Dan actually came a lot closer to winning then you might think. The Chain Mails were vertically an interesting choice at the beginning, as they and bewilderment can stop second shots, but the tortoise form is definitely a decent card to play into a second shot if you can take the hit and properly follow up. Not being able to drop consecutive taunting laughters was painful for Dan, sense that could have forced Medusa to take free damage (Medusa was in not position to discard any cards), with Medusa’s being out of faints. One thing I definitely would have done differently though is taking Phoenix Form instead of Ox at the end, sense 2 health (or even just some free clones) could have made a huge difference. Still not a great matchup for Wukong, but he has a good chance, especially given the map you chose. Great work on another exciting match!
Having seen this in action, I think I definitely take chainmail over tortoise if I can help it. Of course, chainmail can’t be recurred, so that doesn’t help. Taunting laughters would have been handy with all the boosting Medusa was doing for sure. I like your consistent analysis!
Definitely good game! Very entertaining, and top-notch editing as usual 😎 Can't really describe it as a close match, but I feel it's a byproduct of taking a Gaze of Stone to the face! Wukong is a beast, but you can see his zoning strategy crumble against ranged and multiple-sidekicks heroes. Doesn't help that Medusa has both, together with a clone-killing ability.
Wicked regroups on Medusa, the boosted Gaze was brutal and double boost kinda added insult to injury. Not only is Medusa super strong, Tahmid also outplayed Dan in multiple occasions here. Props to Wukong for tenacity though. gg

Cheers! It was a battle of the titans, but rather uphill for the monkey overall
Dan played brilliantly with his zone play with Wukong! Medusa definitely a bad match up with the boost values but great game with some fun moments!

It was a pretty rough match up for Dan, who I think did a great job pulling it back. But well played on both sides!
Just seen the first turn and might have to stop watching. Poor monkey.
I am not sure that if both attack and defence cards say that you may boost, then its a double boost. Or is it?
Well you resolve the effects in order. The defence during combat effect says boost. The attack effect says boost, so you do it again.
@@RecursionCafe Exactly this
Tortoise Form is so risky against Medusa!
It seems like this game really pushed that point home!
I hate Medusa for all those discards and strong cards =/
Totally understandable.
