The hardest part is remembering *where* a particular screen you need is located.

This is why I struggle with the temptation to just turtle and plough through the tech tree by mass producing laboratories for a couple decades every time I play. Getting out teched is brutal.

What is the point of Squadron Jump? Is it just to be more convenient than manually picking Standard Transit on every ship with 5s delays to sync them up?

It jumps you through a jump point a random distance away from it on the other side, it also reduces jump shock, its used for jump point assaults when the enemy is on the other side
