Definitely dont sleep on sword (dagger) & board. Daggers are underpicked while leveling as Rogues will 9/10 be sword spec, and casters are all looking for a juicy staff. It is definitely the slowest of the three leveling builds but the cheapest in terms of consumables. It also opens up tanking low level dungeons up to the low 40s, which is very fun. If you're new to Shaman, I'd recommend Tauren. Warstomp is clutch and at 40 synergizes with Elemental Mastery for the ol Wombo Combo. Wombo Combo allows for aggressive 2-3 mob pulls and is situationally helpful in dungeons. For hardcore, I'd honestly rate Orc as the lowest of the three races. Players will get a purchasable pvp trinket so stun resist is much weaker vs on-demand, the mortal strike debuff on Blood Fury is sketchy, and the axe bonus is only helpful with an axe.
@tompark8864 axe is better for dps but while leveling dagger and shield has fast, consistent damage with added defenses. And it pairs well with flametongue
I tend to go strong fishing pole asap. Sure it's kinda low chance it will be there, but if you sacrifice 1 hour farming g fishing to 75, it counts as weapon skill for the pole. You'll also have enough small fish for some 50 cooking which is a huge boost towards strider stew as soon as you step in crossroads. I will try many shaman variations
Ya for Hard core Tauren/ engineering are the best for survival. war stomp 2 sec stun, (then run), earth bind slow, stone claw(taunt), target dummy, and the little used mechanical dragon. You can chain drop all that while running if needed. You pull a big mistake ? War Stomp, run earth bind, target dummy , wolf yer gone. In dungons always have an escape rout in your head.
Amazing guide! Wish it did better on YT so you could make more of these. Also would be interesting to hear your take on professions, especially since AH and trading will be open on official hc. Now its just alchemy/engi
Also have a tip for those that wanna really min max. Go elemental from start, lots of damage increasing talents early on. Then respec when you have points enough to get flurry online. Enhance have really low impact early talents. *Note that it is an extra 5 gold for the elemental respec at 40.
Imo shaman has three good races. PvE troll for cast speed, PvP tauren for stomp into CL+shock or heal, and ofc Orc for stun resist. Really like shaman, sadly died at 27 and 29 last week. Gonna make a new one when I get home from vacation. Official HC can't be far away now.
Great video. I am having alot of fun as a result of it. I would have also enjoyed a 1h shield weapon progression. I kinda dig the get there when I get there vibe of it. Thanks.
Rockbiter is BIS when leveling because windfury has to proc every 4 attack for being better and sadly it just doesnt. 2 hand is always great again because of strenght agi totem and rockbiter gives so much attack power that none comes close to you in raw phys dmg.
Also, if do your Shamanic-Hamstring Kiting with Earthbind Totem, you take quite a bit less damage. Rockbiter Weapon is OP... gives nearly 50 DPS at max Rank :O
The scorpions have a decent chance to drop eyes that vendor for 95c. I run up to RH 1st to get the bag quest and take out as many scorpions on the way up/down as I can.
I usually do the same. Nice to see some one else post it as well. Leveling a Warlock at the moment though only level 22. Think I'll try a Druid after and then as a 3rd character try a Shaman, though I hope I can stick with the Warlock ;)
for 10-20 go elemental and improved stoneclaw totem... its OP as hell you cant die with it anymore. its aoe taunt to let you get away every time.... than respec when you feel it no longer benefit you. Totem can tank while you kill mob with Flametongue and autoattacks... its FUCKING OP EARLY ON... how on earth YOU DID NOT SAY SO!? stack spirit if u can and go for 10% less mana on LB and use it to pull to totems with some spirit you will get your mana back. Dagger and Shield with spirit stack is amaizing way to lvl and be "immortal" while doing so. It fall of later on but early... dear god its OP.... Melee Crit chance is not that amaizing before Flurry. Elemental Focus is GODlike if you menage it corectly. This guide is NOT the best you can go for your shaman sorry... there is alot more to talk about.... ;/
Did you just say Light Shield is mana efficient? GTFO, bro. If that were the case, you would cast it every time it falls off which is a great way to have to drink after every pull.
Lightning Shield is the most efficient damage-per-mana-point spell the shaman has, specially with 3/3 Imp. LS. Shamans cast spells in batches. Your rotation is always Lightning Shield pre-casted, pull with bolt + flameshock and hit things to death. You CAN finish with a shock and then you ALWAYS recast Lightning Shield when the dies, BEFORE you loot. That ensures you'll have the rule of 5 going for your next pool.
i've found that /cast followed by /startattack only starts attacking if i spam the macro, whereas /startattack followed by /cast always works

what about axe, because don't orc and troll have increased axe spec?

After getting sticky quest done I always go to undead area to get the sleep powder quest done never skip something that can save your life in a pinch
Oh thanks for the tip I’ll do that while turning the RFC quest back in UC!
Yes! I always get those and save them for PvP

never heard anyone going ele from the start
I always did and i have like 12 or more over the past 12 13 years retail classic and wotlk now. Its just too much fun as ele
is this viable for solo pve and if so can would you mind posting your talent progression?@@vandasnic

Staff of orgrimar is better than the wind rider staff if you do the hidden enemies quest in RFC. Then switch to crescent.

So which race you recommend pick in HC? Plz🙏
So far Alchemy has been great for me and leveling resto has quickly made me server friends to heal dungeons and do group quests.
Yeah man those swiftness pots are life!!! ❤ restoration as well 🎉
Is there a safe way to get to TB for the couldron stirrer? Walking there at lv 11 you might aggro the aggressive mobs on your way to camp t
I follow the road and never aggro anything until mulgore
How did you skip over the Tauren racial? 2 second aoe stun? No brainer as a melee class.
Totem Macro only working one time on login after that first use it will not cast any totems. any suggestions?
Im going enhans resto build leveling with warrior and im wondering if i should get nature swiftness instead of stormstrike
One of the reasons why mobs don't have the obvious needed loot, such as zhevras without hooves, is posisbly because they getbruined during combat.
Yes. So many people don't think of this but the item gets destroyed in the fight.
@@wmcarter6096 At least I think this is what happens. And it does make sense. Sometimes we are lucky there is even a corpse left.
Yeah those pesky Westfall murlocs sure seem to drop more eyes when stabbed from behind with a dagger, rather than getting mace to the face.
Fire shaman yay or nay? Imp earthbind totem, call of flame and imp firetotem + elemental fury for huge aoe dps?
Hey do you have the weakaura or an addon to see when i have to refresh the Lightning Shield?
Just do it on cooldown xD

1-10 takes an hour. 1 hour of a potential 200 hour journey puts you off playing a class? Interesting

Every one of you going enhance os just gross. Its not even necessary. Elemental from lv 10 never quit son!
dude the macro guide was awful x.x
eye of the storm is a pvp talent, mobs dont crit
Wot
Yah that's not correct at all.
Melee and ranged mobs can crit and do crit.
Spell caster mobs do not crit.
Eye of the storm is a great loving talent.
Omg, I just can't do WoW anymore. Give Exoprimal a try.
