I got a free $600 exercise bike. My delivery was late and waited the extra 2 days past the delivery guarantee. I chatted online and asked for a refund, it was instant. The bike arrived the next day. Money is back in my account, and I’m going to hell. Fair deal though
If you request a refund, the money will be returned from the seller to you. not from Amazon. That's why amazon customer service refund so easily. Anyway, PUT A HAND ON YOUR HEART WHEN YOU DO SUCH THING. GOD IS WATCHING YOU!
This is the exact reason I do not sell my products on Amazon. Sellers should reconsider selling on this platform if they do not like their policies. Nobody is forcing them to sell on Amazon.
@@JMGENTERPRISES Awful reply, you ethically shouldn't be doing this to the little guys, big companies who have been ripping people off for years I can understand to a point. ''nobody is forcing them to sell on Amazon'' You're essentially saying it's okay to steal from small businesses here because it's Amazons fault.....
@@ryan795 - You are entitled to your opinion but I do not agree. Sellers know Amazon's policies and the risks they are taking when selling their products on Amazon. There are plenty of other platforms that do not share the same policies. Ebay, Etsy, Market places, personal websites etc. I sell tons of products online but never use Amazon.
Amazon pretty much confirm that you can keep the item it says “We're very sorry your delivery is so late. Although it may still arrive, you can request a refund now”
@@macavalli2619 - I dont know what say. I wasn't lying in my video. I did not have to return my seat and I received a refund. Many others have had the same thing happen. Read the comments.
Generally speaking, the manufacturing costs of items is significantly less than the retailed price. These items are mass produced in China, etc. and then sold off. There are children in China working to create Nike shoes for just (generously speaking) a couple bucks a shoe, and the shoes get marked up ludicrously to $60, $70.. There are many companies enforcing this practice, and Amazon's incredible customer support will always put them in the lead with these situations.
Somehow, sometimes I feel guilty when keeping the product and get a refund. On the other hand; it's not my fault that the item wasn't listed correctly. So actually I didn't get what I really wanted and sometimes the seller still wants you to put effort in it to make a return. In some cases I ask myself: for what? Because that item belongs in the bin. Right away.
Could not agree more. I feel guilty sometimes too but hey, like you said, it was not listed correctly. If sellers do not like Amazon's ways, they should not sell on Amazon.
How long did it take y'all to get your refund back because I experienced this 6 days ago...got a shirt off Amazon & it wasn't as bright as advertise, i issue a refund they said no need to return the item the refund will be put on my card but it's been almost a week and still nothing
You feel guilty 🤣🤣🤣finess the system not and individual I’d understand if it was a small business but a business like Amazon your order isn’t even a scratch to their service
I just wanna say thank you for replying to these recent comments even though this video was made more than a year ago, just goes to show that you’re a pure person. You just got a new sub 👍
@@JMGENTERPRISES you bought off a seller from amazon claimed a refund kept the item cheap at the sellers cost .. scum bag and you are actually coaching people to do the same
Also on certain cheap items (ie $5-$20 depending on the seller), they usually let you keep it if you decide to return them. The reason is that it costs more for them to ship the item back, and therefore it’s not worth it for them to have you send it back. You just have to be careful not to over do it because I’ve heard on the news about people’s Prime accounts getting canceled due to abusive behavior, which consisted of excessive returns.
But who do I talk to the seller? Or Amazon because I want to return my figure that’s is almost 20$ but I’m pretty sure if I contact Amazon they would make me send it back
@@bvttv4419 No. a lot of times when you initiate a return on Amazon, the system will automatically tell you that you can keep it. It won’t do it with all items, but it does it with a lot of items that are around $5-$20.
I sell on Amazon and choose not to offer items through Prime for this exact reason. Shipping services are a clusterf*ck and cannot always be relied on. It just sucks that Amazon allows this because it's usually not the big corporation you're hurting; most times it's the little guys. #Karma
I ordered a gold bond lotion but only because I couldn’t find the bigger size at my Walmart and it’s cheaper to get the bigger size which is “Shaq size” but it was supposed to come in yesterday and it didn’t even come today might just wait for tmr if not then I’ll get a refund it’s only $11
But if you send normal shipping , let’s say 5-7 days, if your customer doesn’t get this item, then they still qualify for a refund so you lose out on that money anyway. Prime or not
Most of the items sold on amazon (including amazon prime) belong to 3rd party sellers. By getting refund and not returning the item back, you hurt 3rd party sellers, not amazon. Amazon gets richer each day!!!
I agree. Amazon is the behemoth growing richer while 3rd party seller scrape by to make side money. They are so quick to resolve the issue because again they are not losing money. Most of what’s sold on Amazon is not owned by amazon. They are just the logistics and the platform where sellers and buyers come together.
