    bro people think flying will ruin the experience, well fk that, flying made me actually play the game and appreciate the map more than being held back

      Exactly! an aeriel view of Rinascita in immersion mode is absolutely stunning, and it doesn't permanently remove ground exploration for me. When I'm in an area that may be dense in things to do I like to run on the ground to make sure I don't miss anything. When I 100% the exploration progress in all the areas, I'll fly around with the lootmapper to grab any side chests that don't actually count towards 100%. Exploration progress doesn't count chests, only treasure spots, and there are loose chests that aren't part of treasure spots.

      Not to mention too that these Gliders and the new Flight model are both fully 3D. Genshin's gliders are static, flat, and just re-skinner 1D models. The Flight feature has been fantastic and learning how to use it has actually been rewarding as I get more experienced with it

    Bro, imagine randomly traversing through a map for objectives and stumbling upon an echo you think is worth killing. Out of the blue, a boss bar appears and shows ''level 120,'' and then the boss duplicates himself. Now, that's what we call the Elder Ring vibe. That is what WUWA is for me.
    This game is simple: support this ideology: what if you don't have the right gear but do you have what it takes to conquer it

    I share your perspective, Wuwa 2.0 reignited my love for open world games, which had been killed by... genshin impact(no hate, just a fact) because as you said, in that game i was just going from chest to chest for gacha currency, Rinascita transported me back to my childhood in which i was going from discovery to discovery, haven't felt like this with a game in years.
    and lets not forget about the music! straight up out of a fairy tale, inmmersive and according to the enviroment, felt like i was in the lord of the rings or frieren, and the song that plays during the "world" reveal aftere you get out of the cathedral left me speechless for like 5 minutes just standing there.

      Same! It's been a while since I was actually excited to explore a map, but Rinascita is so amazing! I don't even need to use teleport, I just wanna fly the whole way 😂

      Yes I had the same reaction as well! Which made me quit Genshin. (I will always love the game, no hate, but I wasn’t playing it as much as I was with wuwa) and to save space, it was the best decision! I will definitely watch playthrough of the story though, I’m too invested although Natlan wasn’t my favorite archon quest.

    Exactly what i've been thinking. It makes no sense to compare wuwa to genshin and such anymore. 2.0 is already better than a lot of recent AAA games

      It's just that the AAA industry is collapsing on itself. Otherwise, true "AAA" game is still superior.

    The fools troupe hideout having not one but 3 different entrances including a blocked passage and secret tunnel really told me how much the devs actually thought about the setting and the world of wuwa

      and the crazy thing is, you can fly through the blocked tunnel then out to the main entrance. you have to break the rocks first, and then you can try maneuvering through that tight cave entrance. it is very precise but i pulled it off agter 7 hours of work. the relief of success was crazy

      same with the neglected echoes who collects caskets. The more you collect, the bigger their base gets. By that I mean more echoes join in with new structures. Like Warframe.

      @@pittore5th 1 is the open water cave you go during main story, 2 is the cave entrance around Nightmare Crownless (marked by some rocks you can destroy with teddy bear) and a secret entrance which rewards you with a trophy if you can find it

    The update can now actually compete with triple A games, and it's not even an Exaggeration. Usually gacha games are prioritizing mostly on selling the character which made the rest to be left to be desired. Kuro proved that a gacha game can be more than what it can provide as a genre. Massive W indeed.

      Yeah, it feels disrespectful to compare it to genshin now. Genshin is the definition of a gacha game, wuwa doesn't even come close to that stuff with how frequent the character reruns are and how high the exploration rewards are.

      I think they were smart in only introducing 5 pullable characters for now because it streamlined their story better and they all had ample screentime and interactions, it felt more natural to the writing than other gacha where they'd tease maybe 10 characters for the region (while adding more later) and there's just TOO many things going on and characters splitting screentime in maybe 4 hours. they don't really get fleshed out. Wuwa introduced 5 pullable characters, the antagonist, NPCs, and they had 10 hours~ of story time overall. They were VERY much IN the story. I like that a lot

      Exactly. I played other hoyoverse games, and all the community discussions and praise just go to how good this and that character looks on fanarts, ships, non-cannon interactions, because the game has nothing to offer at all. It's basically the KPOP version of anime. Wuwa however, you look at the entire picture, and it looks beautiful as a whole.

