WOW! Sound Exchange has it going on, what an amazing selection of RSD releases! Always love seeing so many people coming out to the shop and as always thanks for the play by play Brendon.
I went later in the day and got Jesse Malin's The Heat (20th Anniversary Edition). It was 29.98 and came with digital download, poster and even a bonus 45, which I have never seen before. An Alternative Rock goodie.
I snapped up Be Bop Deluxe “Futurama” reissue as soon as I saw it. I didn’t see any other copies, so I might have gotten the last one. Also got Thin Lizzy “Live at Hammersmith”. Also picked up some vintage 45s, three cds and some awesome non-RSD albums on vinyl. All in all, a great RSD!
Alan Parsons Project and Def Leppard for me ! There was apparently only one copy of each in the recordstore I went to, so I'm reeeeally glad I got them. Thank you for sharing the excitement at Sound Exchange ! What a cool saturday it's been.
Real awesome video Brendon. Glad to see what could/will be released on cd down the Road. I’m very much looking forward to the Ringo EP coming out. Definitely getting that one at the time of release.
Heyyy love to see this! I don't have a record store close to me, but I found a cool one in Buffalo called Black Dots that had some good prices for shipping! Was able to get myself Voivod's "The Wake" 2x LP (900 copies made, but it's an "RSD first" lp) Also picked up their last copy of Sodom's 2019 "Out of The Frontline Trench" which I was struggling to find anywhere else! Really excited for them to arrive
So good to see people out lining up and supporting RSD and record stores. We had about 200-250 lined up waiting for us to start in Dearborn, MI at the shop where I work. 🤘✌️
@@fdsuperstar2547 Not sure how many more they can make available. There were 400+ LPs, CDs, 45s, and 3” records plus a Beatles 3” record player. What’s the magic number?
I picked up the DIO LAST IN LINE picture disc where if you play it The MURRY mascot starts moving. I also picked up QUEEN's COOL CAT, and THE ROLLING STONES debut album RSD Limited Edition..and a BILLIE HOLIDAY the complete decca recordings cd box set...and since a friend of mine is taking me to see JUDAS PRIEST in may i bought him the MOTLEY CRUE SUPERSONIC AND DEMONIC RELICS album as a gift...and when i got home i had a delivery of JUDAS PRIEST's UMLEASHED IN THE EAST, RAM IT DOWN, AND REDEMER OF SOULS CDs to complete my JUDAS PRIEST CD album collection
@BrendonSnyder I am...but I don't open them or play them...I still have a rolling stones RSD album from a few years back that is still wrapped up in shrink wrap. But with regular vinyl albums I play them once and that's it.
Great RSD!!! I scored big as well - Def Leppard, Thin Lizzy, MR BIG, Motley Crue, Tesla, David Bowie, Pearl Jam, Collective Soul, Joe Strummer, The Doors, and The Stones Live
A lot of cool stuff for the new Record Store Day, thanks for the video! I would really like to find a vinyl of Def Leppard - One Night Only Live at The Leadmill in Sheffield 2023. 🙂
Great vid and great turnout - swinging by today to pick through any RSD exclusives that are left. And will fight the urge to leave with 20+ CDs like normal…. Skye knows…. lol. I think she just puts a box on the counter now when I come lol 😂
Good haul. I got what I was looking for… I grabbed the Eric Carr on both vinyl and CD. I grabbed the Motley Crue SuperSonic and Demonic. My kid got the Dio - Last In Line. We grabbed some other non-Record Store Day things also. I held off on the Mr Big because from what I hear the CD version of that is coming out later this year. I wanted to grab DefLep but held off in hopes for the later release. The shop I went to had a strong line like Sound Exchange prior to opening. The shop had the first bunch of customers fill out these papers the titles that they wanted and only allowed one per customer. Whatever was leftover on Sunday is fair game. The place I was ended up not getting a several titles. Most of the rock stuff sold out. Overall a great day.
A great haul! I didn’t have much to spend this year but it picked up Dark Matter,, Paranoid on splatter vinyl, Sleater Kinney and Public Service Broadcasting.
I got the Fun Boy Three and Northside. I also wanted Tinted Windows, but it wasn’t there. Of non RSD stuff i picked up an LP by Wayne County & the Electric Chairs, and 3 CD’s by Warren Zevon, Television Personalities, and Chumbawamba
Great vid! I only ended up with the Steven Wilson and Screaming Trees releases. I was also interested in At The Drive-In, but missed out, and Pearl Jam, but I already have the black vinyl and the cd so ultimately decided not to drop the $50 on it.
Enjoy the videos of RSD ....great to see a local music store busy. Also that people still love physical media. Picked up the Eric Carr cd and the Def Leppard and Mr. Big vinyl. I prefer cds but like you dont want to miss out on certain titles.
Another Fun RSD day picked up The Doors cd & vinyl, Def Leppard, David Bowie, Ann Wilson, America, Eric Carr box set, John Lennon, & Kate Bush. Could not find any Queen or Dolores O’Riodan.
I don't have a record store near me but this morning when everything went up online I ended up getting Pearl Jam and Sisters of Mercy. One day I'd like to actually go to one of these things.
