I know some people aren't gonna care but honestly i think it's so amazing that such a high budget game targeted towards girls is being made. Ofc i hope some guys come to enjoy it too. It always makes me happy when guys enjoy things that was made with girls in mind. Its nice to see such a game when most games usually have a male demographic in mind. Idk it just makes my girl heart happy
I'm a guy (well, gender fluid) and I've enjoyed the movile games up until I realized they were being pretty predatory about their monetization. I want to be interested in this game (Though I'll have to wait until it comes to PC if it ever does), but I worry about the monetization ruining things for me again.
From my experience, men enjoy dressing up girls just as much if not more than women do.
It's just that culturally we typically get looked down on for it. Either because it's considered too "girly" or too "perverted".

I hope this becomes successful and sets a precedent for more girly feminine-demographic games in the future! don't get me wrong, I love "cool" fighting games, but sometimes I just want to enjoy something cute and for the female gaze that doesn't have romance or anything like that. we can already tell that lots of people enjoy this kind of thing! the open world looks stunning as well.
Me too. I always wonder how big franchise like Barbie never try to make a big budget fashion game like this. With the recent movie success and Barbie being a fashion icon, it seems like a miss to not make a video game out of it.

@@mahiru20ten Infold is a division of Paper games, I think it is their inhouse publishing company thing? The logo is very similar to Paper as well if you look. :3 (but Paper is the dev company for both/all)

More surprising to me is that, One of the Game Designers of the Zelda BOTW, Kentaro Tominaga is working on Infinity Nikki! That's so cool!!!

We've been neglected for so long. I'm really excited to see a super high quality modern 3d girly dress up game. There really hasn't been anything like this before. Especially on playstation lol.

@@jamesbrice3267 Barbie doesn't have any games in the modern dress up genre. And certainly none that are open world or action adventure. There is a classic style dress up game but it's more in line with web flash games. Most Barbie games are mini game collections or other genres
My wife is very picky with her games, she basically only plays Animal Crossing, Disney dreamlight... but I really think she will enjoy this one, looks perfect for her.

Normally I don't know what to think when a trailer goes in this many different genre directions, but all of this is violently my aesthetic and I am so here for it! Definitely going to try and reserve a physical copy of the full game.

It’s a fashion dress up game for girls, it’s a long standing franchise. The “fighting” and play forming will be a small part. It will be sandboxy with lots of different things to do but focus is clothes.
I love that this ended up getting the most views out of all the new State of Play reveals.
The nikki fanbase is huge. Love Nikki had higher revenue than final fantasy 16 lol. This is very likely one of the higher grossing games in the state of play, if not the highest.

I've been looking forward to this game for a year and a half. What if they are doing the tests in Q3 so that they can aim to launch on the 12th anniversary of the franchise in December?

Id love to explore an amazing and beautiful world while wearing beautiful clothing. Even tho I was never a Nikki fan it's pretty cool how far they've come

I can understand why there is so much hate for this game, but to be honest, it's great to see charming games like these now and then. I remember playing Disney Princess: Enchanted Journey only to entertain my sister when I was very young. As a boy, I naturally didn't enjoy it, but the bright colors were a huge contrast to the ones in the games I played. Growing up, I've learned to appreciate the brighter side of things now and then (especially when I am spending hours in Lies of P and need a break).

I’ve been playing the Nikki games since Love Nikki and I still play Shining Nikki to this day, so it’s a pleasant but welcomed surprise that Nikki’s coming to consoles!

I was never interested in playing Shining Nikki and Love Nikki because they didn’t have much beyond the basic premise of “mix and match a limited amount of outfit pieces for points”, so seeing that this game actually has a substantial amount of lore behind the game’s setting, intriguing gameplay, AND the bigger budget means more options than what you can get in a mobile game has me hooked.
I absolutely love the look and how animated everything about the game is. I'm definitely going to give it a try. I have no idea what to expect, but I'm super into it.