    i think genshin had such a firm monopoly over open world gacha that we all accepted that it was the standard. wuwa really opened many to give this type of game another shot, and for the better.
    definitely agree with you on the overall feel of 2.0. funnily, in genshin, we were so nickel and dimed with everything that we became our enemy - treasure hoarders. theres more cohesion and purpose in wuwa overall. hope they can keep it up (and at a faster rate than hoyo’s gacha cycle)

      I think you mean Best Mobile not GOTY.
      GOTY is something no gacha will ever have a chance at. They don't even get nominated and frankly I get it. The industry still has a stigma against gacha which is why such games tend to get put in categories like Best Mobile, the same way that the Oscars have Best Animated to cater to the Disney/Pixar/Dreamworks/Ghibli stuff.

    "You might not have the gear, but do you have the skill?" - I felt that so much. I play only as a hobby, an hour or two per day and don't really grind for materials, so I have only 1 fully built team consisting of Rover, Encore and Baizhi. It is not the best or most effective but I love the game because I can beat everything using them!
    Even during the Illusive realm, because my level was too low and I had to use the free resonators to fight, I ran out of time and the bosses powered up, yet I managed to beat them all and survived despite the time running out.

      And Spectro Rover is also good in Illusive Realm! I always use him because of upgraded basic attack. Just slap some Inferno Rider/Bell Borne Echo on him then cheese through it. 😂😂

      I love that when timer ends you can keep fighting in Depth of Illusive Realm, I purposefully use less powerful characters just for that extra challenge!

      Eyyyy, we have the same team except replace Encore with Cauliflower (guy is so clunky and cool at the same time, love my husbando!!) Same sentiments here, as someone who's playing more casually its nice to know that I don't need specific gear, characters, echoes, etc. In order to fully enjoy the game. Just finished my first encounter with Scar, and while I'm SUPER tempted to skip to Rinascita, and all of its awesome boss-fighting glory, I also wanna enjoy Jinzhou for now, simple as it is.....but I'm definitely pulling for Brant when he drops - simping aside, he's just cool both in character and concept, and I'll definitely play him no matter what the meta says! Fun characters are fun, who knew?

    I think most of the fun part for me this time was doing the challenges. It actually felt like a game that i would wanna spend my time analysing enemy patterns or even try reading what the challenges really require. Sometimes it's not about smashing buttons but rather really understanding the context of the challenge Kuro really did prove that, when u play the over World challenges. Ngl whenever i go near a chest i tap open and press dodge button immediately damn those mimics 😂. I really had lost this feeling of joy since when i first started genshin which was 2yrs back. But Kuro really brought that joyful feeling back and i really hope they keep it up.

    1:13 a lot of people like to bring down the whole 1.0 experience, but in term of presentation they ALWAYS been top notch . Shorekeeper quest, Camellya Quest, Encore Story. Jinshi Story.

I think the only highlight of 1.0 was the first Scar mission where they vaguely notion at having vague ideas about something. It gets good on the Mt. Firmament and Black Shores though.

    Well said and I can actually relate with the fact that it doesn't feel like you're just finding chests for gacha currency, it genuinely feels like you're on an adventure and discovery. Everywhere you look is worth a screenshot to share to your nonplayer friends. Everything is just perfect and cleared all my doubt on Kuro games.

      Funnily enough, I personally tend to forget to screenshot a lot more than usual in Rinascita (I already tend to forget to screenshot before 2.0, but only sometimes) because I'm just enjoying the scenery and experience too much that screenshotting was off my mind completely, which felt nice at the moment but afterwards I'm like "crap, I forgot to take pictures of that really cool area" lol

    1.0 was a rough launch for WuWa, but 2.0 really showed me how much Kurogames actually cares for their playerbase. From accepting and implementing community feedback, world building and overall state of the game, Kuro never ceases to surprise me. They're just that consistent on game development it's mind boggling.
    Also, the fact that you can actually F2P through the entire game while enjoying everything and getting the characters you want easier is what makes WuWa contrast more than other games of the same genre.