Being an amazon customer service rep for 4 years with different departments ( retail, payments, Escalation, CAP) I highly suggest not to always do this. If the system detects that you always request for returnless refunds it can lead to the banning of your account and other accounts that you will be creating in the future.
so i have a question, if i had an order and it was refunded but then the package came a week and a half later do i still have to return it. on amazon it says refund issued and we are expecting your return
Hey friend, do you know that who is giving you that refund is Amazon and not the owner of the merchandise? Who lost was the owner of the merchandise not Amazon, for your information Amazon should pay that item to the seller of the chair, because it was not the fault of the seller, it was really the fault of the logistics that Amazon hires, in this case the seller lost the cost of the item and the cost of shipping, (because the FREE SHIPING is paid by the seller not AMAZON), that is, AMAZON looked good with you and cheated the seller, because it charges a fee of more than 30% for selling in the platform, an important point to know is that in AMAZON more than 80% of the merchandise is from 3 party sellers, who strangle them for them enrich, next time think about this and do not think you made a good deal, really it What you did without knowing is to help amazon to harm a small entrepreneur.
@@JMGENTERPRISES You should of returned the chair if you're Not paying for it. The seller lost the cost of the item and the cost of shipping. That's like Stealing Right...
It is an Amazon policy and it sucks for us as sellers on amazon. Amazon doesn’t ask us anything they just side with the buyer over 90% of the time. I have a customer that got an item in 7 days instead of the 3 she should have. No fault of mine. Usps fault. Another buyer got it, opened it, decided she didn’t want it anymore. Guess what? Automatic refund. No one asked me anything. I am in the middle of one right now where the customer put her address in Amazon incorrectly and now wants a refund. How is that my fault. Professional sellers on amazon are paying $40/month plus fees on each sale and amazon is just issuing refunds and letting people keep their products with no seller protection. And it also sucks that there are people making videos saying here is how to get free stuff on Amazon.
Sorry to hear about the automatic refunds Amazon has been giving your buyers. That sucks! I sell many products online but have NEVER sold on Amazon because of this policy. They practically always side with the buyer. I sell my products through my websites, ebay, etsy etc which have more seller protection policies in place. I would recommend not using Amazon to sell your products for this very reason. It's a great place to buy but not to sell. Hopefully this video I made will raise awareness and perhaps Amazon will change their policy one day.
@@JMGENTERPRISES thanks. I just started selling on amazon a little over 2 months ago and already 3 returns. Customers change their mind like they change underwear. I sell on eBay also. Wanted to give Amazon a try. People on eBay try to get refunds all the time too. I had one man that bought a “cable” modem and then was upset with me when he opened the package and tried to hook it up to his “DSL”. He didn’t read the description or research if it was right for his needs. He didn’t read my return policy. He removed the oem shrink wrap and took everything out then wanted me to give him a refund. When I denied him he started telling me how eBay needs to screen their sellers better and that I needed to find another line of work. Lol! Maybe they need to screen their buyers better?
The person in this video forgot to mention that not all FBA is Amazons product some are from 3rd party sellers that work hard for a living. In that case it does not hurt Amazon at all but hurts the 3rd party merchant. Amazon still takes their cut from the pick and pack fees also the final value fees of 10%. While the merchant that is selling on Amazon gets reamed.
Let me tell you what actually happened in the background….Amazon send the refund sure…but the business is selling through Amazon, is taking the lost…even tho it’s not their fault, to me the best gesture is, is ask for a return label to send it back tot he business if you are going to keep your money, don’t do thing like this…it’s hurting small business that Amazon don’t give a shit about.
I understand that. But the seller guaranteed seat wouls be delivered on time. I put a $400 deposit down to race which was non refundable. I was disqualified because I didn't have the qualified seat
@@JMGENTERPRISES Once again, it was not the seller's fault. You yourself mentioned that the courier was the cause of the delay. Your video is misleading. You could have filed a claim for damages with the courier instead of blaming the seller. I understand that you were disqualified, but you should have considered these circumstances and made the purchase earlier. The seller should not be held accountable for your last-minute decision. Your video is not helpful; it simply shows others how to take advantage of Amazon sellers. 1. The seller cannot control courier delays. If it was the seller's fault, I would agree, but it was not. 2. You could have opened a claim and negotiated with the seller for another discount or something similar. 3. You could have opened a claim with the courier that caused the delay. 4. You were disqualified, which is unfortunate, but you could have returned the chair and received a refund. Once again, your video isn't teaching anything other than how to harm small businesses on Amazon. I'm glad that Amazon has made changeson the platform, on now the seller goes through every claim before a refund.
