The fact that this is a franchise about dinosaurs doesn't mean they can just make up the other animal's behaviours. A deer would NEVER let anything come that close, it would've run just by hearing footsteps.
Deer are naturally cautious animals, but their senses can be selective. In Jurassic World Dominion, the deer likely didn’t perceive the Therizinosaurus as a predator due to its slow movements or plant-eating behavior. Herbivores like deer focus on immediate threats and may ignore creatures that don’t exhibit predatory signs. The Therizinosaurus' stealthy approach and the deer's focus on grazing suggest it might not have registered the dinosaur as a danger. Additionally, the scene might also exaggerate the deer's obliviousness to build suspense for the audience.
Agreed and 2 the Therizino was a "veggi-saurus" if i remember correctly. Also It wouldn't just arbitrarily attack another herbivore unless it was threatened. The natural instinct to "protect your weapons for when you really need them" would have kicked in I think. But again Hollywood takes artistic license when it wants.
0:35 The steps and snoring of a huge dinosaur become audible only when it enters the frame, and until that moment it swam more silently than the evening fog.
movies are closer to dreams than reality, nothing exists until it's in the frame. learn some basic film theory instead of logic nitpicking, art is not real life.

So the blind dinosaur goes past her and her solution is with its heightened senses, to make noise with a metal seat belt, crash onto the floor, break some twigs along the way and take a dip in that lil lake? Nothing about what she did was quiet 😂
Now THIS is more like it. Slow, quiet and builds tension. Reminds me of the kitchen scene from the first movie. Much better than that embarrassing car chase scene in the city.

Something's not right in the way the scene is shot when we see the therizinosaurus snout moving above the water. If one watches the background, it does not move. However, the dinosaur's snout is moving far too much above the water consider how the background stays the same. To be realistic, if an actual animatronics or live size model dinosaur moved its neck above the water, the background would have changed accordingly. The distance covered over the water far exceeds that which would have been expected judging from the background. The perspective and effect just aren't right.
I don’t get people saying this scene was tense or scary. Dino comes in total silence, deer won’t hear or move Or Smell it, dino won’t see Or Smell Claire. Dino’s said to’ve been herby, but eats deaf deer. Dino won’t come explore after Claire falls off the seat. Claire slowly crawls totally within sight.