    If you want to fly fast around the map in wuwa, just play the main quest and get the wing for free. In genshin you gotta pull for some specific character like Chasca and Marvuika to fly just for a few seconds.

      so true. genshin 1.0 triggered my love for openworld. then Elden Ring showed me what a great openworld really is. i went back to genshin and suddenly the openworld is so shitty, the only reason why you'll explore is to get a few primos here and there. wuwa reignited my love for openworld. i dont explore rinascita for chest, for puzzles or whatever, i explore it simply because exploration is fun and immersive. the flight is crazy, the plushie parkour is cute, the special sprint is cool as hell. i even ignore chests sometimes because i just want to fly and enter tight cave entrances, or fly really close to the ground. it's crazy. genshin never made ne feel this way. wuwa just has so much quality now at 2.0 to the point that any gacha game feels like a down grade

    Wuwa exploration is amazing, it's the only game where the quality of life and the enjoyment of exploration is good enough to where I'm compelled to max my exploration in every area out of joy and not out of desperation for pulls like genshin has. The fact one of them has to incentivize their players to explore their open worlds speaks volumes about the gap genshin has to fill in terms of quality of life features (I fucking hate treasure compasses, why do I do reputation for weeks just to get an item that points vaguely in the direction of a chest sometimes??? Lootmapper is my hero and I will forever be a lootmapper enjoyer).

      i mean, treasure compasses got really well buffed and actually worth to use now, i personally was hating that useless piece of garbage but now even i use it, even though it shows just one chest at a time its still useful

    I just finished the story and my god it’s literally peak cinema especially compared to genshin which had just finished and i 100% agree with the way the story in wuwa feels like it’s actually happening within the world with the way that bosses are locked behind story until we meet them how we actually go around the map instead of just staying in on spot most of the time and even how when they are talking most of the time they are near or showing what they are talking about plus the fights and the characters animations genuinely expressing what they are saying compared to having the same animation for everyone like in genshin

    The standard has been raised immensely, the world feels very much alive and I love just running into these side quests with immersive narrative and cool puzzles/mechanics. It is painfully obvious the devs are just pure gamers, and I love that.

    The maze with the mimics and the chess like mini board game made me feel something I haven’t felt for a long time. Like the first time I saw raiders of the lost arc or something. Pure exploration feels. It didn’t even matter that I could just climb or fly over the maze. It felt great.

    In my Conclusion, Wuthering Waves embodies FREEDOM in Gaming.
    1.) It gives you the Freedom to EXPLORE fast to the vast regions of different environments in the over-world map and not lock the exploration mechanics on paywall, character kits or banner.
    2.) Freedom to BUILD TEAM, as they won't push you to pull for specific characters to Complete a team as they are not very intensively into Team-building that you have to build certain optimal comps and have a Fear-Of-Missing-Out on a character as all characters are usable and even can Solo, and that they don't rely on Elemental teambuilding requirements whatsoever. You can use any character on your 3 slot with one healer, two healers or No healer and ALL DPS and you just have to be good at parrying or dodging for survivability.
    3.) Freedom to do your STORY, as they provides you to skip the story animation line then will give you an option to read a Summary Note before you skip or proceed BACK to the animated Dialogues. The Summary Notes is so good for deciding on skipping the animation or not to not skip every detail of the story like you are reading Web Novel.
    4.) Freedom to GACHA, as they provides you with a Character Limited Banner of ONLY 80 pity compared to other games where you need to pull 90 times pity just to get a 5-star character with a 50% Chance to get the Rate-up or not, not guaranteed. They also provide you with a Weapon Banner with also at 80 pity BUT with 100% Guaranteed weapon you desired, no gacha whatsoever. They provide you with 2 FREE Constellation or Dupes in the shop so you don't need to pull up to S6 but just stop at S4 and get the two from the shop. Every patch they provide you with 10 Pulls (5 limited pulls + 5 std pulls), in the shop they give 21 FREE pulls (7 lim + 7 std + 7 weapon lim) and also 100-200 Pulls worth from Exploration, Events and Endgame contents.
    5.) Freedom to Combat, as they provide you with lots of option to fight enemies not relying on only Pure damage as the Enemy Bosses are very Aggressive and have very Quick movements, Diverse Movesets, Lots of Annoying Crowd Control, i-Frames and Aerial Attacks that even Whalers and Min-Maxers can't be complacent with or else they'll be one-shotted, Knocked out or Insta-killed on the spot. The Characters has the Freedom to fight in Aerial Combat and Ground Combat from Parrying, Dodging, to Counters, i-Frames and Quick-Swaps. The Skill Expression for Skilled Pro-Gamers is very rewarding, like for example the Legendary "Danjin MAINS" where she can Solo any content with her DODGE COUNTERS that provides %HP of enemy True Damage which is very cracked BUT at the expense that she also constantly depletes her own HP and recovers it after having her forte full after a certain time. So players and Professional Gamers who are very good at dodging and parrying at the Right and exact timings are REWARDED with the chance to Solo enemy bosses without needing to pull for character or make a full team.
    The vast world of Wuthering Waves is full of Freedom, and its up to you to choose what options you want to do, to Play the game and have Fun. Enjoy Everyone!