See I understand customer service and meeting the criteria, but i feel some people forget there is a lot of small businesses running on Amazon as well, like myself. Sometimes we have delays, unforeseen circumstances especially when you’re at the starting stage of setting up. So many customers take advantage and go straight for the refund road, understandable they’re entitled to it. But it’s so difficult for the small fish to actually make anything from these sales, already suffering huge expenses from Amazon and costs/advertising/packing. Sometimes would be cool if people were just patient or understanding 🤔 what do you guys think? I mean it is what it is, everyone wants to save money where they can. Just from a seller perspective. ( I reward my honest buyers and those who understand with freebies and discounts to compensate), but also been hustled waaay too many times.
I hear what you are saying. That is why I refuse to sell my products on Amazon. I realize they are a big marketplace but I would never sell products on a platform that refunds buyers AND allows them to keep the item.
Well, let me ask you something. Would it be ok if i delayed paying for the item you are selling by a month? I can accept a package being a week or a little more late, but a month is just not acceptable if you are a Prime member that pays for the convenience of free and guaranteed shipping times.
I don’t know why people sell on Amazon. Selling on eBay the buyer is ALWAYS right but there’s at least some things we can do. I don’t have to refund without a return. However I could get a fake or different item returned and there would be nothing I could do. If it was expensive tho I’d threaten legal action against the buyer for defrauding the mail system.
Points to Remember: 1 - Need to be prime member 2. Need to order an item that has a guaranteed delivery date. 3. Your item must be delayed by the carrier (UPS, FedEx or USPS) and have a new scheduled delivery date that is past your guaranteed delivery date. 4. If you item does not arrive within 24 hours of your guaranteed delivery date, contact Amazon through chat and request a refund before it is delivered. It's best to reach out to Amazon via chat once 24 hours has elapsed since your guaranteed delivery date. But also make sure to request a refund before your item is delivered.
I ordered an iPad Air 4 and it got lost in transit so I ordered a replacement. The original iPad just got delivered today, can I keep it or do I have to return it?
When you think you get something for free it always means someone has to pay for it. Things are not just "free" for you. As a full time seller I can tell you we, sellers, see this as "buyers stealing, but we cant do much about it if we dont want negative feedback". Luckily 99.5% of my customers are honest. Still I have been "stolen" by 4-5 buyers the past 12 months. Thats my money, for which I work hard for, for you to have a freakin free seat. Gratz on finding out a new trick
I hear ya. I sell lots of products online as well and have been burned many many times. All part of doing business. Also, this is the very reason I do not sell my products on Amazon.
I feel for you my friend and I totally get your point but I have to be honest it’s not the buyers fault all the guy did was called Amazon and told them that they were late on his package and based on their policy they gave him the package free and a full refund. Now I know it messes up the seller 100% but that’s not the buyers fault your argument is with Amazon. But I totally feel for you and agree with you but don’t take it out on the buyer just because they take up Amazon on their policy. Just my two cents
I was feeling bad, but this video is allowing me to go to sleep in peace. I also appreciate that many of us aren’t willing to sell our birthright like Cain did. Character, integrity is still relevant today in age. I also verify Amazon policy and everything he said is true.
NPCs, bootlickers, and corporate simps out in full force on this one's comments. Thanks for the helpful video. It's always offered the button to get the refund when the shipment is late, on its own, without me having to contact Amazon. Is this video outdated in the sense that they offer the button automatically now?
A delivery estimate is not a guarantee. While Amazon does have that policy, do it too much and they will ban your address and IP and you will never be able to use any Amazon or it’s subsidiaries again.
Unless you have hit so many cases where your packages are late, you won't be able to abuse that policy anyway. I once ordered something urgent and I specifically chose expedite one day shipping for extra cost (paid like 4.99 or something for expedite shipping on top of my prime membership), and UPS failed to deliver it to my office and I missed the day to use the equipment and missed the deadline. And it was a snow day and I went to the office for the whole day waiting for the device. The CSR promptly refunded the full order and let me keep the stuff. Not very expensive thing, probably a hundred bucks worth. I didn't even ask for a full refund, and CSR offered it. I was like, give my 5 bucks of shipping back, she's like, no we'll give you a hundred.
It's not stealing if Amazon refunds your money even though they see it was going to be delivered the next day. I never said I didn't receive the product, I just informed them it was running late past the guarantee delivery date and they issued the refund.
are u serious? the guy was promised to receive the goods by a certain date and amazon failed to fulfill the promise. He did suffer a loss from the fault of Amazon, and rightfully deserves compensation for it. Amazon is stupid enough and more importantly wealthy enough to adopt such a policy where they hand out 100% refund on such cases. Should he feel lucky for it? I think so yea, but I don't think he should feel guilt or shame from it, no way.
@@ythsh exactly. Amazon regularly screws over their sellers and charges exorbitant fees. They screwed me out of $4,000 after they closed my seller account. It's nothing like stealing since it is their policy. i'll screw them every chance I get until I get my $4,000.
