    Вы сняли натяжитель грм, смотрите что бы не перескочила цепь грм на зуб. Проверьте потом метки. Удачи в восстановлении мотоцикла.

    Can you put this engine on its oil pan? I'm wondering after pulling my engine out how to store it

    • @DarrenMcKinney1
      @DarrenMcKinney1  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes the oil pan will be strong enough to support it but just put it on wood and support in as many places as possible

      @@DarrenMcKinney1 ? are you doing this for personal use?

    • @DarrenMcKinney1
      @DarrenMcKinney1  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jasontlouguy5739 this is my personal bike but I am stating to take on work for customers now.
      I have had a lot of interest since uploading these videos and thinking about going into it full time

      @@DarrenMcKinney1 nice i just need the alternator replaced on mines, do i need to remove all that cabling as well or is there a shorter way lol

    • @DarrenMcKinney1
      @DarrenMcKinney1  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jasontlouguy5739 no it’s not too bad. You only need to remove the plug and the one nut on the main wire and then the 3 bolts holding the alternator on. It can be a tight fit in there due to the o ring but give it a lever and a wiggle and it will come out.
      You will need to remove the seat, tank, and carbs to get best access to it

    Awesome I just got a 99 katana but can’t find no one to clean the carbs

      @@DarrenMcKinney1 surely bro, quick question will u recomend me to replace the carbs jets & kit to restore it also? cause i bought it and it did not turn on.
      got a deal on it ahahah

    • @DarrenMcKinney1
      @DarrenMcKinney1  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ricohn1226 yeah I would definitely recommend to replace the seals in the carb and give them and real good clean and set them up. Jets can be clean or replaced too.
      When I got my bike it took a long time to start if it sat for a few days and was a little smokey but after the carb rebuild it starts really quick in any condition now.
      If you want to check out my carb rebuild video it will give you a guide in how to do the whole process and hopefully it will help you out too

    Looking good. Where did you get the rear shock from. Im working on my 600 as well.

    • @DarrenMcKinney1
      @DarrenMcKinney1  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Cheers. That’s just the original shock. It was in good condition so I just removed the spring and cleaned and painted all the parts and zinc plated the adjuster and put it back together.

      Cool. They are a great bike and very reliable. It’s all a learning process working at these bikes. Hopefully we will have a good summer this year so we can get plenty of miles racked up because you know what our summers can be like