    Reading dialogue in 2.0 then listening to any dialogue from Paimon in GI makes you realize how much GI treats you like a child. Since we never hear Travelers inner thoughts or hear them speak, Paimon CONSTANTLY having to recap the obvious plot points makes it so ass to go through

    Funny thing. The death screen shows what your weak in. Such as for me. My echos. Normally people seeing that would try to get better hollows. Not me. I lock in because I know it's just a skill issue. I can beat it. And yes it is literally what makes this game fun. It actively makes winning. Enjoyful. It's the same with darksouls. You win with your skill. Not just your equipment. For a gatcha game that's very cool

    I so hope this development continues with WuWa, but with Kuro's track record it's very likely. One can tell there's a lot of passion and love going into creating this game and everything in it. Haven't enjoyed a game update or world exploration this much for a long time! So happy to be an early player (not since release but 1.1) so I'll continue to see how this game develops.

    the thing that made me know that team had fun creating the aesthetic of 2.0 was when i was running around the area just outside the main town and seeing one of the ferry points or what ever their called and had a angle just right to see one of the hippocamp statues framed that it looked like it was a shrine for the statue showing it off with a vary unique silhouette. it was just one of those things i had to stop and screen shot it. then i go and find out that it wasnt that at all and i just found a unique angle that probably wasnt even intentional.

    I agree. This is how i felt the first time I played 1.0 because of how different traversal was and this felt like I was playing an Elden Ring gacha l just due to the whimsical and fantastic world in 2.0.

    Rinascita is such a pretty region. The variety in its sections is only heightened by how it all still flows together nicely, and it's just fun to walk (or fly) around and take it all in. It still has some of the typical busywork that plagues open-world games in general, but one thing in particular that I'm very grateful for, is the Treasure Sections. Instead of just throwing treasure chests everywhere and telling you to get busy, you get certain spots that hold multiple chests in a certain radius, and provide a small extra reward for finding all of them. It makes exploration feel less like a wild goose chase, more like an adventure, as their placements feel much more deliberate and thoughtful. Plus, getting 100% is now significantly less of a chore, as you pretty much never have to rely on stuff like the Lootmapper, which always felt like a band-aid solution to weak design for me.

    They absolutely shattered my expectations for this update, as you said I knew it'll be good but i didn't know it'll be THAT GOOD!
    And now i expect even greater things from them and i am willing to support them even more financially as well while getting myself some nice sruff like that jinshi skin.
    As you say it doesn't feel like a gacha game , gacha is just a part of it, it feels like an AAA action adventure game and even the characters are so well introduced that youre not just pulling for Meta but you actually have a connection to these awesome characters.
    For me i absolutely aroded Roccia and will be pulling her yo play with Rover and Verina.

    Wuwa was made expecting competition. Not just Genshin. But also games like Infinity Nikki (yes it technically count) and future games like Ananta.

    Thiss is what i mean that with 2.0 Wuthering Waves just raied the bar of the entire gacha gaming industry. It ha literally nothing to envy complete AAA production and hte bet part is the game WILL keep getting BETTER. We got this gem of an update barely half a year after a super rough launch, imagine what the game will have in the next major patches (1 every 6 months) after they get the recognition and revenue they deserve.

    I'm so glad they pivoted to having designated chest areas. Clearing out the 1.0 map was the most burnt out I felt about the game and needed to separate the experience into smaller chunks across multiple days. I'm not very fond of checking an interactive map every few minutes to makes sure I get all my gacha pulls, better that that info is available in-game. I was tentatively excited for 2.0, but they really cooked with this patch and it makes me happy that I've stuck with the game since day 1 now.