Exactly the same thing happened to me when I ordered a Electric Tesla Car from Amazon Prime They refunded me and let me keep the car when it arrived 3 days late Don't you just love Amazon

When I sell on eBay and a full refund is issued, I don't have to pay seller fees, they are refunded. Does Amazon still charge seller fees if a full refund is issued?
I may be wrong, this may only be my opinion, but I think there's always a shaft involved when dealing with amazon. you're either on the good end or the bad end of the shaft, but someone's always getting the shaft.
I am from India. I bought a $5 eye mask and later requested a return because I didn't find the product comfortable. I thought Amazon would come to collect the product and then initiate the refund process. But to my surprise, they refunded the full amount immediately and told me to keep the product.
I had a similar situation like this with wal-mart ordered something from them it was a week late delivery by FedEx contact Walmart told them that FedEx said it was a delay in shipping. Walmart was aware of the issue. They issued a full refund and told me to keep the item if it showed up . I kept that email for reference just in case. a month later Walmart sent me a email telling me they were going to recharge me for that item if i didnt return it in the next 30 days im glad i kept that email they sent me telling me to keep the item if it showed up i emailed it to the correct department that handles that type of issues then it was resolved. So they shipped it to you anyway after the refund is my take away? I am a Prime member and going through this right now. I ordered a Vitamix blender prior to major dental surgery and it was guaranteed to be delivered on the 19th (surgery date). Meanwhile here it is the 22nd and no Vitamix has arrived. After the "We're very sorry your delivery is late" the expected date is now between Feb 20th - 24th. I can't request a refund until the 25th. I've already complained but all I got was a $10 credit towards a future purchase.
Hmm. Sorry to hear about the Vitamix. Yeah, my seat was guaranteed to be delivered on Monday day the 15th, then got rescheduled to be delivered on the 17-18th. On the 17th, I chatted with Amazon and they issued the full refund. On the 18th my seat arrived. Interesting that you can request a refund till the 25th. That's quite a bit longer than your guaranteed delivery date. I would send another chat to Amazon explaining you needed your order on the delivery date as promised. $10 promotional credit is onsurd. Best of luck and I hope your surgery went okay.
Heres a tip as an customer service chat support from Amazon we can only issue a refund once the expected delivery dates get crossed that is why u are issued promo to compensate and please its a request please do not give us no at the end of the chat 😆
As an Amazon seller, I realize many buyers do not know how these things work. That was not Amazon's money sent to you, that was the seller's money! "Free shippings" are paid for by seller. Sellers incur more than you can ever imagine. Amazon charges sellers about 30% of the sales it makes and tries to keep buyers happy and coming back by making these policies at the expense of the seller. Life offers no free lunches, someone is paying for that stuff you choose to keep and I need to let you know it is NOT Amazon! Every seller has an account where monies are kept, Amazon simply dips into that purse and sends it to you. That is why it is so easy for them to do. Money is not theirs!. Karma is real... so make sure you remember that when you start getting the short end of the stick in some of your endeavours. You surely reap what you sow. Nuff said!
Appreciate your opinion but the seller should not have promised delivery by a certain date. I was unable to get my deposit back for racing cause the seat didn't arrive
I tried this because i had a super late package and it was broke, they only offered me discounts and opened up a return, honestly dissapointed in amazon.
Thanks for making this video man, I'll just share my experience here. So I bought a TV stand for $125 on June 11, it said it'll arrive on June 19th which it didn't. Amazon then updated the status saying that it'll arrive late by June 22nd, which did not happen either. By then I have already gotten the prompt saying "you can request a refund", but I decided to wait a bit longer. Around June 27 I grew impatient and contacted Amazon for a refund and got my money back. Then on the 29th I finally received my item. It was pretty sweet that I got it for free, didn't even know Amazon had such a guarantee. On a second note I absolutely loathe those "holier-than-thou" people who feel the need to call you out for not being "ethical". Like dude, this is Amazon's own policy, and even if you feel obligated to repay the money they'll just tell you to keep it.
Congrats on getting the TV stand for free! I am glad you feel the same way about the "ethics." I keep saying, if sellers do not like the policy, they should not sell on Amazon.
People don't understand that Amazon is a multi-billionaire dollar company, and that they don't care about a 500$ purchase. So for a person who works at a normal job and isn't rich, its the best for him to get the money and the item! Like, why not? its their policy afterall...
