. Ethics, even. Arsene Wenger understands this, unlike so many others involved in the game. It's also about pain, deep aesthetic pain, especially when things go badly as they have been going in the last little while. But despair, disappointment, failure, are part of human life, and we feel this most deeply because football is, to a certain degree, a concentrated form of human life. It's an intense, open-ended aesthetic endeavour, the outcome of which is never scripted or necessarily dictated in advance. If it were, where would be the fun, the challenge, the daring? Arsene Wenger is a decent man, a loyal man, a man of real integrity. Thanks to him, outside of a museum or a concert hall, I have enjoyed some of the most upfliftingly pleasurable moments of my life watching Arsenal play football. Life is rough and football is rough. This why we feel it so intensely. But all of this will pass. Mr Wenger will make the right decision at the right time because he loves the club.

Depends on other teams of course, but winning games is the point, what results from that we cannot control. But we can still win Europa, but not with this dinosaur in charge

Its sad really. Here is a man who deserves to be revered as a legendary manager, but who will be remembered more for the manner of the end of his career than any achievements. (This coming from a Liverpool supporter).

Robbie there was another man who gave 22 years of his life to this club, winning 3 titles and giving fans some of their best memories: Tony Adams. There’s a reason he isn’t still playing centre back: he was past his best and for the sake of the team he had to give it up. Why is Arsene treated differently to Tony?