    Dude, I remember your WuWa 1.1 is a promising direction 6 months ago.
    Look at them now.
    I know Kuro will eventually do it, it's just a matter of time. I know this cause PGR's release is riddled with criticisms, but they've improved a lot since then.
    I have to say though, I did not expect a gacha game to give me the same feeling in most aspects that I get from some of my favorite AAA non-gacha games like Witcher 3's Blood and Wine DLC. This is the first time a gacha felt AAA for me. Not even WuWa 1.0 gave me that feeling so it's not just recency bias.
    I'm not saying it's perfect, I could still nitpick. But this is the best gacha patch I've ever experienced regardless of any genre.
    Also, I'd love a filmmaker's perspective. Not a pro, but I'm a film and photography enthusiast so I'd be happy to hear someone nerd-out to WuWa. 😂

    2.0 reminded me of games like The Witcher 3. The lively towns(not NPCs just THERE that they might as well t-pose) where it's actually bustling, the world exploration power creep, the side quests that have NO BUSINESS being so good. and the SOUNDTRACK.
    Apart from the obviously the main story, the soundtrack and non-main story being so damn good(open-world quests) is the highlight for me, which is enhanced greatly by the gorgeous scenery where every damn corner is wallpaper worthy.
    2.0 is what an Open-World game is supposed to be that gacha games have failed to do for years. Thank you Kuro Games for being a great example, despite the unnecessary hate from the hoyoverse community(they hate on every anime-like game btw).

    This is a huge wake up call to other Gacha Game Developers. Kuro Games listen to their Player's advice and request, which makes them a Good Game Developers. The Wuthering version 2.0 patch is awesome and Kuro Games did something amazing this year.

    I agree. I've been a player since release and a lot of the times, playing WW felt like a chore. Some updates and quests were good some I couldn't care less but I just stuck through it even though 95% of my friends already dropped. I'm literally the highest UL in my friend list now and I dont have a whole lot of people to talk WW with if at all. 😭
    I said before 2.0, I'll see what they got for this new update and then if I don't like it, I'll finally drop Wuwa or at lest be on hiatus. And 2.0 reminded me of WHY I even stuck for so long, it's because I could see that they do truly try to improve and make things better. 1.x they deliver bit by bit on those improvements, enough that I was still entertained for a while but 2.0 felt like a HUGE haul from 1.x. It truly felt like a new game-- or at least completely rehauled. As someone who has supported this game with money and time through 1.x... 2.0 felt like I was being rewarded. I feel rewarded and fulfilled as a player. I can only hope they maintain this momentum. I'm realistic too of course that nothing is perfect, but what they've given me is more than enough to look past the things I still personally want changes in.
    Also, impressive how the LONG main quest was around maybe 10 hours? and yet I did not feel like I was wading through muddy water. It was easy to digest and entertaining to sit through. I've had quests in my other games where it's maybe only 2-3 hours or less and yet I just wanted it to end. My first sit through for 2.0 was 6 hours and I could not believe 6 hours had passed. I wanted to play more but I could feel that my body was already tired since I was playing for 18 hours (with other games), HAHA

    5:30 - I seen a guy that beat the Rinascita's max tier Holograms with solo no-hit Spectro Rover, using ok-ish gear, with 3* weapon. And he did it. It's like PGR - you can either swipe a lot, or get good.

    it showed to me in the small thing. in genshin, to open the map and activate the teleport waypoints, i would teleport to the closest place and just run. meanwhile in wuwa, no matter how far away it is, i would just walk. even if its in another region, i would walk, fly, swim my way there because traveling the world of solaris-3 feels so enjoyable. like taking a midnight walk to freshen your mind

    Haven’t watched the full video, but something I wanted to add: Wuwa made my expectations for NPCs in gacha games significantly higher than before. Like, even in the 1.0 patch we have Yhan, and many more. And as someone who’s played Genshin pretty consistently since 2020, I’m honestly astonished that Genshin keeps deciding to give us the same old ass models with different clothes for NPCs.
    Regardless of me talking about NPCs (and how good a lot of them look) I agree with what you’ve said about 2.0, it’s definitely recontextualized how I feel about Wuwa as a whole. While I personally am not huge on the mc harem stuff (for me Carlotta felt very much put in to be a love interest lol) at least Wuwa has the guts to do that, and also give pretty much any playable character out of guys and girls bisexual dialogue (like regardless of which rover you pick, you’ll still get Brant calling you my dear girl or boy) so I find it a lot more fun.
    In addition, the exploration is so beautiful and fun!! The wings mechanic pretty much out plays any exploration shit Genshin has done.
    Besides comparing Genshin atp, you’re right, Genshin doesn’t compare to Wuwa in terms of exploration in 2.0, because that’s how different the change is.

