@@re-sampled anything to do with resampling is good, I run Koala inside Loopy pro, sampling from both ios synths as well as external sources to create layers of textures synced to a number of other soft/hard instruments in a studio so I'm more interested integrating Koala patterns alongside something like a drum machine or any other instruments. Thanks!

sorry for the late reply, you can use midi controllers with koala you just need to have the right hook ups for ipad!