It’s unethical because it comes from a seller that is already selling their item for super cheap compared to their wholesale cost to begin with to remain competitive, and they have no choice of that price either because it’s either cheaper than everyone else or you do not get the sale at all. No one buys from sellers that are not in the buy box, like ever. So you can sell a widely popular product that sells like hot cakes yet you never get a single sale if you are even a penny more expensive than the cheapest seller, which now is usually always the supplier to begin with that you buy your stuff from wholesale- that’s why Amazon killed business in America, which it’s nice for everyone else but literally everywhere you usually have bought something from your whole life is out of business- everything goes straight to sellers located in China that have never set foot in this country and just send everything that they used to sell to America’s business owners directly to Amazon to ship for them. How is anyone in America, including the companies you work for that pay your paycheck, supposed to make any money to even stay open, let alone to pay you better, when the person they buy from is now selling directly to your customers? You don’t know if it’s a seller from china or the guy up the street that just closed his brick and mortar store because everyone now buys on Amazon when he’s spent a lifetime building what is now nothing. Then someone comes along and does this to you when it’s not your fault at all, and there you are out the money for them item you spent to buy and ship it there and paid for Amazon to ship out to be left with most likely a violation on your account for late shipping which lowers your products in search and you can only get a few before they just suspend your account altogether, then you have nowhere to sell anymore and lost a bunch of money, time and effort building the marketing and sourcing, everything necessary to put a product out. It’s not as easy as these AMAZON FBA videos makes it out to be. On Amazon you are either widely successful, or not at all. It’s most likely going to be not at all because the person you buy your stuff from is already the successful one. They have no choice where to sell. Nobody uses ebay now and other sites have a tiny amount of traffic. Most of the people that actually do get traffic don’t even get the sale, because we all just go to Amazon and get it for a bit cheaper. That’s why it’s unethical.
It may be Amazon's policy but in my eyes it's stealing, you know for a fact that it's coming out of the seller's pocket, not Amazon's and you're still happy to keep the item AND get a refund?! Saying they shouldn't sell on the platform if they dont want this to happen is a shitty excuse for stealing
Well the seller should not have promised me the seat would arrive in time for my scheduled race. I put a $650 deposit down to race my car and needed this seat in order to qualify and race. The date came, no seat arrived and I lost my non-refundable deposit. So yeah...I don't feel bad for keeping the seat with a refund.
Amazon doesn't care about their regular, committed customers, and sellers are fully aware of the practices of Amazon and still choose to use Amazon to sell. So the sellers are just as bad as Amazon. It's not a complex concept, people!
I don't question what you explained but I was just wondering if that's safe to do. Are you sure the seller has no legal way to get his money back by proving that the object has been delivred to your house even if that is off the amazon delays ?
I haven't heard of this happening with sellers. It hasn't happened to me or any others that have had refunds and kept the item. As long as you save the email correspondence between Amazon and yourself, I would say you are good to go. Amazon is the one who issues the refunds and states you can "keep, return or dispose of the goods if and when they arrive."
Dude amazon is a bazillion dollar company... you say anything to the guy that barely speaks english in customer service and you get your way ... they're trained to say yes sir sorry sir right away sir. They arent going to risk bad PR over $1000.. it's just business as usual.
I've had this late arriving happen multiple times, especially during winter 2021. Port closures and mass train robberies may have been a factor, but just guessing. However, Amazon has also sent me duplicate items at least six times, including a GPU and a really nice Atari arcade decoder.
Riiiiight, let's mess up our karma..something that is much more valuable than $500...and then let's go right ahead and teach people to do the same as if finding loopholes in the system is actually justice and morally correct. This video alone has probably cost millions of sellers mountains of money, while you're over there shrugging your shoulders, getting your "likes" and saying "Hey, it's policy." You and all these cheapskates in this comment section are a disgrace
You are a total piece of “digested food that is no longer in a persons body” or you may be totally oblivious to what actually happened here: Seller was not Amazon but a small company from Florida called Safe Racer. UPS (or FedEx) screwed up and did not deliver it as promised. You called Amazon and spoke to a rep somewhere in Pakistan who never even used Amazon. His job is to do everything to make a make Amazon customer (you) happy. The rep just clicked the button, gave you the full refund. So Amazon lost NOTHING and they will keep doing that. Owners (usually working their butts off) at Safe Racer lost around $300 that cost them to buy the seat, around 50 dollars that cost them to ship it. In addition Amazon often decides to keep their fee that in this case was about 70 bucks. People STOP stealing !!!
@@JMGENTERPRISES but you're perfectly fine with screwing sellers like me. You need a morality check. And to think that you're encouraging your subscribers to do the same. It's really sad.

Every time you use this tactic of getting a refund and keeping the item, you're only hurting the seller, often a small business. The majority of Amazon's sales come from sellers that are small businesses rather than Amazon itself. It may be Amazon's policy, but it's an unfair policy that hurts smaller sellers like me. Amazon isn't giving you that money back. We are. We, as sellers, pay Amazon a fee to handle shipping. When they fail on their delivery promise, it isn't our fault, but we lose. Please don't take advantage of this policy just to get something for free, ESPECIALLY on expensive stuff.