Yesterday, I was hooked on a RSD in a Phoenix record store. Most fun It had online in awhile. Poor Eric Carr. I got up early this morning to buy AWB (see this was one you mentioned early in this vid. I'm shocked). My go-to online store was out. I found 7 copies in an Ohio store. Man, they made me work for it (email Codes, text Codes). The Doors? I had the damn thing IN MY CART! at Dusty Groove. I browsed for about a minute. Gone. "Just Sold Out"! Denied!!!
I really need to get my hands on that Dixie Dregs release. Brendon, do you know if that is a regional release and/or RSD first (I kind of doubt it)? Great episode! Cheers.
It says it’s an RSD exclusive. But it’s on the Iconoclassic record label which has been issuing lost albums and things like that by major artists so perhaps it will get a CD release later.
@@BrendonSnyder Thank you, Brendon. I will try to get it over here in Brussels, but somehow I feel this isn't going to be a priority for record stores here. Thank you for pointing out the label. Have a great day listening to your purchases! Cheers.
I unfortunately got hosed. Last year i had 3 main things I wanted and 2 backups, and got all 3 of the main choices. This year I had 3 primary again and 3 backups, and they only even got in 1 of the backups. Soooo disappointing not getting the Nancy Sinatra RSD Exclusive. Huge bummer. The store I went to 2nd is of course the one that got 1 copy but they had already sold it.
Nice Sponge album I have not found that one yet. I picked up Unwritten Law, Murder was the Case Soundtrack and The Offspring Splinter. When are the record companies going to Release old Marilyn Manson Records?
I've only done this 2 years now. Is there a typical time it takes for the RSD First stuff to be released wide? Is it usually soon or can it take a long time? My store got zero Gandalf and Pale Shades of Grey
Man I wish I was friends with a record store owner, can you imagine, you would be able to get whatever you wanted and not wait in line over night, or have to end up paying the after market prices.. That would be awesome...
Hi Brendan. Thanks for the video. Why do you have the tongue ring and earrings in 2024? My high school boyfriend got one to piss his parents off back in 93. Was it too painful to take yours out?
Somehow I don't think you would like it if a man criticised your appearance and personal choices like that. It's very rude. The way women are these days, you'd be very quick to shriek misogyny.
Good morning Brendon! Great vid of Record Store Day. I knew you would find and show a YES album. Very cool! Looking forward to Jon and The Band Geek's new album. Also the Talk box set. Enjoy your new goodies, some awesome picks there!👍🎵🎼🎶😎
Thing is with this RSD having so much for so many alot of places do have inventory left, so if you didnt get it that day the next day places like Rough Trade here in NYC and another place called Toad Hall records they are in Chicago they have many things left that you could order if by chance you put off or didnt have a store near you, online is an option before you go crazy and go the ebay route. It's funny I watched some other RSD days from people with their haul and one of the videos for two of the things he picked up he was so unsure the songs, etc...I can tell he was just buying to flip things. But this year I bought more than I have ever bought on RSD I have my one spot here in NYC that I always have gone too since back in the day of imports and things like that when artists like Queen and Jovi were releasing cd singles in other countries and they all had new tracks, demos, b sides this store in NYC always got them. But I was all over the spectrum with this RSD mainly because I have some different likes, went for The Rolling Stones (live), Ringo, John Lennon (the box got coming out now is July), Jim Croce (last show), Pearl Jam (RSD), The black crowes and Queen and Olivia Rodrigo (7") releases, Kim Wilde, Bowie and U2. I may still get the Elton John and Alan Parsons a few places have them still on their websites and instore too.
Did you go to your local record store? Sound Exchange had plenty left over for anyone who came later in the day or even the day after. You just have to try and make an effort to get it.
I don't understand why bands are only doing records now? I mean I realize cds are not as popular but I don't want records. I was so dissapointed by how many things are record only.
Unfortunately Record Store Day has always been about Records and not CDs. Still, I too would have thought that more and more CD titles would be added but they never seem to be. With the price of CDs going up these days maybe they will find it more lucrative to release more titles on CD.
@@BrendonSnyder I mean even aside from RSD , I went to a Ministry show just a few weeks ago and even they were only selling records :( Nekrogoblikon web page has one cd the rest are records. So baring finding it local I try to buy from the band if I can but even that seems hard to find.
It’s so awesome to see record stores get so much business on these Record Store days. Anthony’s store looks so cool.
Love it!
Looks like a local store here in Va Beach called BIRDLAND
Great video Brendon! It’s Elmer. It was great to finally meet you on RSD yesterday at Anthony’s store. Keep rockin’ and doing what you do best!!
Nice haul!

I’d go and support record store day if they had more records to sell of what I would like to get.
Another fun video Brendon, love ur videos. Keep it up! Greetings from the Netherlands
I got to my store at 8PM the night before, and I was fourth in line!!!! Ive been watching everyone’s RSD videos and must say I enjoy yours a lot

Love how you always wear a. Duran Duran shirt. Love them. That band is definitely on my bucket list concert list.
Always? I’m pretty sure I wear a variety of shirts in my videos 👍
The 1 album that I discovered on RSD2024 is 'Electrafixion - Burned' from 1995 by 2 guys from Echo & the Bunnymen. Amazing album!
Great album! I was excited when that first came out back in the 90’s.
