Hey, I'm the guy who took your idea about putting plugs in the end of barrel vent and used spent 22 brass. By far the biggest solution, single one at least, has been to make my own torsion spring for the mags. I used a pull type that had no space between turns at rest that was about 1.5 times thicker than the original. Those mags have worked ever since without fail

I have thought about making springs to see if I could get them to work. What kind of wire did you use? Now I will have to give it a try. Thank You