@@EL_Fuchsi I wanted to buy the products from amazon for free, I was going to sell them on amazon again, but why did not return any of my products. only refunded $25 product Didn't do it for $200 items I'm so sorry I was disappointed
So Amazon logistics was late to ship and they are quick to issue a refund and let you keep the merch without having to return it once it arrives because the $500 does not come out of Amazon’s wallet. That $500 came out of a private seller’s wallet. The private seller gets stuck with losing $500 even though it’s not their fault, it’s Amazon’s logistics fault. But I guess as long as you got something for free -all is good for you! the right thing to do would be receive the refund and return the item. But since it’s not required no fault to you. Amazon should make it a requirement if a buyer wants a full refund, to return the merchandise especially when it’s $500.
I once order a squishmallow on a Thursday because I was having stress and panic attacks it promised to be delivered Friday. I waited patiently and thought that it would be delivered Over the weekend but it said it was running late and said my package was lost and I could not track it because the relabel with a new tracking number. So it gave me the option for a refund. As a costumer I don’t go looking for free stuff on Amazon. I genuinely pay for it like everybody else.
Damn I wish I knew about this sooner... Amazon delivery times have been garbage lately to the point I considered canceling my prime membership since they can't deliver on time but if their policy is to refund late item that changes everything....

You should be fckikn ashamed , those sellers on Amazon are just trying to earn a livelihood and earn for the family. Scum suckers like #JMG ENTERPRISES take advantage of this and abuse the policies placed for the general customers. Not all items are eligible for that and some customers are taking advantage of it. For those who keep on doing it even just an hour or a day delay in delivery, sellers are the one who are suffering. Sometimes, it's Amazon's partner carriers who mess up. Shame on you.
You are entitled to your opinion. However, sellers know the risks and policies of Amazon if they choose to sell on their platform. There are plenty of other platforms they can sell their products on if they do not agree with Amazon's policy.

We had a delivery that was lost in transportation. Went through these steps and was given a full refund. Three days later the item shows up at our doorstep. Great, free item. I was refunded for an item that was not expensive but I never received it, so although it said delivered I never got it so they did refund me, but days later I just happened to notice something under the bushes and it was my item! It was practically hidden so I could not know it was delivered, in the end I got it for free.
I my expirience with them I have learned that they do send you used things as new even though you paid for brand new and there is different lower price for used,
I work at an Amazon return center. A lot of returns get sent back out as new items all the time. Amazon doesn't give us enough time to actually process the items. We have to process 30 returns in an hour, which is ridiculous. Most of us just look at the box, and if it's in good shape we send it back out as new.
Yeah, it can take 3-5 days to credit back to your same payment method. As long as you got a confirmation email from Amazon that the refund has been issued, you are good to go!
@@Otondabeat - Yes. Package was suppose to arrive on the 15th, then new delivery estimate was the 17th-18th. I requested a refund on the 17th and got it. Then item was delivered on the 18th.
I'm watching this video because in my case I ordered an item that didn't get delivered by the date which with Prime was 2-3 days shipping iirc but with the winter storms here in Texas they got held up for more than a week and was then given a timeline of between 3-5 more days and then it still didn't arrive. Once they missed the date Amazon said it went missing and may still get delivered and offered to give a refund or a free replacement for the item. I picked the replacement because I still want the item and now I have a new order for the same item in my orders list while the older order for the item is still there with a yellow button saying "View return label & instructions" which says I can take the item to a Whole Foods associate for free shipping which makes me think they're saying return it if you get it. Now I'm thinking do I have to return the old order if it ends up getting delivered someday else they might charge me for the replacement or is it just optional and I can forget about it even if I get the old order and want to keep it as a backup.
Hi :) When you process replacement or even refund online or over the phone, a return label and retrocharge will be generated regardless the issue. However, if item wasnt delivered and held by carrier for a week - you can try calling the carrier to schedule another delivery attempt but if you already have replacement or refund, usually what we tell customer is to keep the item if it will still be delivered but it depends on the cost of the item, its auto generated and you would have to call coz agent will see that if you need to return or not. I hope this helps!
Yes, it works dude! I recently bought an item that doesn't work at all brand new in the box, the problem with my electronic that I bought was it does not turn on and doesn't hold a charge while the charging cable was plugged in. I got a refund a for a broken/defective item which I have to wait a few days. Plus? I got to keep the broken/defective product and save my messages between me and Amazon customer services.
When you do that it comes out of a sellers pocket if you don’t wanna go to hell stay away if it really takes long like a month delay than maybe you can or if it’s sold by a company like apple or some big companies then who cares
I know Amazon allows people to scam them of goods and money! Amazon is so RICH they work differently from all other Companies/Web sites etc being a Prime member myself they can be very graceful generous.
