not hard when you can see them building it. freehand bunkers have been around for a long time. ive played in a few villages and they just have a ton of these with exposed turrets behind chainlink

Is there a trick to ensuring the bunker parts get kept up by TC? Is that why 78-79% stability is required?
Yes 78 79 is required for it to be attached to the main base. any lower and youll have to set up an external tc

What if someone destroys the twig when you're inside your base?
Put a shotgun trap there to shoot when it sees an enemy and break the twig. Or flame trap
Make a bag with a stash and a build plan with some wood
If you have annoying neighbors, then they will break the twig constantly.
