Bessemer & Lake Erie | Chasing The Girard Local I BLE

On the morning of December 29th, 2021. I ventured out to Girard PA with very short notice of a rare local job running up to Girard to interchange with Norfolk Southern and work an industry by downtown. In this video, I meet up with my pal ‪@GTRailFanProductions‬ and we ended up chasing the local from Girard, all the way back down the line into Greensville, PA. The Bessemer and it's power for this local is all owned by Canadian National, however #868 and #862 are not in CN paint. Bessemer & Lake Erie 868 is one of the last Bessermer units to operate in Bessemer & Lake Erie Orange Paint and to be completely an original engine. 862 however is a treat as well given the fallen railroad’s paint scheme from the Duluth Missabe & Iron Range Railroad still being on the unit, just patched with Bessemer Tags.