This is why they take a picture of dropping off the item. Karma is real and lying isnt good. So eventually doing this type of thing will catch up with you and also causes prices to go up for everyone
You are missing the point of the video. I never lied. I was sent a message by Amazon informing me I could request a refund if my package was not delivered by a certain date. That date came and went. I then requested a refund as per their instructions. The Amazon rep issued me the full refund even though he could tell by tracking that it would be delivered the following day.
Your number one mistake is assuming that morals and capitalism go together, they don't. The very nature of marketing is to manipulate customers into buying something by stretching the truth (e.g. McD's big mac looks nowhere near as big as the real deal). Amazon doesn't give a flying f-- if you lie, the only thing they care about is making profit. And if you feel offended about telling lies, then frankly that sounds like a "you" problem.

Most of the items sold on amazon (including amazon prime) belong to 3rd party sellers. By getting refund and not returning the item back, you hurt 3rd party sellers, not amazon. Amazon gets richer each day!!!
Amazon makes HUGE money! Amazing!
I agree. Amazon is the behemoth growing richer while 3rd party seller scrape by to make side money. They are so quick to resolve the issue because again they are not losing money. Most of what’s sold on Amazon is not owned by amazon. They are just the logistics and the platform where sellers and buyers come together.
i always have to look up how to do this because they make it so hard to get a refund when u mess up like you really have to search to talk to someone.
They do make a bit of a challenge getting help.
Being an amazon customer service rep for 4 years with different departments ( retail, payments, Escalation, CAP) I highly suggest not to always do this. If the system detects that you always request for returnless refunds it can lead to the banning of your account and other accounts that you will be creating in the future.

"Sometimes would be cool if people were just patient or understanding" What incentive is there to pay for Prime Shipping then?
I don’t know why people sell on Amazon. Selling on eBay the buyer is ALWAYS right but there’s at least some things we can do. I don’t have to refund without a return. However I could get a fake or different item returned and there would be nothing I could do. If it was expensive tho I’d threaten legal action against the buyer for defrauding the mail system.
Points to Remember:
1 - Need to be prime member

A delivery estimate is not a guarantee. While Amazon does have that policy, do it too much and they will ban your address and IP and you will never be able to use any Amazon or it’s subsidiaries again.
Yeah, I have heard this can happen. It is why I've only done it a few times.
That’s why you have to use your neighbors or vpn
@@DLTdragon that makes no sense. If your address is banned, your going to have all your packages delivered to your neighbors then?

Same as stealing, people who received their stuff and say they didn't are so pathetic, just pay for your stuff.
That's what happened to me but I got 25$ I really pushed for it too. But they said for a full refund I have to return it

@a_fever_dream ♡ exactly
Amazon doesn't ask you to keep it like that. It depends on several factors. After researching thoroughly only then they will ask you to keep it
It may be Amazon's policy but in my eyes it's stealing, you know for a fact that it's coming out of the seller's pocket, not Amazon's and you're still happy to keep the item AND get a refund?! Saying they shouldn't sell on the platform if they dont want this to happen is a shitty excuse for stealing

You are a total piece of “digested food that is no longer in a persons body” or you may be totally oblivious to what actually happened here:
Seller was not Amazon but a small company from Florida called Safe Racer.

So I contacted an assistant about a problem about returning an item and she told me “you don’t need to return” and my refund will arrive in 3-5 business days
Awesome! Sounds like you are getting the item for free.
I got a French press coffee maker that just arrived today. it was smaller then expected so I immediately requested a refund in order to buy a bigger one. theyre supposedly giving me a returnless refund, and adding it to my gift card balance. im supposed to get an email about my refund, its been about an hour or two and havent heard back
Sometimes it can take a couple days to get the gift card credit. Congrats on getting a return less refund! Those are awesome to get!
Because of the pandemic transport is heavily delayed.
You must feel very proud to have taken advantage of it.
Hell yeah! A $900 seat for free! Amazon sellers should not sell on Amazon if they do not like their policies.
Thanks for the tip. I just saved $712 and some change on a crappy Chinese bed in a box. I got to keep it and the refund in full. Youre a huge help thanks.
Good stuff!! Hopefully the bed isn't too crappy. But for free, you can't complain! Congrats!
@@JMGENTERPRISES definitely not a crappy bed it's a $700 bed with the memory foam and all the layers 12 in thick. Etc. But my body weight and the soft ness of the memory foam mattress doesn't form a very good fit for me so I'm going with inner spring coil and high density phone on top with another layer of cooling gel and then a pillow top on that. Except this one is firm and can also work with my adjustable bed frame that was three or $400 on Amazon. It's got a remote control! And it's wireless! Have a good day and thank you again so much for helping me with getting back at the man. He's got enough money he didn't spend it and he won't give it to charity so the heck with him is what I say.
@@joshuahamm7404 - Glad to hear you found a bed that will work for you! It's tough sometimes finding a good bed when ordering online and not testing it person. Hopefully you can sell the foam mattress and help it pay for the coil spring one! Sleep well!
