- 02.08.2017. Francis Rossi was interviewed in Germany before the Wacken heavy metal and hard rock festival. Francis seems to be irritated by these questions. The interviewer kind of has no idea who Richie and Leon are (subtitles say that Leon plays guitar and bass). Strange interview but still interesting. Francis is a star - always.

Francis had every reason to be irritated. You don't do an interview without taking a minimum of information, grr. In any case, Francis is a leader who loves his musicians and who does not forget to present them. As for Léon, Francis toured with him, for solo concerts and since 2012/2013, he replaces Matt, who left for personal reasons. It is therefore not entirely new, but goes too unnoticed. Too bad, he's a great drummer.

well answered ! Dont know how he got the energy to answer so acurate and with so many details ? One can allways write a book with these answers. :-). Its abit that the interwiew is putting the words in his mouth. Not many options on what to answer.

He doesn't know why they have been called a Heavy rock band, perhaps he's forgotten the 5 albums from the 70s.
If Margarita time was Quos first single it would of sunk without trace, Francis is almost embarrassed by the rockier songs, that's a shame.

Francis you talk a lot of shite some times. Your comment that we are a "lad de la de la" band is just crap. Status Quo "were" one of the hardest rocking bands in the world until you decided you wanted to make them a pop/country band. You are invited to Wacken and other heavy gigs, because thats what you where????? That's what Rick and Alan were. But here's the thing Francis, Status Quo would have been nothing with out you. Your love of a tune, your pop sensibilities, made this hard rocking band the best in the world. And boy you could you play guitar. There would be no Quo without you, but also you single handedly destroyed everything that we love about Quo. I will never understand why.