    The QOL, the designs, the art, everything. I just started and have seen so many NPC models that would literally be a 4 or 5-Star in another gacha game. It's great, some still not so great things like the dialogue sometimes (and a few other things). But the rest is great, I will be f2p and maybe, MAYBE if it's worth it, I will spend a little. But this is the one time a gacha game has made me consider spending. I played Genshin f2p, quit after Sumeru, tried WuWa and I am thoroughly impressed and it keeps impressing me

    I whole heartedly agree with you on the artistic side of it. I'm horrible with names so I'll explain it, y'know the area with the three towers near the bottom of the map? If you go to where the nightmare impermanence heron spawns and haven't completed the side quest with the three towers. It's a banger screenshot to get. Highly recommend.
    And as for the music? They did something criminal. They put Dancing Through Fantasies in a small little side quest mini game and aside from the musical archiver, that's the only place to hear it. That song should be everywhere. 10/10 patch.

    Seeing you dodge all those boss moves was really satisfying! That reminds me of how much I loved fights in wuwa. I stopped playing it for a while because I was unhappy with gatcha games overall. But now I really want to play the game again for the fights, this new region, and those cinematic cutscene that someone else mentioned too.

    The reason for the major difference in effort and quality between 1.0 and 2.0 is due in part to the rushed rewriting that was made from the closed beta to the 1.0 release.
    Then the cinematography from cutscene to cutscene has been a gradual improvement from version to version, as they got better at stringing together the various expression/gesture animations, and started experimenting with various camera techniques to great success.
    As for the music, yeah the improvement is immense, they definitely got some new people on board for that. Though 1.0's bizarre soundtrack works for amplifying the unsettling TDs, or just background filler, the 2.0 Soundtrack amplifies the sheer fantastical wonder you feel traversing Rinascita. It's the wonder that intitially kept me playing Genshin, until that died off as the hollow combat, annoying story, slow traversal, and optimization issues ground that away. Wuthering Waves on the other hand drew me in with it's much more in depth combat, far more enjoyable world traversal, and story that caught my interest. The world design was good enough that I wanted to explore it. But then 2.0 comes along with a map that inspires that wonder in me after I already enjoy the game, and it results in an experience far surpassing what I felt with genshin.
    Wuthering Waves started with stumbling steps, but they've truly hit their stride with 2.0. I look forward to seeing whether that confident stride becomes a quicker pace in time, till they are full sprinting with visible mastery of their creative process.

    Amma just say this here, when i was exploring using the wings and saw the scenery on a higher and lower perspective i as my friend, i ask her while playing "is this still a gacha game?!" and we chuckled. The update is no offense a 4 or 5yrs worth for GI(for me) and it is mostly mix of games I grow up and admired which are DMC(started dmc 3), Nier automata(music and scenery) and games i watched(wanted to play) like Elden ring

    I grew up playing world of Warcraft and Minecraft. I was around 9 years old and watching my father play, until he showed me how to play myself. As the years passed one, I finally got bored of them, but my love for open world games stayed. When I first saw Rinascita, I was immediately reminded of Stormwind and the landscape itself had the same effect on me, as WoW did back then. I absolutely adore great graphics and pretty designs and often I just stop at pretty locations and look at it and take pictures. And the combat is awesome too, you can’t just overpower enemies, you have to learn their attacks and how to dodge and parry. The slow motion on a perfect parry or dodge is a satisfying feeling, even more when you land the last hit. With each second I played the 2.0 update, the more I fell in love with. And the more I disliked genshin. It truly was a wake up call and it’s hard to believe, the game is free. But the devs have my full support (save some of the physics, my poor girls 😭) and only bc the game is so amazing, I’m willing to spend money

    The Chad move here by Kuro is instead of yapping about the motifs/color/inspiration on the new area during the 2.0 livestream, they just show some snapshots and teases the players to experience them for themselves. Us players don't really know what to expect since they give so little info about the area, then as soon as we experience the area we got this feeling of wander, and amusement cause most things are new to us, Kuro definitely nail the suprise factor in Rinascita, this is how you build anticipation, show as little as possible and go all out on the product.