21st century shoplifting - Amazon is just trying to legitimize it, but they don't own the product. If you get something for free, and it was not offered by the owner of the item, it's theft - period.
Seller should not have promised it would arrive in time. I lost my deposit of $650 because I was unable to race because the seat did not arrive in time.
We had a delivery that was lost in transportation. Went through these steps and was given a full refund. Three days later the item shows up at our doorstep. Great, free item. Then two days after the item shows up we get an email from Amazon and it states. The item was delivered to you. Please send it back or you will be charged the full amount. They sent a return label and we sent it back.
Good to know. At least they told you to send it back. I never received such an email on my item.
@@JMGENTERPRISES If the items are sold by Amazon, they will let you return because it is their property. If the items are sold by third-party sellers, Amazon will play nice and let you keep it because Amazon gains loyalty from buyers. Sellers' loss? LOL, Amazon is the boss, Amazon does not care. Now you know why?
Well what if you do not send it back? I mean you were entitled to a refund due to a delivery issue. if it comes after that is an amazon/UPS problem
Hey man I really appreciate this vid i’ve been waiting 50 days for a package and really needed help
Have you contacted Amazon support?
I got the refund but they canceled the delivery so i guess im back to square one.
Was the package not already with UPS or FedEx when they issued the refund? My package was already shipped with UPS so they couldn't cancel it.
@@JMGENTERPRISES does it matter if Amazon themselves ship the package can u still get a refund and still receive the item?
@@jonathan-qd1cc- I've heard it does not matter what carrier is used. Amazon, UPS, FedEx, USPS.
However, I've never personally had a refund and kept the item when the package was fulfilled by Amazon delivery.
@@JMGENTERPRISES Ok thank you! 👌👌👌👌👌
This happens alot on my seller page and amazon pays me for the item. So as a seller I dont mind.
Good to hear!
same as amazon do walmart return lost product
Thanks I got refunded for a item of 2500$ even though I received it!
😲
Wait really you kept the 2500 dollars?

Wow this video helped me a lot! I wasn't able to get a refund but I was able to get a replacement item ordered for free! Also the customer service was amazing and it took literally seconds for the replacement to be ordered!
Glad I could help! I agree, Amazons customer support is amazing!
How much was the item?
Amazon customer service is amazing because amazon demands that from 3rd party sellers. It is all about Amazon to look good and get richer!!!
To be refunded means you'll keep the item, too?
Thanks for your great video, Sir! But also please, if one buys from foreign amazon, can she/he get assistance/ maintenance from local amazon (if stil warrantied)?
It depends. Sometimes you can keep the item with the refund. Other times, Amazon askes you to return the item.
Hello, I was wondering if they changed the way to access chat becuase i seem to be not able to find it if you could help that would be great!
They may have. It's been a while since I chatted on Amazon. Companies are always changing things around.
I was refunded for an item that was not expensive but I never received it, so although it said delivered I never got it so they did refund me, but days later I just happened to notice something under the bushes and it was my item! It was practically hidden so I could not know it was delivered, in the end I got it for free.
I would reach out to Amazon customer support!
I my expirience with them I have learned that they do send you used things as new even though you paid for brand new and there is different lower price for used,
I've had this happen a couple times. Not cool.
I work at an Amazon return center. A lot of returns get sent back out as new items all the time. Amazon doesn't give us enough time to actually process the items. We have to process 30 returns in an hour, which is ridiculous. Most of us just look at the box, and if it's in good shape we send it back out as new.
am in the same boat, but they told me will take 3-5days
Yeah, it can take 3-5 days to credit back to your same payment method. As long as you got a confirmation email from Amazon that the refund has been issued, you are good to go!
@@JMGENTERPRISES so u filed for a refund got it, and item still got delivered?
Hi :)
When you process replacement or even refund online or over the phone, a return label and retrocharge will be generated regardless the issue.
Sorry for the super delayed response. Curious how this got resolved? What happened?
Does this work for defective items too? If arrives useless it’s basically late?
I don't think so. You usually cannot get refunds for defective items and you have to return them if you want a refund.
@@JMGENTERPRISES thanks buddy. You’re very helpful and down to earth.
Well this seller promised the seat would arrive in time. It did not and I lost my $450 deposit to race my card as I was disqualified.
I know Amazon allows people to scam them of goods and money! Amazon is so RICH they work differently from all other Companies/Web sites etc being a Prime member myself they can be very graceful generous.
I hear ya
Yea they “take a picture” & come back to steal it or send the accomplice’s. It’s even on the News. Lol so the pictures mean nothing. Smh sad.
I wasn't a prime member...still i got 400$ refunded and the item!Sellers are sc@@@d...:p
I know. That's why I don't sell on Amazon but I do as sure buy on it.
What do I call an say to the customer care representative?
