Bayezid has a close brush with death. Death is everywhere on the Magnificent Century! Bayezid gets betrayed by Rustem, and he girds himself with his sword and goes to fight. Bayezid fights with all his strength and corners Selim. Just as Selim comes to an end, everything turns upside down because of an arrow Selim gets shot by in the chest. Bayezid gets a fatal blow and he gets terrified when he sees the person who has shot him. Selim gets afraid that Bayezid will get his strength back and advences upon his brother with his army.
Bayezid goes to Iran with his children. Suleiman gets angry when he learns his son has taken refuge of Tahmasb I.
Sparrowhawk returns to the capital to kill Rustem and gets help from someone surprising. The deadly fight between them thrillingly comes to an end. Bayezid finds out that his father bargains for his life with Tahmasb I as he expects to be forgiven. Selim makes an insidious plan that the alarm bells start to ring for Bayezid.
At the age of 26, when he ascended to the throne, Sultan Suleiman aimed to build an empire more powerful than Alexander the Great and to render the Ottomans invincible. Throughout his 46-year reign, he became the greatest warrior and ruler of both East and West.
The young Suleiman received news of his succession to the throne during a hunting party in 1520. Unaware that he would be ruling a reign beyond his dreams, he left behind his wife son and took to the road with his close friend and companion Pargali Ibrahim to reach the Topkapi Palace in Istanbul. As they started their journey overland, an Ottoman ship set sail from Crimea in the Black Sea, bringing female slaves as gifts for the Ottoman palace… On this ship was Alexandra La Rossa, the daughter of a Ukrainian Orthodox minister, taken away from her family and sold to the Crimean palace. She had no idea that she would become Hurrem, wife of Sultan Suleiman and mother of princes, ruling the empire with him through bloodshed and intrigue.
As Sultan Suleiman conquered the world, his great passion for Hurrem would clash with his love for and trust in his closest friend and advisor, Grand Vizier Pargali Ibrahim, all set against the backdrop of the tension between Christian Europe and the Ottoman Empire in the 16th century.

Mihrimah served the justice. Rustem, like Ibrahim, has forgotten that he is only a consort to a dynasty member and he will always be considered less, no matter how high he can reach or what he achieves. Ibrahim dared to think of himself as a trainer of a sultan, Rustem enslaved Mihrimah by coersion. Also - considering age gap - it was creepy to think a man that was then an adult lusted for a teenager. Mihrimah did not forget, did not forgive.

Historically, Şehzade Bayezid was killed on the orders of Sultan Suleiman and Sultan Suleiman did not cry after the death of Şehzade Mustafa or the death of Şehzade Bayezid, because he considered them traitors and his greatest enemies. Historically, Sultan Suleiman ordered his remaining sons to watch Şehzade Mustafa die so that they would learn a lesson from it.

Rustem Pasha's portrayal in this series is by far the one that is furthest from historical accuracy than probably any other character. They turned him into almost a Devil like person, while his real life counterpart was far more fondly remembered in Ottoman history, for his political and military achievements and also for his huge generosity towards poor people and artists. The only part that does corespond to real life is his role in execution of Prince Mustafa, in which undoubtedly played probably the most crucial role, but other than that he was not as evil as this series portrayed him.

There were many characters who were portrayed as evil and cruel . But in reality they weren't. Also Mahidevran never killed Mehmed . Etc many

No, Rustem was actually charitable even within the show, the show portrayed Rustem as a competent Vizier, Rustem had the attitude as a Grand Vizier like Ahmed Pasha and Ibrahim Pashas before him, and yes, he did have a temper, but he wasnt THAT good, his military achievements were tame at best

Virtually none of things about Rustem Pasha shown in this series correspond to known factual history. Only his role in execution of Prince Mustafa is shown similar to how historical records show it.
The part that was changd the most was his relationship with Mihrimah. In real life, while it is true that it was purely political marriage and there was probably no real love involved, it is historically known fact that he fully supported all of her actions in and out of palace and that they most probably had a mutually respectful relationship.
Also, his exact relationship with Mihrimah's brothers, apart from Mustafa, is still very much debateable. Whether he trully supporter Selim or Bayezid has never been established beyond reasonable doubt. He was in the end of it on Selim's side, as it is shown in this series, but his true motives are unknown. His infidelity to Mihrimah was invented for this series and it never happened according to official history, therefore Selim and Sokollu could not blackmail him to join them as it was shown in this series.

It is historically known fact that Rustem died of natural causes in July of 1561. Similarly, his brother Admiral Sinan Pasha also died of natural causes in 1553, despite also being shown to be killed in this series.

Plus, just the idea of Grand Vizier being killed by anyone else but Sultan's order is unheard of in Ottoman history. Nobody would realistically dare to do it without Sultan's order as punishment would be automatic death.
