I met Johnny and Clarissa at the Exeter County Show. They were courteous, engaging, but watchful. Johnny was interested in my two parsons terriers (the younger one still with us!), Clarissa my interest in cookbooks, she described her own big collection. A wealth of character and knowledge in these two giants. Glad for the memory.
I met Sir Johnny and Clarissa at a BASC game fair where thwey were promoting their book "Clarissa and the Countryman". I found both of them in good humour and very pleasant.
