      Good way to go. I listen to so many people talk about how they are going to start in hotshot and work thier way up.?. If they knew the business they would know that it's easier to succeed in tractor trailer than in hotshot. I definitely understand why they think the way they do but it's just backwards. Good luck I'm sure you'll do good tho.Thanks for watching 👀

    Hi, welcome to "hotshot" ! On DOT inspection, try N Canton TA next time. Done my last 5 annuals there, they have 3 or 5 guys there that do inspections ( yes even hotshots). Never spent more that an hour, in & out.

      Thanks very much. I am only 40 min from there, and I'm always looking for the few. Very few, good places to do business. Thanks for watching too I really appreciate it.

      Ouch that would hurt. Specially in this societal investment. My dealer said when my truck finally came In that if I wanted another one now it would take 13 or 15 months to get it. Hang in there.

    I plan on starting on March 1st. Was it difficult to get brokers to schedule you to carry for them? Some say it’s hard as a beginner.

    • @X-American
      @X-American  ปีที่แล้ว

      No. Some brokers won't deal with new authority but its not that many. Carrier packets are pretty simple.

    Hey quick question for you. What do you think the future of hotshot trucking is? Do you think it will be just as profitable? I really want to get into the field.

      I do. I think more and more will go that way.

    • @X-American
      @X-American  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Cost to buy you mean? 73k for the truck, 19,500 for the trailer, and about 5k in straps, tarps, chains, and all that.

    This is why Hotshot drivers get popped all the time! someone has the resources to get started and they get a TH-cam account and start giving advice and don't have a clue about the rules. Those Amazon straps are worthless if you noticed your straps has no working load limit stenciled in the webbing or no orange strip in the middle. I am sure you got chains there also and look to see if chains and binders have WWL stamped in both chains and binders.

      Ya your right people that know nothing open thier mouth and start talking all the time. I have 20 yrs exp tractor trailer, 9 as an owner operator, the wll and orange line are on the straps, I have 8 grade 70 chains and binders, hope I didn't forget anything. Oh and I have had my TH-cam channel since 2009 with almost 12 million uploaded views. Thanks tho.

      Oooooh wait I see your channel has nothing on it. Just your opinion everywhere else. I gotcha.