    One big reason that makes 2.0 doesn't feel like you're just going chest to chest when exploring, is how they designed the new encounters IMO. Most of the chests aren't just randomly scattered but are grouped together in a small area as to make it less tedious to search around and pretty much removes backtracking. Same thing w/ the Tidal Heritages, instead of scattering each one around in small encounters in random areas they made encounters w/ objectives attached to them(Dream Patrol) and reward up to 3 of them if you achieve all the objectives. Personally this is more fun or at least less tedious for me than trying to inspect every nook and cranny looking for chests or looking up a guide as to not miss them. Oh and of course flying is not only fun but extremely convenient, man I'm gonna miss it if they don't include it in future regions.

    in genshin, the only motivation for exploration is primos. here, astrites are a second goal, the primary goal for me is to simply fly around because it's just so fun. if i see a chest or anything, I'll go take it, and then ill just fly again. my waveplates are full and yet im spending my time practicing new flight paths, tight maneuvers and just immersing myself in this new region. it's a lot of aimless yet extremely fun exploration, much like what i experienced with Elden Ring. absolutely wuthering

Completely reignited my passion for exploration and wonder that Genshin had killed for me (especially the letdown Natlan was after Fontaine). I have all of that game's regions at max exploration and the only ones I can say were well crafted were Dragonspine, Enkanomiya and Chasm. Wuwa's world is amazingly detailed and I love the more realism leaning design compared to other anime-aesthetic titles.

    Lowkey, the only thing the could possibly save Genshin from losing more players is for it to put a skip button on their cut scenes. The game already feels so slow with its combat and exploration, having to sit through a 30 min worth of dialogs really turns me off to the point that I'd say "fuck this" and just logs off.

    Kuro managed to keep a good balance between the ruthless gacha core mechanics and player's enjoyment, that's it. It's almost (/s) like they understood that nourishing the golden eggs goose instead of strangling it ( like the "other company") grants a better revenue on the long run. How many players started with WuWa and decided " oh, let's also start with PGR?" just because the company proved to be better and smarter?

    Yea, same here, the more I explore the more floored I am by the update, I enjoyed the story greatly and that was my greatest focus (and fear) for the continuation of the game, they did knock it out of the park, together with the character and sound design (the soundtrack is so beautiful) but what really has me going is just how excited I get just walking around and exploring the new regions. I played and suddenly I felt like I was back in Witcher 3 exploring Blood and Wine, it was the same feeling of just pure enjoyment and awe at all the stuff the game presented me with.
    At the moment, it is simply a fun game to play.
    The fact that they packaged a very interesting and competently put together story, which not only feels conclusive as far as the story goes, but also sets up a ton for the future, with all the gameplay and world aditions is insane to me, massive props to Kuro.
    Tho I do not like how the flying controls on PC, I really hope they will just let it be controlled with mouse, it will also let the challenges not be on rails.

    I'm an FFXIV player, and it's absolutely insane to me that I enjoyed wuwa 2.0 far more than a full length expansion (Dawntrail) that I paid for + monthly sub. Came in optimistic but not expecting anything groundbreaking, and was just absolutely blown away. The story, characters, animations, cinematography, voice acting... Everything was just top tier. It felt like a modern day Italian Heavensward, full of love and time put into it.
    2.0 has me actually wanting to go out and spend time levelling my characters, which I _never_ bother doing in games. I was already impressed with 1.0, and loved 1.x, but just...wow

    The cool part is Rimascita means Rebirth like it paves the way for gacha and openworld gaming a rebirth of new perception

    The craziest part for me is that this is absolutely free. Yes it has monetization and gacha mechanics sure, but the fact that you can just play the game without spending a single dime and still be able to enjoy it for hours is insane to me. If Ubisoft or EA made this game, you can be sure as hell it would cost around $50-$70 on top of the Battle Passes and monetization.

    Extremely nice patch, and video also! 4:36 Something these open world gacha games are missing is the feeling of wondering what could be inside that chest. Like for example in Elden Ring you'll wait in anticipation to pick up the item after finishing the chest opening animation. But in these gacha games you'll just click "open chest" and move on to the next...

    What i hope to be implemented in future : more phantom/shiny echo since not every echo have shiny variant, also make it have random spawn location and give gadget that track shiny for people who too lazy/have limited time to travel around map to find them

    i decided to play wuwa again after seeing all my friends praise 2.0. Its great! I think a big part of it though was getting carlotta, wuwa felt way better to play when i started doing damage (my dps before i quit back in 1.0 was lingyang). The scenery is also absolutely gorgeous and I find myself just randomly running around to appreciate the views.

    Just remember that the character you pull will always be useless if you don't have any skill, this is how a game should be, skill based. (Imo at least)
