Thanks for slipping in those 'unofficial' glimpses of inside Shakespeare & Co. as it brought back memories of my visit there whilst staying in the famous old Esmeralda Hotel around the corner. Congratulations to Natasha on her book signing. I can imagine you there one day…….

I see Natasha is an author (from an earlier vlog), so impressive! Have I said how lovely the art is that your landlady had done for you? I could stare at it and drift... for a long while (I am an artist). Even on a busy day you got your run in! I am impressed with your independence and self discipline. As always loved this video :)
Hi Yvoone This bookshop dates from the 1960s when an American opened it in homage to the original. Shakespeare & Co. That was opened. In 1921 by another American called Sylvia Beach. She wad a good friend of Hemingway & Fitzgerald & published James Joyce's Ulysses when no-one else would. The room is a memorial library to her containing her own books. This shop has a really interesting history in its own right but you can see the original on the Left Bank with a plaque on the wall. Sadly not a bookshop anymore. Hope this helps.

He did a rotation of seven characters for Season One's intros, from what I can tell. Each one appeared on the same day of the week. So, for example, 'Adventure Guy' appeared on Sundays to introduce the vlog. In late July 2017, he added five new characters, kind of kept two (morphed a bit). By September 2017 there were twelve distinct characters. I may have missed one or two if they were short run characters (scared guy seems to also be scarce guy, hehe). (rainbow suspenders)

The art on Jay's wall are all from his books. Yes, he has a wonderful landlady! Jay is very inspiring for many of us.
