Such a badass and very rare moment when the Yautja was actually honorable against his opponent. No weapons at all, just brute strength.
But when facing an opponent in hand-to-hand combat aren't they supposed to disable their cloaking device
I may be wrong but this is just what I believe. The Yautja cloaking device probably has a setting allowing the user to decide how much cloak they want. In this case, when facing the bear, the yautja wanted to intimidate by appearing almost near invisible but still enough spectrum for the bear to see its opponent. I don’t know that’s just what I think.

I wish they had drug this out a little longer. I like that they seemed make the bear a far match, but I wish the fight had gone on a little longer than the bear taking one punch to die
I don't think it was the punch that did it. It looked like the Yautja was covered in blood.

It’s a dominance thing, in nature when bears fight they rarely fight to the death. often the more dominant bear will start to walk away pretty much declaring victory unless the other bear decides to get back up then it’s back on, it’ll go on like this till one bear either gives up or dies but like I said rarely happens. 👌🏼

if the bear would have put the predator down, it would have not left until it ripped the predator apart. thats my ONLY problem with this scene
That's right. Even in Predator comics and books the creatures had no chance against in hand to hand fight with a grizzly.

I'm not sure the bear really knew what it was dealing with. I'm actually certain it didn't.
That's what makes them perfect tough prey to hunt. although i would say they do hunt monsters much worse then bears.

Naru is one of the most badass characters in the Predator universe, good survival instincts, she's a real warrior and I respect that.

She was pretty much all talk until the plot armor kicked in.
The movie would've been objectively far better if it were her and her brother who fought the predator in the final battle, but he didn't make it.
Not only would've it been better, but also not had to rely on any "I am woman, hear me roar!" kind of crap, where this 90 lb. girl is able to just defeat a freaking yautja so quickly.
My favourite bit of the film
This scene is basically flawless. When they wrestle, the Predator still has its cloaking on so when the bear manages to bring the Predator down, they got separated and the bear couldn't spot the Predator until it rose again. The Predator engaged the bear like that to see what the bear is made of, after their little tussle it was done playing around.
No one can beat the Predator 😮.. he’s 7 foot tall.. has knives for hands.. a Rocket launcher on his shoulders.. and he’s got Dreadlocks!!!! Give us a chance!!!😂😂😂😂☝️

This brutal predator shook me and shocked me with bizarre scenes!
The strength it would take to knock out a bear or kill it with a punch or lift it up like would have been more than enough to rag doll it in a wrestling match so why was the predator the one losing at the beginning? Not to mention surviving an attack like that and being able to get right up after or the bear stopping mid attack just doesn't make any sense at all.

The bear had him. He should have just kept at it. Kodiak bear is the absolute top predator without technology. Nothing is able to stand against it. Not lion, tiger, only another bear. The predator would have sustained more serious injuries from that attack.
Dude, he punched the bear and snapped its neck in one blow once he was fed up.
This is a sci-fi predator, not a real life animal were talking about.
@@FantomPhoenix .. I’m just saying in the movie... the Kodiak bear took the predator down first. The bear out weighed the predator probably 3 to one. The predator survived by playing dead. And it didn’t snap the bears neck. It drove knives through its neck.
If the Kodiak kept at it the predator would have been shredded just like any other animal a Kodiak bear kills.

Watch the movie again.. the predator played dead. The bear was walking away. 1000lb Kodiak bear, only thing beating that without technology is another Bigger Kodiak. Predator used technology

It was a technology designed 4 blade sword that punctured the bears neck.

@@M4PAT watch the video again... predator was down! It stayed down until the Bear started walking away. The script is flawed. Kodiaks don’t walk away like that. Not until they’ve ripped their opponent to pieces. It may have been more realistic if the bear hadn’t got the jump on the predator.
It’s a thousand pound grizzly tho. They move way faster than that. They can run 40mph. They swipe faster than anything you’ve ever seen.
And also the bear would have caught the girl in about 2 seconds.

Love the movie but in real life, No one can’t out run a Bear especially when they are aggressive. They can climb, swim & run faster than you & they also can smell you a mile away. Your unmatched facing a bear in a real life unless you have a gun
Don’t know if you watched the scene but the bear had some distance to close. You apparently believe that bears possess the ability to teleport.

Just like real life, the older versions of the predators were much bigger and stronger since they didnt rely too much on tech.

She should be. She was less from three seconds from becoming Bear Grub. So much for the "I am woman here me roar moment.' There were no cunning warrior evasive skills in that scene. If not for the Predator Nauru would have become meat on his table.
Boy this Yautja really got drunk off the thrill of the hunt. Since this was the first one, I guess they hadnt come across animals like those on earth yet so when he fought the wolf and bear, you could tell he was unprepared and practically outmatched. Aliens to him. And yet you could also make out that it was only making things funner for him haha.
Haven't seen this movie yet but have watched this scene plenty of times....that Bear was going after the girl, assuming for food, then got into it with Predator and didn't continue to shred the Predator and eat him alive??? Thats what lost me....bears are known for eating their meal while still alive but this 1 just turns and walks away with no meal.. 🤔

Pros and cons with scene is I loved how the predator didn’t use weapons or blades against bear. Just using melee combat and brute strength but it made no sense for the bear to all of a sudden stop mauling the yautja
If anybody asked an zoologist, that studies bears behavior in the wild.Even though the movieI t's make believe,most zoologist or an animal, experts would've said the Bear would win the fight.Once the Bear pinned the Yauti down in the water, instead of walking away, the Bear would've start tearing the Yautia apart.

A bear would've not stopped attacking the Predator or just walked away like that. This is supposedly a fat faced cave bear, which was larger than a polar bear. It would've slaughtered the Predator, no doubt about it, or at least left the Predator with life threatening injuries.

This one scene says it all trying to sell the audience that she's some tough warrior girl (Laughable). An enormous bear is about to turn her to spam and yet by some miracle we're supposed to believe that she could defeat a Predator with advanced weapons because it's written in (Insane). If you're willing to turn your brain off the terrible writing for this outing will pass. Points for the beautiful scenery (Excellent) but historically they had no modern 21st century thinking women during this time period. Hollywood has got to hire better writers who know the genre, or stop pushing these silly Girl power fantasy films. I salute Tinsel Town because this movie lived up to their slogan 'The Land of make believe' tripe.

Wow glad I didn't watch this clownshow. CGI fest of ludicrous proportions. May as well watch cartoons and get the same amount of entertainment. Bugs bunny vs Elmer Fudd is more entertaining and believable.

This was easily the best Presator movie for a loong time. She beat it because of cunning and it had been shot in the head!!! It certainly wasnt in the best of conditions by the end!
